Food was made perfectly and quickly ! I enjoyed the meal it was very delicious, friendly service and quick and fresh would 100% recommend

Curry Chicken Pizza Twist
Marah H.

I have mixed emotions in this place because the pizza flavors are so unique but they're almost too unique if that makes sense. I've had their lamb pizza and their chicken curry pizza. Both a little over the top but well prepared. Flavor was spot on a bit overbearing. I probably won't be trying any wild flavors if I decide to dine here again. I've only ordered carry out or delivery so I'm not sure what they have to offer by way of dine in.

Mango Habanero Pizza

This place is a whole new twist on pizza so their name is fitting ! Seems like a fairly new business still located in a pretty large strip mall area on Meridian which is around McDonalds and Michael's craft store among many other businesses... it's a small place that seems like a family operation with a counter to take food to go, no place to sit down to eat which is okay for me as I don't always like to dine in anyways. I didn't interact much with the cashier but she was very polite. I like sweet and spicy foods so the Mango Habanero pizza was the one that stood out for me (mango habenero sauce, cheese, chicken, jalepenos, red onion and pineapple). It wasn't the greatest pizza I've ever had but it was good ! It looked appealing and the all the flavors were there !! They also included a little packet of crushed red pepper and a side of ranch without me even asking which was much appreciated. The menu is interesting and I'd like to come back and try their "spicy lamb pizza twist" which I can only imagine would be like a spicy gyro pizza and a whole new flavor adventure for my mouth ! Until next time, keep it twisted Pizza Twist !

Pizza Deal
Clare B.

I ordered their meal deal where it's 2 slices of pizza and a drink for $5 which was being advertised outside. When I got my food, the '2 slices' was actually a regular slice cut in half. The worker also made me extremely uncomfortable. He kept giving me fist bumps, staring at me, and even said 'I love you' on my way out. Would not recommend coming here especially if you are a young woman alone.

This place is soooooo good. We got it for dinner tonight. I got the spicy lamb kabob pizza. It came with their signature Tandoori sauce, mozzarella cheese, lamb, red onion, jalapeño, pineapple, garlic, ginger and ciantro. I got it hand tossed. It had so much flavor. My husband got the supreme and that was very good too. Im excited to try the other pizza combinations they have.

We love this place! Best kept secret, as you can still walk in and get a table most of the time. Go…read morewhile that's still a thing! :D I was raised by Sicilians (sounds very "raised by wolves" which, if you've been through a holiday dinner where your entire family ends up in a passionate *ahem* discussion, is not entirely inaccurate); excellent Italian food is the standard. As a result, I'm a little difficult to please with restaurant Italian food. Amici's is one of a very few Italian restaurants I'll keep going back to. Most of it is, in fact, the food. I have not had one bad bite there - ever! Whether it's lasagna or wood fired pizza or pesto pasta or chicken Marsala or manicotti or steak or dessert... you get the point - it's scrumptious. Man, I'm hungry now. LOL The icing on the cake, though, are the employees. Nearly everyone we've spoken to has worked there for years and has only positive things to say about working there. That says something about the management/owners, right? It feels good to support a restaurant that doesn't treat its employees like fearful minions! The restaurant itself is lovely. It's clean, nicely decorated, unassuming and comfortable for either dressing up for date night and vino, or dropping in wearing jeans for pizza and beer (I mean, so to speak - we don't drink... did I mention the n/a Amici punch is delicious?). My only caveat is I've got a sweet tooth so I'd love to see them expand their dessert collection! Special kudos to John, a server in his early 60s. He took great care of us the first time we went there, and we make a special point to say hi to him every time we visit. He always remembers us! Suffice it to say, we will be going back. When we remember our monthly "nicer" date nights, we go to Amici's.

We tried them for dinner this past week and by our experience nothing has changed. Service was horrible and non existent. Had to hail our server three times to get additional drinks. Also after the food was literally dropped at the table we learned it was not hot. That took more time to get the server and additional time to get the meal refired. The place was fairly empty but lots of dirty tables and stuff on the floor. Not to good So again, sorry but this was the last visit.

The atmosphere is warm and lively, the location is perfect, and the entire staff made the experience feel elevated without being pretentious. We had a 5:15 dinner reservation and the restaurant was already packed, which honestly says a lot. The staff was incredibly kind and knowledgeable about both the wine list and menu, and every recommendation felt thoughtfully curated. The food was phenomenal. We have the chef special which was a chicken skin dish and the short rib pasta with the added burrata; flavorful, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. You can tell a lot of care goes into every dish. Definitely one of those places that feels just as good for a casual night out as it does for celebrating something special. Already looking forward to coming back.

