We stopped by this local pizza spot recently and had a pretty good overall experience. The pizza itself was flavorful, fresh, and cooked just right. The crust had a nice texture, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere had that comfortable, neighborhood feel you want from a local place. The only downside for us was the fried pickles -- they came out pretty soggy instead of crispy, which was a little disappointing. If they had a better crunch, they would've been great. Overall, it's still a solid local pizza option, and we'd definitely come back for the pizza -- just might skip the pickles next time. read more

Honestly if I could I would leave no stars at all. We came in an hour and a half before closing and the first thing that was said is yall have to be quick our kitchen closes in 30 minutes... excuse me why am I being rushed to order and eat with an hour left of the store closing. Our waiter was rude demanding and insisting on us leaving before 9 pm. Our pizza had no sauce and an abundance of cheese to the point it was inedible without choking. My pasta looked like it had been sitting for hours before being served. Definitely won't be coming back to this location again. read more

I came visiting from Florida and am already looking forward to our next visit. Such a cool concept! One side is a delicious Mexican restaurant and the other side is a pizza restaurant. In the middle of the two is an amazing indoor playground you can watch your kids while enjoying your meal. At Pizzaiolo's we came for the buffet. I was blown away by the options. They have a nice salad bar with all different types of toppings. I loved the pickled cauliflower. They have minestrone soup, chicken Alfredo, pizza slices in various styles, garlic bread, ravioli, and calzones. I love that they offer hot marinara cups on the buffet too. For desert they feature cannolis and fried cinnamon squares. I loved everything. The food is very fresh with a nice presentation. Service here is very friendly and welcoming. They keep the buffet nice and clean and stocked with fresh food. My only complaint is they don't clear the tables off as you eat. It's a buffet so you can imagine the plates get out of hand. Went on a Sunday evening and it was not busy at all so we got seated quickly and food came out quickly. Service was to the point but not very friendly which really didn't bother me since the food was so quick. It was nice to see a good size indoor playground in the center of this plaza that is shared with the Mexican restaurant but it is, unfortunately, not very well maintained. So, on to the important part- the food. We were given complimentary bread sticks with marinara sauce for starters which had our expectation of the pizza and calzones way too high. Those bread sticks were AMAZING! They tasted fresh, wood fired and fluffy with a crispy outside. Marinara dipping sauce complimented the breadsticks perfectly but the cheese pizza and pepperoni calzone were so disappointing. The cheese was so thick it made the whole pizza heavy and full of oil. This also made the crust very soggy and it had no crunch. Not even the edges. The calzone was cold in the center but burnt on the outside. Perhaps the cook had a bad day possibly but if they just used the same method they use with the breadsticks anything with bread will taste awesome. I'd give them another shot and try the buffet to see what all they offer. read more

8.4.24 This is the first time we have visited the Tomball location. We normally go to the Magnolia location. So I am going to compare the 2 locations. They are both owned by the same people so they are both the same...well almost. They both have a Lunch buffet - pizza, soup, salad bar, pasta and dessert everyday. The hours are 11-2pm for the buffet. Decor- The Magnolia location (I think, is the original, but not positive) It is older inside and could use some remodeling. It's time. The Tomball(2920) location is brand new. Nicely decorated, new tables, new everything etc... Tomball wins on this one. Pizza- The pizza at the Tomball is a little better than Magnolia. Not that Magnolia is bad, Tomball had a little more ingredients on them. Wish they both would make more Alfredo type pizzas on the buffet. And thin crust pizzas. (I cannot eat red sauce pizzas) Winner on pizza- tie. Salad Bar- After they restocked the salad bar at Tomball they are both the same. Except Magnolia has better ranch dressing. Tomball's is way too runny. They thinned it out way too much. Winner on salad bar-tie Pasta- Now onto the pasta, Magnolia wins on this one. The flavors are better. Tomball was a little bland today. Winner- Magnolia Soup- Magnolia wins No soup bowls at Tomball. Dessert time: The desserts at both locations need some work. The only dessert on the buffet at Tomball was...I don't even know what these were. Maybe pizza dough rolled in cinnamon; BUT they were as hard as a crouton. That was a NO for me. Sadly. Magnolia has cannoli's and they use to have bite size cheesecake. But they have not had that the last few time we have been there. (We miss those!) The cannolis are just...ok. The outside of the cannoli is a little hard. Winner on dessert- neither one. The Tomball location also had fried ravioli, and calzone on the buffet. The ravioli was...ok. I could not eat the calzone but my hubby said it was "a lot" of flavors inside, almost too much going on. All and all the 2 locations we have been to are very similar. We will plan on trying the Tomball location again and showing up a little earlier than 1pm. Hopefully the salad bar will be better stocked, more pizza selections and less dirty tables. (Maybe even better desserts) We will also go back to the Magnolia location. Oh, must mention this: They share the rest rooms with the Mexican restaurant next door. 3 stalls in the ladies rest room for 2 restaurants is a HUGE NO! And one being a diaper changing station. I had to wait in line twice. I gave up the first time because 1 sweet mom had 3 children going to the RR at one time and one stall was "gross". Better planning needed at your next location for sure. Especially when you have alcohol being served at both restaurants. Stars= Minus 1 star for overall experience (small pizza selection, hard dessert, dirty tables, salad bar empty, no soup bowls) Minus 1 star for rest room issue. read more

