It's in a shopping mall, right before Gravenstein Highway splits. We went here for a 'date lunch' on a Wednesday. There was one other party. Ambience is ok, they have some Peruvian decor. Nice tables and silverware and plates. They have a good sized menu. Food was the surprise. I expected it to be different but it was quite tasty. We shared the empanadas 1 each - beef, chicken, pork. We also had the sweet plantains and the mango habanero ceviche. The empanadas were a little on the small side but they were delicious. The mango habanero ceviche was really just cooked shrimp with a mango habanero sauce and pickled red onions. There was also a dried plantain chip on top. Though I was expecting a more traditional ceviche, it was really tasty. The sweet plantains were excellent, just what you expect with more onions and a sour cream type sauce. Was driving from Guerneville back to Sac and this spot popped up on my radar thanks to Yelp. I have to admit that I don't know a ton about Peruvian food but what isn't there to like? Situated in a strip mall, parking is easy but don't let the nondescript exterior fool you inside sits a Peruvian cuisine adventure. I got the crispy jalea sandwich ($16) described as fried calamari tossed in chunio flour, panca powdered topped with salsa criolla, homemade roccotto aioli on a ciabatta bread. I opted for the house fries over the salad because I love me some fries. It was very good, the calamari was tender and not greasy in the slightest. The fries were Kennebec potatoes that melted in your mouth - light, crispy and tasty. My friend got the mixed seafood ceviche ($19) which came with fish, one green lip mussel, scallops, shrimp, calamari, and clams. cancha corn, choclo corn (reminded me of fresh corn nuts LOL) slice of baked yam, and platano macho chip. I tried the fish portion as I hadn't experienced shellfish as ceviche before and was a bit wary, but my friend who loves Peruvian food said it was excellent. Service was friendly and attentive. This place is an absolute gem and we felt lucky to stumble upon it -- it's probably one of my favorite restaurants in the Santa Rosa area now. You can tell they care deeply about what they're serving. What we tried: Papa Rellena: Perfectly crisp on the outside with a balanced, delicious filling. Yum! Camarones Al Pisco: Absolutely incredible. Served in a cast iron pan, the sauce was frothy, rich, and bursting with flavor. We wanted to soak up every last bit with bread. A must-order and the highlight of an already star-studded lunch. Ceviche Clasico: Fresh, vibrant, and perfectly executed with amazing flavors and textures. Tacos de Pescado: Delicious and satisfying. Highly recommend. Anticuchos de Corazon: Perfectly grilled, juicy skewers of beef heart. Delectable and another must-get. Empanada Trio: We couldn't decide, so the server suggested a mix of veggie, pork, and chicken. All were fantastic, but the veggie empanada? Surreal. Don't miss these. The vibe: This isn't a fancy spot, and that's part of its charm. It feels authentic, warm, and welcoming, like a neighborhood favorite with spectacular food hiding in plain sight. It's located in an unassuming spot in Sebastopol, and we happened to just try it after a quick Yelp search. And what a fine! This instantly became one of my favorite restaurants in the area. A Hidden Gem in Sebastopol On a recent weekend day drive past Sebastopol, I was determined to try a new place to eat, so I went to my trusted guide and friend Yelp on my mobile and decided on Inca's Peruvian Cuisine. The place is kind of hidden in a corner of a small shopping center off Gravenstein Highway, very close to where Petaluma Ave and S Main Street end. Anyhow, we walked in, and the place was empty! We were the only ones there! Later, we learned that on Sundays, the crowd shows up at around 5 or 6 PM. Inca's Peruvian Cuisine has been there for about one year. It offers a fusion of Indigenous Incan ingredients with influences from various cultures such as Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, Italian, and African! I know! It sounds like a mishmash of various cuisines, but it is surprisingly very good! We started with a Peruvian beet salad (Causa Santa Rosa), sweet plantains (Platanos Maduros), and Ceviche (Clasico). Loved it all! I enjoyed all three, but if you forced me to pick only one, I'd go with the beet salad! It was tasty and different. For the main dish, we decided to share