Chicken piccata, Beet-Nik salad, and clam chowder
    Kelly M.

In my search for a dog-friendly lunch spot in Sebastopol, CA, I found "Hole in the Wall" restaurant, located in a strip mall, with plenty of outdoor tables. Since we were away from home, my husband and I decided to split one entree. We shared the Beet-Nik salad, which featured both red and golden beets, pistacios, citrus segments, and a citrus herb vinaigrette, a cup of clam chowder, and chicken piccata with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was delicious, and it ended up being plenty of food for the two of us. Zoey loved the few bites she got. This was the best meal we had during our two-night trip in the area.

My friends and I came here after a wine tasting. We always end with a nice meal, and everybody's good to go. This place was very close to our tasting. Once we saw the menu, we realized that their Dutch baby is the thing to get here, so we ordered two. We just shared it, it's similar to a pancake, only baked with cinnamon and apples, and had syrup, not overly sweet delicious our severs were fast and efficient the food was excellent it's not fancy but good we all loved that Dutch baby yum I definitely need to come back happy customers right here so I'll see you there. Ambience, comfortable and clean. Cheers, my friends SYOY 02/02/26

Great food and atmosphere on the outskirts of downtown Sebastopol. Great food, options, drinks and prices!

This is a small (inside) restaurant, tucked into the middle of a small commercial center. They have a lot of outside seating. I was greeted and sat very quickly. I chose to sit outside as the day was beautiful. The entire staff was so friendly and welcoming. I ordered the Fun Guy's omelet that was stuffed with several types of mushrooms, spinach, grilled onions, and added avocado. Loved that the potatoes were very crispy. Also, I ordered a Nutella and strawberry buckwheat crepe. I thoroughly enjoyed everything. It was so good. The only downside to this place is parking. This commercial building has very little and not much street parking either. If still go again. Highly recommend.

We keep coming back because we love the food and portions! The service is always outstanding.

    Marinated steak salad

Solid spot for a classic brunch experience. I had the marinated steak salad which was great, and there were some interesting menu items not at traditional brunch spots like a rib eye steak and gumbo. Some of the menu items had portion sizes that were pretty generous like mine, but some like the short rib hash felt a bit smaller. They were able to get an outdoor table set up for 11 very quickly which was much appreciated!

The best scramble ever. Perfect eggs.

I went to buy takeout from this little gem the day before, when my husband and I were squirreled away in a cozy AirBnb. I picked up his favorite "biscuits and gravy" and he was in B&G heaven for hours! So, when leaving town the next day, we decided to sample more of their menu by actually eating in. We had the apple crepe, the Hole in The Wall Scramble, and a cup of their soup of the day - red bean and sausage. The wait staff were amazing both days, taking orders quickly and were so friendly and efficient! Everything was outstanding here. The crepe was aromatic with fresh apples and cinnamon and whipped cream. The scramble came with a side of their potatoes and a homemade biscuit. The scramble had everything you could want in it, with fluffy eggs gently scrambled into the mix of spinach, caramelized onions, red bell, smoked ham and cheddar cheese. Yum! The eggs were perfectly cooked and not rubbery as some eateries struggle top avoid. The potatoes were also irresistible and cooked crunchy with a perfect seasoning. The cup of soup was smokey and hardy with just a little kick. Perfect for a cool day. Gotta check this place out. It was a winning find and we'll be back!

Not such a pretty picture BUT delicious breakfast burrito

5 Stars - Incredible Hidden Gem! This hole-in-the-wall spot is insanely good! We had the country fried potatoes, which were perfectly crispy and seasoned to perfection, and the breakfast burrito with bacon--lightly toasted all around, making every bite amazing. The flavors, the texture, and the care put into the food really stood out. It's the kind of place you find once and immediately know you'll be coming back. Can't wait for our next visit!

It comes with bacon, but I usually swap it for apple chicken sausage and they have no problem accommodating. There's plenty of indoor seating plus outdoor tables if you want to sit and people watch. On the wall was a chalkboard with the list of local farmers and vendors that they used to supply their restaurant. I loved how fresh and flavorful all the food was, but I loved their collaboration with small local business owners to provide them with things like eggs and dairy. I had an omelette with spinach, caramelized, tomatoes, chicken sausage, and goat cheese. This was one of the most delicious bites I've had at a breakfast spot in a long time. We also shared an order of beignets that came with some fresh apple butter, which was to die for! It felt like taking a bit off fall weather if that makes sense. My boyfriend had some biscuits and country gravy with a side of sausage and fried eggs. He loved everything that he ate as well. He also had a bloody Mary, which was made with Soju. The flavor and quality was top notch and you hardly missed the vodka from the drink. Our server was very friendly, and he offered some insight into the quality of the Soju and the vendors that they work with. The space is attractive, with interesting local art on the walls, but frankly the prices ($20 for the eggs, $27 for the sandwich, $7 for a small juice) were out of line.

I was expecting to feel blah about it. As we went in I saw they named the chef on the outside window, and I thought hmm, interesting. Going in we were greeted by the hostess whose smile was a little too deliberate, maybe it's a required smile enforced by the bosses which can sometimes not be the best feels for the customer. Bosses, please don't do that. But still she was nice and we were seated and helped quickly. They have a great menu with lots of enticing options, it was looking good already. Then we found out they had crab cake eggs benedict! So I skipped out on my other options, pancakes or huevos rancheros, and we split that. The prices seemed kind of high but then where is that not the case these days? Given the feel of the place it seemed fair to me. The food came and it was amazing. Generous amount of crab and it was real crab, with perfect eggs and sauce on a gorgeous english muffin that was... stay with me here I'm not trying to get fancy with prose here, let me just reuse what I said above: amazing. Somehow the muffin was both crisply toasted in butter to a crunch on top (of the muffin), yet amazingly chewy (in a good way) on the bottom. And not soggy, the sauce was well placed on top of the egg above the crab cake. The service was friendly and in all ways perfect. Food came quickly. The place was not noisy or perfumey. My only regret is I can only tell you about that one dish since that's what we shared. I was too full to finish the little smash-grilled baby potato discs so we took some to go.