This new restaurant attached to Las Fuentas is beautiful on the inside and watched to a inside kids playground. Adds a lot to the value of the restaurant and is really unique, I came in around lunch time to work and have a bite. The service was pretty good the waiter was attentive and made a great marg. The wings weren't sauced very well and could've been layered a lot better, the fried pickles were pretty soggy. I prefer them crispy, but the flavor was tasty. The margarita was delicious and very reasonably priced for their happy hour special. Not sure I would eat here again if it wasn't for the cost effective drinks, but I may consider giving their pizza a try. read more

DINNER WITH HUBBY AND BABY GIRL Since we had been promising our little baby girl pizza, hubby decided to take us out to dinner at this establishment. This was our first time trying this place out and we absolutely loved it! We could not find any fault in the service or the food. Upon entering the building, we were greeted by the host in a friendly and pleasant manner. He told us to have a seat wherever we would like and that someone would be over to serve us. After we found a nice clean booth, I overheard him tell another worker, who turned out to be the manager, that we were a party of three. The manager whose name is Eddie came over and greeted us by welcoming us with such a friendly and joyful attitude. We felt comfortable right away. He was very professional and displayed great customer service skills. He took our drink orders immediately, and brought us a basket of complimentary bread which was absolutely delicious possessing a rich buttery and garlic palate. It was even more delicious when dipped in the marinara sauce that was provided with it. The sauce was so fresh and flavorful instead of old and stale tasting, and it tasted like authentic homemade marinara. Furthermore, the dining room is medium size. The tables, chairs, and floors were clean which is an A+ in my book. There were TV monitors mounted on the walls all displaying different shows. Our little baby girl recognized the playground that was available as we were taking our seat. It was full of other children running and playing, having an energetic and fun time, lol. She wanted to skip her meal and go right into playing but we told her that she had to eat first. I think it's really cool that they have a playground for the little people. How cool is that?!!! The ambience is a positive vibe with a feeling of home. There were overhead speakers playing a plethora of 80's tunes from Billy Joel's "Uptown Girl", "Karma Chameleon" by Culture Club, to "Don't You Forget About Me" by Simple Minds, and more! I was really digging the vibes and enjoying those tunes, especially since the 80's is my era. Moreover, for our food, we ordered fried ravioli for our appetizer which was down right and utterly fried to perfection and absolutely delectable! For our entrees hubby ordered a medium size build-your-own pizza for him and babygirl, half cheese and half beef. It was served fresh and piping hot with loads of cheese! They both enjoyed it and hubby said that it was one of the best cheese pulls that he's ever experienced, lol. For my entree, I ordered a small garden salad with grilled chicken. Guys when I tell you that my salad was full of fresh green garden vegetables and not withered old lettuce and dried out cucumbers, I mean just that! It was delicious and filled with grilled chicken. I appreciate how generous they were with the pieces of chicken, because some places are so darn stingy and will give you five small pieces of cubed chicken with a heap of lettuce, lol. But this was not the case at all here. The ratio of chicken to salad conquered the salad in the end and I was left with lots of delicious chicken chunks in my bowl that I slowly devoured and enjoyed. Oh, and for my dressing, I chose the Greek vinaigrette which was also yummy. Overall, Pizzaiolo's is a family-oriented establishment that's great for families and friends to visit and enjoy authentic-tasting Italian cuisine. Customer service is excellent. I appreciate the warm hospitality, professionalism, and welcoming spirit that Eddie rendered during our visit. He knows how to treat his guests with respect and knows how to make them feel comfortable. The overall presentation of the dining room passed my inspection test due to cleanliness. I did not see any dirty tables or chairs, and the floors were free of food crumbs. I despise sitting at a table and feeling food crumbs underneath my shoes while dining. That's so annoying. Last but not least, the food is amazing with reasonable prices. Everything that we ordered was delicious and served piping hot. We could not find any fault in the establishment. However, I read other reviews and found that they had disappointing experiences with this place which I find hard to believe based on my dining experience. Maybe my family and I visited on a good day. With that being said, I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Italian food, but try it out at your own risk. Parking is plentiful and is a shared parking lot with other businesses in a small shopping strip. They also have a small bar area at this restaurant and I believe they are affiliated with the restaurant that's next door to them, Las Fuentes Mexican Restaurant. I noticed that the drinks menu was a Las Fuentes menu which leads me to believe that they are affiliated. My family and I will definitely be back to patronize this establishment and maybe we'll get a chance to see what their other restaurant, Las Fuentes, is all about in the near future. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with this place, and I keep going back. It's way more than Pizza. They have some Italian dishes that are up there with some of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. Last night I had pasta Dimore. Lots of clams, muscles and shrimp on top of spaghetti (I actually ordered penne pasta, but they gave me spaghetti, but OK I forgive them). It was so good. They also have lots of fancy pizzas and of course all the usual build your own pizzas too... All fantastic. If you get a chance, give this a try. You won't be sorry. read more