a Lomo Saltado, which is wok-fried tenderloin beef (chicken is an option) with balsamic soy sauce mixed with red onions, tomatoes, and cilantro. It is served with fries and rice. We enjoyed it very much. Throughout our visit, the staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. We really enjoyed the experience. I could not leave without trying their Tres Leches, and it did not disappoint! As we were leaving, people began to show up. The place is small, but very nicely setup and maintained. I was pleasantly surprised at the menu. They have quite a variety of choices and a lot of them are seafood. I had the shrimp salad, which completely enjoyable, and with a nice char on the grilled shrimp. Wonderful authentic restaurant tucked in the rear of a little center behind the Starbucks. The server made us feel very welcome and although it was 3 pm we were able to get the lunch menu. We had an amazing pork sandwich that included sweet potatoes and salsa plus a lovely salad( you could also have French fries instead of salad). Since it was a cold day I had the delicious Chupe de Camnarones a delicious hearty soup which included potatoes, a poached egg and a plentiful amount of fresh shrimp plus garlic bread. My favorite is their seafood paella, - the sauce is just simply the best. Food is cooked just right for both seafood and meat. Mango cheesecake is so good ( just the right amount of mango/ not artificial tasting) all 4 of us shared a slice since we were too full. My husband also swears by their fries, best fries in town!!!! Came in after doing some wine tasting. It was an early dinner so it wasn't busy. There are so many things I wanted to try but I got the Lomo Saltado. I asked for it with the chicken but I got it with the beef. Not that big of deal, I still enjoyed it. The Balsamic soy sauce ran on to the fries and rice which I loved . We decided to try Peruvian food for the first time since it came highly recommended by yelp and our daughter. They have friendly servers and friendly patrons. I was at a loss deciding what to order and a sweet lady who was dining near us stopped by our table and told us that everything is delicious and the descriptions are accurate about each dish. She shared what she ordered and the names of other dishes they have tried in the past. We started off with the empanada appetizer (1 each of chicken, beef, and pork filling). They were very flavorful and it came with a dollop of yummy green sauce on the platter which paired beautifully with the empanadas. For our main courses, we ordered Ceviche Clasico (fish of the day in a lime sauce), Pan con Chicharron with fries (deep fried pork sandwich), and Sudado de Pescado (fresh fish in a bouillabaisse tomato sauce). The flavors were all interesting and tasty. My pork sandwich and fries were delicious. I am a big fan of fries and these were nicely prepared. It complemented the pork sandwich well. The Ceviche Clasico was beautifully displayed on the plate. It has a very tangy lime taste! Perhaps pair it with a side of rice or something rather than eat it straight as an entree. The fish bouillabaisse had a nice blend of flavors, textures and colors. There are many seafood items and a couple vegan options as well. Our server was sweet and courteous. Delicious food and lovely presentation! I'm stunned this place was so empty on a Friday night. Perhaps they need more signage on the road, as it's hard to even know there's a restaurant back there. I'm not Peruvian, but I spent a year there not long ago, and the ceviches and the flavors of everything (from lomo saltado and seco de cordero and adobo de chancho to aguadito de pollo) were sparkling and highly authentic. Nice little place off the path to somewhere in Sebastopol , we happened to run into IPC on a hot evening. There was no AC but a fan was blowing and the staff was friendly and accommodating which made up for the temps - as did the cold H2O. We partook in one of their signature dishes - the lomo saltado, as well as veggie noodles. The tastes had both depth and breadth, and it was even suggested to replace the fries with a wonderful salad due to gluten allergies. We tried: tequeños 10/10 great starter aguadito 10/10 small bowl but full of flavor! lomo saltado 10/10 tender steak, fries on the point and Jazmin rice perfectly cooked the seafood paella 9.5/10, medium size (compared with the lomo saltado) but has a lot of seafood, a little extra sweet creamy