We stopped by here after fruit picking because the neighboring chinese noodle place was completely full in our toddlers were really starting to get cranky for food. Cute little sit down, tepanyaki, place. There were plenty of different food options to fit our tastes including vegetarian options. It feels like this place is more built as a to go place rather than a sit down spot, but even so, the service from the waiters, we're top notch, and they helped us with getting our toddlers situated and helping with the explaining items on the menus. Food came out pretty quick and was well cooked and hot. I would say in terms of a takeout tepanyaki place this place is pretty good. I enjoyed my steak and shrimp with fried rice and our toddler really enjoyed his tofu with fried rice. The portions were pretty big and so everyone left full after a full day of fruit picking. Fuji grill has been on my "to try" list for a while. After getting a coupon from a local mailer, figured I'd check it out for Friday night take out. This place is popular!! There was a steady stream of pick up orders, new phone orders being placed and a few parties seated and dining in. At first, the service seemed very chaotic but they seem to have a system that works and within 20 minutes of placing it, in store, it was ready. I got the tofu teppanyaki which came with veggies and white rice. Nicely cooked and plenty of food for a second meal another day. Not only was my entire portion smaller as a whole but I also got way less steak in my order. My partner ordered a combo plate, so his steak portion should have been a little smaller because he got steak and shrimp, but he had more steak in his dish than mine. I ordered the steak meal... Fuji Grill is a take out Japanese fast food dinner. You can eat indoors - they have adequate seating (see pic). The service was prompt and the take in individual was friendly. This review is focused on the food. I am not including what we witness during our stay. In this review. Crispy Calamari - 4/5 When eaten immediately, the calamari breading had a very nice crunch. The seasoning was very good and the calamari rings were tender except for one small calamari ring which was over fried and hard. Except for that one little calamari ring, I would order this again. Teppanyaki Shrimp and Scallop 4/5 The scallops were cooked just right. The shrimp was slightly over cooked, but not to the point where the shrimp is dry and hard. It was still very good. The Teppanyaki sauce was savory, slightly on the sweet side, and very tasty. The scallops and shrimp were placed in a bed of veggies (broccoli, onions, zucchini, and carrots). Incident: We sat down at one of the tables inside the Fuji Grill. We intended to dine there after our food was prepared and served. While waiting, the female that entered Fuji Grill just after we did (seen in the pic ) and went behind the counter (assuming she's an employee too). It is uncleared what transpired, but the male take-in person and the female started to talk to one another in their native language aggressively. The female (employee?) started shouting at the male employee, both going back and forth. The male employee told the female to leave. The female remained on her phone and sat down behind the boxes. I may or may not have been here two days in a row soooo good! The fried rice was delicious and definitely my favorite with the orange sauce on top. Online ordering is super easy and food is ready in 20-30 minutes. First day I ordered the steak and chicken combo. Plenty of rice and I loved the sauce and veggies. Chicken was a bit dry and there was definitely more chicken than steak (reason for 4 stars not 5) Side of fried rice was a good amount too. Second day was the steak and shrimp. The shrimp tempura is another one of my favorites. I have not actually sat inside to dine in, however the inside looks very clean when picking up my order. The food was average unfortunately. The steak was cooked perfectly and the shrimp / scallop dish was good. The rest leaves a lot to be desired. Prices are great with about $16 for shrimp and steak combo. The owners are nice and friendly. They cook your meal quick but comes out fresh and super flavorful. I'm glad I found this place! I was in the area and I was craving some type of rice plate so I took to Yelp and this was the first place that popped up. After reading a few of their reviews and looking at the pictures I was sold. Once I arrived to the restaurant I liked how the interior was so clean and looks to be a brand new place. The staff were very welcoming, they greeted me as soon as I walked in and the food was ready when I got there. They asked if I wanted some sauces (which I have forgotten the names of) they explained what they were and which food items they paired well with. Digging into the steak & shrimp teppanyaki was a treat. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly while the shrimp were nice and plump, not at all chewy and they had so much flavor.
