Definitely the best in town. When I walked in I felt as if I had entered the pizza place I grew up with (Fultano's in Astoria). I will be back. Everything from the lovely crispy crust (this from a thick crust person), the spicy sauce (LOVE IT!) and the yummy toppings made such a great pizza. They even offered the choice between fresh or canned mushrooms. ;o) I gave 4 stars because I wish the salad bar had more choices. read more

Second experience while staying in town locally was not as positive as our first. Called in a phone order of multiple sandwiches (6) and two pizzas. Not the toughest order in the world. Had the lad repeat it back to me which he did without a problem. Ten minutes later, got a call from manager stating that they were out of sourdough bread (stated employee even was sent to local market across the street but no sourdough was to be found). No biggie, use a french roll instead. Went in to pick up order and manager stated that there were problems with the sandwiches. She berated the employee in front of us stating that she doesn't "know why he is allowed to answer the phones". (Well maybe the manager would know that answer huh?) He repeated the order back to me, so I am not sure if it was ALL his fault, especially when SHE was the one told to use a french roll for the sourdough order, and the sandwich was made with wheat bread. Point one finger, four point back at you my dear. Was sent home with veggies in a container, so we all had to make our own sandwiches the way we wanted them when we got home. Hell, even crappy Subway makes the thing for you. Oh, and they forgot the pickles for all of the orders as well. This visit appeared to be similar to our last one with the fact that there were few dine-in customers, and a slow pace of take out orders. Madison, we miss you already!! I sense a trend of poor leadership. It was pretty comical last time to witness,but now it is affecting the quality of your business. These are blaring signals that owners should heed and nip before they get out of control. We really love your place and food, but if it is a constant boondoggle to get an order correct...the loyalty will fade. Get with the programme. read more

This is a good family restaurant. There is a wall full of older arcade games, and there are a bunch of candy / small toy vending machines. The pizza was surprisingly good, though be aware that the pizza sizes are slightly smaller than the pans that are shown on the wall. As another reviewer mentioned, the food and drink purchasing is separate, but one of the employees explained it is split that way because they also serve alcoholic beverages. read more

While this is by far the best tasting Pizza for miles, the salad bar is in desperate need of updating as is the decor, it's been the same for 30 years!! Why do you have to ask for the small container of ranch dressing? I'm sure if they put it on the salad bar people would use more but having to ask for it makes this restaurant appear cheap. I have never been anywhere else that does this. If Pizza vendor wants to stay competitive they need to redecorate, improve customer service, be more welcoming, and redesign that salad bar. Disappointed! Love the pizza....it's been a staple in Scappoose for years. They do half & half pizzas, and they used to do pizzas in thirds and quarters. It helps when you have picky kids who don't want to pick off stuff they don't like. I didn't have a problem being charged the highest price of the 1/3 or 1/4 of the pizza (usually 1/3 cheese, 1/3 pepperoni and the last 1/3 combo with fresh tomatoes). I'd pay the price of a giant combo and they used a fraction of the toppings. I spent my pizza money at Fultanos tonight. They didn't have an issue making my pizza in thirds. I'm happy, both of my nephews are happy and so is Fultanos. read more

They have good pizza, and I think great crust. The option of canned vs. fresh mushrooms is great! Except today, I called and ordered a sandwich "to-go". They offer three types of bread, and were out of one (sourdough). Fine. I chose a ham and swiss on a french roll. When the kid on the phone asked what condiments and toppings I wanted (they offer lettuce, mayo, mustard, tomatoes), I said "all of them, the works". Apparently that translates to "None". I received ham and swiss on a French roll, with NOTHING ELSE on it! i should have checked the sandwich before I left. I discovered this AFTER I got back to work and it was too late to do anything about it. $6.50 for a plain jane sandwich, tiny bag of chips and a pickle slice. FAIL. Best pizza in Scappoose and St. Helens hands down. Minus one star because they do screw you with the sizes. Don't pay more for the giant size, it's not worth the price because it's not any bigger than a large. The salad bar is pitiful, I recommend ordering to go. The bread sticks aren't worth buying, they aren't made fresh they are frozen and spongey, disappointing. read more

Stopped in here at the recommendation of someone my husband knows. First impression on walking in was 'retro'...which is cool with me, so long as the food it legit. It's your typical old school pizza parlor. We ordered our pizzas, then slid along the counter to wait for our drinks and salad plate. The drinks were served up in a frosty mug and I was handed my chilled plate & fork. The salad bar was pretty boring, very limited selection...but it wasn't terrible. We took our seat and waited for the pizza to arrive. Took maybe 15 minutes in an nearly empty restaurant, so not bad. When it arrived I loved seeing the large amounts of toppings. As I picked up the pizza to take my first bite I noticed the bottom crust was nice and crisp and covered in cornmeal, I was excited. Then....I took a bite. BLAH! Holy cow that pizza crust was so incredibly bland it ruined the dang whole thing. I sat there continuing to eat it, trying with all my might to like it. Everything about seemed like it should have been amazing, but it wasn't. No matter how many bites I took it still tasted like topped cardboard. :( read more

Some of the best pizza I've ever eaten. I live in WA and don't even like to eat pizza all that much. When I visit Oregon this is practically all I eat as we don't have pizza like this in WA. The crust and sauce is just amazing how it's just perfect. Perfect fresh toppings and the service is first class all the way. The Templin's turned me onto this place .... I heard from the locals that the best pizza around was Pizza Vendor, so I just had to try it. The decor and interior is typical pizza house. Family friendly. I got a deluxe pizza to go. This pizza is a bit different than the norm...the crust was crispy, yet not really thin. I don't know how they manage to get it that way, but it was a nice surprise and very good. Lots of cheese and toppings. My only disappointment was that there wasn't much sauce, but that's just my personal preference. The prices are very reasonable at $15.75 for a large deluxe (small, large, family). They also had a small salad bar, but I didn't check it out. read more

I had the personal size BBQ chicken pizza. It was delicious. The wait for the pizza seemed a little long. Only two people working. Had to wait for my beer. All is self serve. tHEY did bring me my pizza. Salad bar, if you could call it a salad bar was available, I would call it a lettuce wagon. They don't refill anything. they didnt seem to make it look presentable. Looked like a kid destroyed it. Pizza was delicious. Screaming children and long wait. Don't know where they found these Atari games from 1971. Probably been there since they opened. Old wood paneling. I would recommend ordering to go and calling a head of time. This is a solid pizza place. They have fresh ingredients and the cheese they use is amazing. I can always tell there is cheese on my pizza and how much, but rarely does it stick out like the cheese at PV. They always cook their pizzas fresh. My favorite is all veggie.
