Chicago pizza at BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse - "Eh, Forget-aboud-it!!!" BJ's pizza for four times in a row has been served, cold and old looking to me. I stopped going there and ordering their pizzas. While looking for another Chicago style pizza, I found this place a block south off the corner of Hearn Ave and Stony Point Road (right beside Starbucks on Stony Point Road). The new owner of Pizza Twist, Sagar, was very friendly and professional. My family ordered food to stay in. I saw that they had Henhouse beer on tap, so I had to stay and drink it there to enjoy a Henhouse properly. We ordered cheese pizza for my kids, and created our own pizza combo dish, along with hot wings. While waiting, I enjoyed my beer along with family chat, and reviewed the meaning behind the "twist" part of their name. Pizza Twist is a California original back in 2014 and now has 60 locations in the US and Canada, and just recently opened a new one in Jersey City. Its twist is not only that it's a Chicago style pizza but with Indian cuisine influence. Woww!!! They have Tikka Masala Pizza Twist, Spicy Lamb Kabob Pizza, and Curry Pizza Twist, which I'd love to try on my next visit. When we received the pizza, it was very delicious, good flavor combo that we created, more of vegetarian but added pepperoni to it. The price and value for what we had was decent, can' say much for BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse. Overall, Sagar was very hospitable, the ambiance was delightful, and the value and quality was excellent. I rate this an "A" for a family pizza restaurant. read more

Last night I ordered a medium gluten free pizza, bone in wings and vegan wings. I regret not taking a photo but we were too famished and had to heat up all the food. The delivery time was within the window but the food came without a bag and did not receive the 3 condiments ordered for $1.50 each I think. The order was placed on the cold ground, no doorbell ring just a text that the food had been left. After checking each dish the pizza was luke warm, chicken wings were COLD, and the "vegan" wings which are basically meatballs with dry rub cakes to the bottom of the bowl, also cold. The only thing that came as expected was the garden salad but again no dressing. Had to microwave the wings, air fry the pizza and make a oil vinaigrette for the salad which in turn was healthier. I've eaten here before and the options with a twist are unlike any other pizza place but the delivery service was terrible and I don't think I'll order here again. read more

Bland, packaged tasting Pizza. We ordered a large combo, with extra cheese and some wings. Not much flavor and there was hardly any cheese despite paying 2 bucks extra to get "extra". It was late for our pick up by 20 minute, plus it was cold UPON PICK UP at the small dive of a place. They advertised their pizza as Chicago style, but it's not. The dough tastes like what you get from frozen freezers at the Grocer. Their ingredients and toppings taste like processed, artificial, crap. I would not make a return to this franchise. My family usually devours the entire pizza, but half of it was left over nobody wanted seconds. I tried, adding some salt and pepper, Parmesan cheese, even some extra mozzarella of my own, and it really couldn't do much to bring back any flavor. The sauce I think is really the problem, plus the dough plus whoever made it just didn't seem to care. in reading this restaurant reviews on yelp, you can see how inconsistent they are, apparently you either love, or you hate this pizza. The other day my boyfriend went again with his friends and the guy/owner or who ever he is starting commenting rudely on my outfit I wore the day I came in with him and also how fat I was I work in customer service and not once is it okay for an owner to talk about a customer's body or how they look. I very rarely leave reviews on Yelp, but I have to say I was beyond impressed with the customer service I just received here today. I've never ordered anything from this restaurant before but they had vegan options, so I gave it a try. I ordered the Bombay vegan pizza, which was delicious! The pizza dough alone is the some of the best I've had (really fresh, and soft). I noticed after taking a bite that it was missing the vegan chicken, though. Not a huge deal-- it was still delicious! So I called the store to inform them that it had been left off, and apparently the corporate site had changed their options where there was no longer a chi'ken or just veggie option, so the manager was unaware of this error. He immediately offered to have a new one sent to me right away, which was really kind but I couldn't handle two pizzas. We agreed to a free pizza at some point in the future though! I also asked what made the garlic sauce creamy (because it was so rich, you couldn't tell it was plant-based) and he sent me a picture of the ingredients list! Not only did this immediate and above-and-beyond customer service win me over, but so did the cleanliness of the establishment, and the quality of the pizza. I will definitely be going back again! I had the worst experience with this place. It started with the fact that the pizza went to the wrong address and when I finally found the pizza-I had to go get it from where it was delivered to- it was cold. I called and told the restaurant and the woman on the phone said I would get a partial refund. Never once offered to deliver a new pizza. Then the owner gave me a voucher but won't tell me for how much so I can know before I order. I messaged over a week ago and still haven't heard back. This is the worst seriously. Not to mention now the voucher is expired and I never got to use it because the owner never responded to me. So unprofessional