to my palate but is because I'm picky lol. The entrees run around $20-30 but they're large portions. I brought 2 friends and we all had leftovers. Unfortunately I bit down in a rock that was in my rice but no damage. It can happen. This is a very delayed post from months ago; I actually thought I finished and posted. We were visiting from out of town to house and dog sit for my brother in law. We wanted to try something different for dinner; found this place in Yelp. Did not dine here, ordered to go because my mother is wheelchair bound, but I think she was taking a nap at the time we went to pick up food. Upon arrival, was greeted by very friendly staff. The restaurant is a good size and nicely decorated. I was there before the dinner rush, so it was quiet. I honestly cannot remember what I ordered other than lomo saltado, a classic we love; it was very good. I think we also ordered a fish dish, appetizer and dessert . The appetizer was either potato balls or empanada; on first bite it was savory, but then sour; wasn't sure it was supposed to taste like that or maybe the meat was bad? I called the restaurant immediately to report that. They assured me it was freshly made, and it was probably an ingredient , olives? But it was definitely not spoiled meat. I will have to take a look at the menu to see if I could jog my memory and then edit this post but I can say the food was very delicious (other than the appetizer tasting slightly sour); we would definitely go back again when we are in the area. Obviously proud of their place and their amazing good. With one of theirs dishes thy serve hand cut fries. They don't offer these fries as a side. Having lived in Peru for nearly 6 years, I had high hopes but low expectations for this Peruvian Restaurant in Sebastopol. My fears were totally unfounded. The Ceviche Mixto in this modest spot was as tasty and satisfying as any I enjoyed in Lima's best restaurants. Better yet, I've never seen one as artistically presented as this one was. It turned out that every dish served to our party of 5 was prepared with culinary skill and presented with artistic flair. I tasted them all, and was stunned by their quality, authenticity and variety. The service was warm, welcoming, and responsive. The setting was clean and appropriate for the fine meal we enjoyed. I plan to get there at least once each time I return to Sebastopol. Whether you're familiar with Peruvian cooking or not, I'd recommend you try Inca's as soon as you can. Dickie G read more

Located in a Sebastopol strip mall (unfortunately partially blocked by Starbucks, which may prohibit drive by dinner decision makers,) Inca's is a must try. Food: We ordered the trio of appetizers plate, which came with a number of choices. We chose the beef croquette, chicken empanada, and tequenos (cheese). Perfectly sized and exploding with flavor, do try both the medium and spicy sauces that are offered up to you in addition to what's on the plate. The Lomo Saltado was well seasoned and came with fries that border crispy (which we love). The Peruvian paella was chock full of seafood - bay scallops, shrimp, mussels, squid, fish, and even a crab claw. Incredible portions for the price. Service: Friendly! Our waiter was incredible. He walked us through the menu, explained each dish we enquired about with extreme detail, and kept our water glasses filled. Cost: The Lomo Saltado and the paella ran us $25 per. The two dinners, appetizer, drinks and dessert ran us $93 after tax. Quite decent for all the food we had. Overall: Great food, great service, with a wonderful ambience. Absolutely delicious! Traditional Peruvian cuisine, served beautifully and quickly in generous portions. We ordered chicken empanadas to start. They were flaky and crispy, filled with tender juicy chicken, served with pickled red onion and a tangy mint sauce. Entrees: tacu tacu de pobre, my favorite kind of comfort food: delicious steak, pounded tender and pressed, on a pile of tender rice and beans and salty-sweet plátanos. Arroz con mariscos, rich with flavor, a variety of shellfish in a tomato base, well cooked and balanced. To finish, the most delicious tres leches cake I've ever had, a great tender square of gentle, fine-crumbed and moist cake--not overly sweet like some. Turns out it is house made: all the cooking and baking are done by a husband and wife team. Our server, their daughter, is the sweetest and took great care of us.
