So many places require reservations but Pizza Village provides delicious options for a quick bite, or full on meals. Excellent food! A real surprise for a 'pizzeria'! Chicken saltimbocca over linguine was delicious. Super tender chicken, fresh mozzarella and spinach in a yummy sauce. It came with soup or salad. We were at Peddler's Village and we were hungry. We were going to eat at another restaurant nearby but the wait was an hour. We did not want to wait so we decided to have dinner at this pizzeria. We got 5 slices of their regular slice. It was simply delicious. Can't say anything bad about their pizza. Arguably the BEST white pizza I have ever eaten. The ricotta on top was so fresh and delicious, the dough was not too crispy but not too soggy, the perfect hand-made recipe. We were all so hungry. Ordered: chicken Caesar, meatball side, penne shrimp marinara, wings, a plain slice, a chicken cheesesteak, and onion rings. EXCELLENT meatballs and sauce, everything else - very good except my daughter's penne dish. She said the pasta was "watery" and had a bland sauce :( Ill try it tomorrow and be the judge. LONG wait and a bit of a language barrier when ordering. Spacious, yet not enough seating. Caputo is a solid option for lunch in Peddler's village if you are looking for a place that is both reasonably priced and kid friendly. We came after going to Giggleberry Fair a few blocks away and immediately noticed what a huge space it was. Although there was no waitstaff at the tables, we were able to order quickly and sit where we wanted. We ordered one of their brick oven pizzas, a chicken parm dinner and a soup. I can't say that I was impressed with any of the items. They were okay, but nothing I would return for. The chicken parm dinner was good, a nice portion, but the red sauce was super bland. Even after adding a generous amount of pepper and Parmesan cheese, it was just okay. The brick oven pizza I expected it to be as pretty as the specialty ones on display, but it looked like it had been rushed out of the oven. The crust was so bland and not crispy like most brick oven pizzas I have had in the past. Overall it is reasonably priced and not too many people there if you need to go somewhere with a loud toddler like we do. read more

We ventured to the other side of the village and the smell coming out of this place lured us in. we saw that they had some $10 and under plates and so we split one of their cheesesteaks with fries. I saw their garlic knots on this play and they looked like mini croissants. I had to try one! the service wasn't very friendly, I don't think I've ever been to a local pizzeria that didn't greet you or say goodbye to you when you left. Especially when the place isn't super busy. Besides that, prices were reasonable, the food was really good, and we enjoyed getting off the path for a little bit to hit this spot. The only complaint was that the fries were super salty, a little overboard but the cheesesteak was great, filled to the brim with delicious ingredients. This may have been the best Garlic Knot I've ever had! It was so flaky and moist, with just the right amount of garlic in it. This place is neck-and-neck with another spot in Clark. Never a bad meal! Tonight ordered their garlic parm wings for the first time and they definitely be a staple now when we order. Fernando, owner & cook is fabulous! Very kind person, great personality and so nice to deal with when placing our order. The large stromboli can feed 4 hungry people and the pizza with a thin crust is one of the best I have tasted! He has many dinner items for $8 amd you cannot go wrong with anything you want to try here..Oh and on Tuesday and Wednesday's, Fernando features a few Mexican dishes as well...also delicious! Honestly this place looks like a run down hole in the wall. The interior looks like someone was renovating and just stopped or changed their mind. We'd never been there before so we were blown away when we got our slices! They were amazing! The place was packed for an early Saturday night so obviously we aren't the only ones who think so. Adding it to our favorite pizza places list and we will definitely be back! Can I just say that hands down the best Italian food, good pizza, whatever you want to call the cuisine. But it was absolutely delicious!