Happy hour menu now is pretty bleak. My negroni was excellent but the old-fashioned flavor was off and seemed watered down. The bacon wrapped dates had only two dates on a stick for $6! Wish they would at least write quantity (2) on the menu if not give 3-4 as a tapa. They were out of bread buns for the HH burger even though it was 4:30pm and so we got the regular menu potato croquettes instead. They were ok but essentially just 4 giant tater tots for $14. I miss the pickled veggies with pimiento cheese and bread! And their happy hour with pasta used to be the bomb.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this local business!…read more I first found them a few years ago while doing my yearly winter craft bazaar shopping at local community locations. Each year, I would wait patiently to stock up on my favourtie spices from this company. It was also a chance to see the lovely couple who is so friendly and generous that sells their spices! The wife would be at one bazaar and her husband would be at another location... so cute! Their spices are dried and packed with punch! My favourites are: garlic sesame; creamy galic; wasabi - packed with lots of garlic is how I like it! It is great for making easy party dips and lovely to put on meats or sauces for baking. A very nice gift idea too for those friends who love to cook =D Interestly, while visiting Puyallup Farmers Market this past weekend, I came upon their booth! It wasn't sold by the lovely couple I know, so I am not sure if its a family business or not. The man was vague in sharing details... but their packaging is local and I know I'll see them again at the local winter bazaars. Give them a try! Currently, you can purchase their spices through ordering via facebook or email... or do like I do, and wait for the winter bazaars! www.facebook.com/pages/For-the-Love-of-Pasta

No reservations. There was 1 spot open in the small dedicated lot and then I found a spot on the street. Recommend coming in fewer vehicles if possible. No reservation at peak dinner time (5:30) on a Wednesday, the host (and manager?) found a spot for us promptly anyway and he was super kind and our server for the night. Preschooler was asleep in my arms, but we made it work. We ordered: 1 rose cider (sweet but not too sweet), 1 pulpo (grilled octopus!) starter, 1 boscaiola pasta for the preschooler (boxed leftovers), 1 spring ravioli (more Italian name), and 1 rabbit with polenta entree. Each main came with salad and meal started with bread and whipped butter. We were offered a kid menu option of pasta with alfredo, marinara, or bolognese sauce, but opted for normal menu so we could bring back leftovers. We loved the pulpo and the salads (they offered to box up the preschoolers salad since she was still sleeping). Kid enjoyed the bread. Bit of a wait for mains but nothing out of the ordinary. All the dishes we ordered were delicious. Boscaiola was a hit with the kiddo since she loves pasta and sauce and mushrooms and cheese. Husband thought his main was really good. I was so full after eating all of my ravioli. Really impressed with the quality of food and the level of service. A busy place, but as mentioned, we were luckily seated right away. We're thrilled to have finally made it here after our old Italian standby in proctor shutdown and we can't wait to come back! Definitely recommend. Parking: you can find it, not plentiful but not bad either. Kid friendly: sort of! If your kid likes pizza or pasta!

Catering Review : We were planning an intimate wedding with…read moreonly 36 guests, and honestly, finding a caterer was one of the more discouraging parts of the planning process. Many local caterers had very high minimums, which I completely understand since spring and summer weddings are their busiest season. What frustrated me wasn't necessarily the cost--it was the lack of follow-up, dismissive conversations, and unanswered inquiries. That all changed when I contacted Mama Stortini's. Almost immediately, I received a response from Maguire, who expressed genuine interest in hosting our event. Over the next several days, he worked closely with me, answering questions and helping me bring my vision to life. Maguire is top-notch. He was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and professional. Most importantly, he made me feel valued as a customer, regardless of the size of my event. Once we booked, I was introduced to Brittany Blakeney. What a wonderful person! Brittany was positive, genuine, and incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. She assured me that everything would go smoothly and that I would have nothing to worry about on my wedding day--and she was absolutely right. She detailed our event so thoroughly that by the time we had our final planning call, I hardly had any questions left to ask. When our wedding day finally arrived, the catering team was on time, prepared, and ready to go. The setup was beautiful, the food display was impressive, and the food itself was absolutely delicious. I am disappointed that I forgot the names of the two young gentlemen who served our guests because they were amazing. Although I didn't have much time to interact with them during the event, every interaction I did have was impressive. They were professional, courteous, friendly, and attentive. Whoever hired them made an excellent choice. We received so many compliments from our guests about both the food and the service. Mama Stortini's played a huge role in making our wedding day special, and for that, we are incredibly grateful. Thank you to Maguire, Brittany, and the entire catering team for helping make our wedding day so memorable.