and absolutely absurd.! Will never order from here again. What a creative menu! Iv never seen flavors like this anywhere else. Think Indian food flavors but on pizza! They even have a whole section of vegan pizzas and this delicious Vegan Twisty pocket filled with fried cauliflower bites, house butter sauce, red onion, and melty cheese. It's folded over and baked up perfectly like a calzone. It was only $7.99 and I was so full after. The food only took about 10 minutes to make fresh and everyone was so nice. Well, recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and have entered the Keto Diet due to dietary restrictions When I found this menu stating they had "Keto-Friendly Pizza" I had to give it a try. I called and was answered with "Hello?" I awkwardly said I'd like to place a order for pickup. I said I'd like the Meat Keto Option. The man on the phone had no idea what I was talking about it. After multiple attempts at ordering the pizza, I asked for a manager or someone else. He responded with no one was available. I ended the phone call. This used to be my favorite Italian restaurant "Simply Delicious." I was devastated when I heard they weren't there anymore. Recently I have learned I need to stay away from Gluten and Dairy, which was heartbreaking since those are my two favorites! When my dad told me of a pizza place that serves GF and dairy free, I had to try it. I loved it! I love the cauliflower pizza crust, I love all types of dough, I enjoyed the thin crust. The vegan cheese was good, I wasn't too much of a fan (I haven't found a vegan cheese I love so far, so I just do without most of the time). Never knew this was a chain and was curious about the twist to chicago-style pizza, so I went with my neighbor to try this place out. We ordered a chicago style pizza with pepperoni and crunchy bacon and some garlic breadsticks. What we got wasn't really a chicago style pizza, where the cheese laid underneath of the sauce, it was more of a deep dish, but still amazing. Not greasy whatsoever and the crunchy bacon was flavorful and obviously crunchy. Breadsticks weren't that special because it was just pizza dough covered with cheese, but for only $4.99, it's a really great deal. It gave a good first impression so I decided to try it again with my girlfriend the second time I ordered again the custom deep dish pizza with pepperoni and crunchy bacon and decided to try their specialty indian pizza, the butter chicken and the tandoori chicken pizza. Very unique flavors in a pizza that I've never experienced before, and the flavors of the cilantro and ginger, which i thought would be weird, worked really well with the pizza. Best gluten free pizza place. This place had received a massive facelift and a new owner/staff. I have been here 1 time before 2020 and while the pizza was good, the place was like a hole in the wall and the staff was disinterested. When I got here yesterday I almost walked back out as I thought we were in the wrong store. The new bar is beautiful and everything looks CLEAN! Gone is the grimy feeling and the new staff is extremely friendly! The bartender was hanging out with the guests while still serving drinks and keeping things cleaned. And one of the owners helped my partner and I get thru the menu with his own descriptions and reccomendations. He even let us taste the sauces that go on the pizzas. We ended up getting 2 pizzas and an order of fries, the food was so good, I didn't remember until we were putting away left overs to take a picture. And our left overs are already gone so its good I remembered when I did! When you look at reviews of this place, dont look at anything pre Feb 2023 that is when the new owners got a hold or it. I was starving for pizza and a bit upset that my regular place changed their hours a really really raised their prices (RT). When I arrived to pick up my pizza the woman was confused because my order went through a 3rd party. Long story short, my pizza was just coming out of the oven. I ordered through the yelp app and that process was very simple and easy to navigate. I ordered for 3 pm on Super Bowl Sunday, showed up at 3 and my order took around 10 minutes to get ready. I ordered some wings Tequila Lime and Hot And Spicy. 6 wings for six bucks, not going to break your bank and the Wings were pretty tasty. The Caesar salad was pretty average, tasty, but nothing out the ordinary. The wings might've been the frozen wings but they were really tasty and perfectly cooked so I have no issue with that! The pizza crust starts with flour in the restaurant, not frozen dough, and they use Italian mozzarella! I loved the pizza. My wife loved the nuggets. The last time we figured maybe it was just what we ordered that didn't taste good so this time around we ordered 2 different types of pizzas. Called tonight and was told that I was 5.5 miles away and they are only willing to go to 5 miles. It was an order over $50 and that .5 miles was a deal breaker for them. The pizza is Domino's quality at best and they won't be getting another order from this guy. Also, steer clear of their lunch buffet as it's been one, maybe two pizzas that have been out for god knows how long and they balk at you when you request a better selection. They were friendly and professional and the pizzas were good. I was very please I ordered a large chicken bbq with vegan cheese, since I am dairy free. The other large was a pepperoni and sausage. I haven't had pizza in over a year because places don't offer dairy free options and I usually get to just watch everyone around me enjoy their pizza, but this time I got to be a part of the pizza party! This is by far the best pizza I have had in Santa Rosa. I've had both the Indian style pizza and a create your own and they're both amazing!