Pizzaiolo's is new and has a beautiful interior. There is a nice buffet with salad, soup, pizza and pasta 11-2 weekdays and until 2:30 on weekends. There is a huge indoor playground connecting it with the sister restaurant Las Fuentes. Service was excellent and the food was fresh and tasty. We will be back! read more

I hate to leave a bad review for any restaurant but this just has to be the worst food I have ever experienced. The concept with the indoor play area is a good one, if only the food was edible. Specifically, the lasagna - sour and just terrible. Not edible at all. The chicken alfredo, awful. Doesn't taste like real food in any way at all and does not resemble anything Italian whatsoever. I am not sure what ingredients they use here, but please understand that it must be the absolute cheapest they could find. Garlic bread - nope! Awful. The bread offered for the table is probably pizza crust "bullets" soaked in butter and garlic. Not one good thing to mention other than the friendly waitstaff. read more

Barely any food out, salad bar was scary, lettuce was really wilted, a/c was out, pasta dish was dry and no cannoli's because they ran out of the cream to make them and had to order more. It cost 16.22 and I left a buffet hungry. Won't go back. Disappointing! Update: waitress told us that we came at the end of the buffet time. I really wanted to love this place as it is so convenient to our house. We walked in and it was super hot and muggy in there. The menu's were coated with grease and finger prints. We had a waiter with a blonde pony tail who was wearing dollar bills all over him. He was super inattentive, never refilled our drinks once or took dirty plates out of the way so we barely had room for our dinner plates. By the time we were done eating, we had appetizer plates, dinner plates, and dessert plates all stacked up and no where to sign the ticket it was such a mess. Now for the food, we got a bbq pizza which is typically my favorite other places and it was super disappointing. We got the salad bar which looked sort of questionable. Someone at our table got lasagna, he said that was good. I was up all night last night sick to my stomach after eating there. Haven't yet checked with the other diners to see if they experienced the same. Also, I had been to Las Fuentes next door (which I love!) for the playground a few months ago. Since then, the playground seems to have deteriorated. It's hard to breathe in there because there is so much dust from the blue back floor. I could feel it all in my eyes and lungs. When we got home my kids were all blowing blackish blue dust out of their noses. Felt super gross. All in all, I wouldn't recommend. It's not somewhere I have any desire to go back. I tried placing a delivery order with this location but the staff made me repeat my address 5 seperate times whilst putting me on hold every time. I live 1 mile away from them! On top of that, they called me back and the manager blamed "phone issues" for why they couldn't understand me. I could hear them clear as day, talking and laughing in the background the whole time during the conversation and while I was on hold. This was our first time eating at Pizzaiolo's. The wait staff was great. We had a big group of 11. We ordered cheese garlic bread, one large Supreme hand tossed pizza, one large hand tossed cheese pizza, one medium hand tossed pepperoni pizza, and one small gluten free pizza. Food is good, service is terrible. Our waitress seemed put off to wait our table from the beginning. We had a party of 6- of the group I ordered a salad with no cheese (allergy) and my mom ordered the tortellini with a side salad. My salad arrived with cheese on it, the waitress took it back to the kitchen and came back with a salad that had less cheese on it but the toppings had clearly been switched to the new salad and had cheese on them. My mom received her salad and the rest of our party received their meals but my mom's tortellini never arrived. When we asked about it she said it was coming... after our whole group had finished their meal hers had still not arrived so we asked for it to go and to be taken of the check due to the error on their part. The waitress came back and said her manager won't remove it, only give a discount. Overall the service was very lacking in both quality and enthusiasm. A friend and I brought our kids for the buffet and play ground.My first time going and it was so perfect for the kids to play and take a bite as they run by.Their food was hot and fresh.
