Every single meal was delicious, and the portions are huge! To get 14 meals on the table at the same time piping hot took a lot. Everyone took half their meal home. So many options for everyone in our party. But the best part was the service!!! Rosie and the team were so friendly (we are on a first-name basis by the end of our meal)! #COVID19 review: A pizza SO GOOD it makes you wonder why you can't eat it everyday! The tie dye pizza has to be one of my all time favorites and hands down one that I crave every weekend. For those interested in their curbside pickup process, you do have to go inside and pick up the food/pay. We ended up ordering buffalo wings, a roasted chicken and cheese empanada, and a cheese pizza. The cheese pizza was your standard pizza and it was bland, nothing to really rave about. But the buffalo wings were really good and so was the empanada. Would definitely go back for those too. But I wouldn't order the cheese pizza again, maybe I'll try the tie dye pizza next time. read more

Fine by me. The rice balls were great, but I also don't know much about rice balls. Beef, rice and peas. The marinara was good. Not overly sweet or watery. Beef empanada was very good too! A little salty but that works for deep fried dough lol. Meatball wasn't my favorite, maybe it had too many breadcrumbs or something. Flavor was off the mark for me. I have a pretty high standard for meatballs though. Tie dye pie is my favorite, even though it's kinda messy, I love it. The crust is good, just chewy enough and thin enough without it falling apart. If you want to know what LOVE is, eat here. They have a pretty extensive vegan and regular set of options on the menu. The pizza was PHENOMENAL, the mozzarella sticks were cool, and the guava cream cheese was good. Out of everything I would definitely go back for the pizza. Pizzanada is an unreal pizzeria. It's the only pizzeria I've encountered where the vegan options match the quality of the non vegan food. The service provided by Rose was top notch. She was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu options, and welcoming. We've also regularly ordered take out from pizzanada for the past two years and they never disappoint. The one thing that makes this place stand out from any other empanada places I've been -- these are STUFFED. Like, to the max. I love that, I hate when empanadas have empty corners or too much dough. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is I think it's a tad pricey -- empanadas are $5 each, which, again, these are stuffed, but they're still just standard size, so that was definitely more than I've paid in the past at other places. I was also shocked when I grabbed a piece of gluten free cake from the case on the way out to take home, and it was $10! I understand inflation is a thing now and gluten free ingredients are a little more expensive than standard ingredients, but, come on...not $10-worth for one cake slice. The idea of the mac stuffed empanada was better than the execution (could have been cheesier, maybe a little too much nutmeg?), but the rest of the bunch were flavorful, hot and delicious. We hear the vodka sauce/tie dye pizza is sublime, but me opted for a pepperoni this time around. Nice chewy crust, good ratio of sauce to cheese. But I think it is very unfair and disgusting that everywhere online the hours say it closes at 9 weekdays and on the weekends 10. Drive fast as hell to order my pizza after work and get there at 8:40 and the staff won't make my pizza and tell me it is closed. As someone who grew up in New Jersey, take out Italian food is just so nostalgic for me. So when I found out that near my grandparents house is an Italian restaurant with plentiful vegan options i was sold! Pizzanada did not disappoint. My wife and I got the penne vodka, lasagna, grandma pizza and vegan cannoli. Everything was not only delicious, but unbelievably delicious! I was brought back to being a kid late on a Friday night eating penne vodka and watching Golden Girls. Probably cuz that's what I'm literally doing right now lol! We also had a little bit of a confusing moment there where the name that was on our ticket was not the name that I go by. Just a classic email/ name mixup. It got kind of stressful for a second, but they handled it with a lot of grace and poise and patience and were super friendly about everything. They even checked to make sure everything was vegan! I'm a bit late on this, but I feel like the owner should know what happened. I ordered online through Slice on Christmas Eve and I spent a little over $60. When I arrived to pick up my order, it was never prepared. I stood inside for ONE HOUR waiting. On top of that, they didn't have any vegan gyro meat left. They didn't have sweet potato fries left. And there were no more brownies. All of which I originally ordered. I get that it was Christmas Eve, but the woman behind the counter kept telling me it was almost ready. The truth was, it was never made and they kept doing other orders instead. On a side note: I'm very supportive of this business, especially because they offer many vegan options. I spend a lot of money here. But how come there are certain days when the prices fluctuate? The vegan chicken cutlet dinner is $21 one day and $26 the next. Why? We tried Pizzanada for the first time today and thoroughly enjoyed every bite of our food! The Tie Dye Pizza was delicious, with our favorite type of crust- the kind that gently folds. We were also pleasantly surprised by the complete lack of dripping oil on any of the slices. Additionally, the Cannoli Empanada provided a perfectly sweet treat indulgence. I'm posting this review after calling the owners, Joe and Christina to personally thank them for the incredible meal. I have been sadly dealing with the post Covid foodie torture of not being able to taste much for months. Tonight I was just hungry and tired of canned soup and said I have to order real food. I called and Joe answered the phone. l explained my situation with my taste buds and he just understood and suggested a spicy fra diavolo sauce on the pasta of the family meal. I tasted garlic and felt the heat! The Chicken Parm was perfectly cooked. Even the salad with its salty olives and spicy veggie mix was a taste and texture delight. 9/16/2020 Update: According to my wife they took over an hour for the 2 pizzas we ordered, I could have gotten pizza from Little Italy in Manhattan, and be back in Bloomfield at that point. They wouldn't even tell me how much longer I needed to wait while I was there. Oh yeah and employees were not wearing masks, the kids running around the kitchen were not wearing masks. I get it masks are not ideal, but they really need to wear masks when they are breathing over the food they are preparing for people. It gets worse, looks like one of the pizzas was made on time and the other one at the last minute. So now we have 1 whole soggy sorry ass pizza. Really not coming back to this place. This local spot was such an exciting "hidden gem" find right near my apartment! They took all the classic Italian and American dishes and Veganized them with a complete vegan menu! Our waitress was so kind and generous and gave amazing recommendations on what to try. This place is a pizza-loving Vegan's DREAM! They have vegan Mozzarella, Feta, all the vegan meats and more. I've never felt so included in a meal experience than I did here. No trying to piece together a meal, only ordering sides, or eating lettuce with no protein source. Pizzanada is such a great addition to this area! I've ordered take out a few times now and have tried a bunch of things including the tie dye pie, a regular plain slice of pizza and empanadas like the cheesesteak, buffalo chicken, beef and cheese, Mac and cheese, the Cuban and a cannoli one. I can honestly say I've loved everything that I've tried. All of the empanadas are filled nicely and are flavorful, the sauce on the tie dye pie is so good and the cannoli empanada is 100% my new favorite dessert! It tastes like an amazing mix of a funnel cake and a cannoli in the best way possible. I wish I had more pictures but I always forget because I start eating right away! The manager said I could get a refund but I have to contact GrubHub and there's currently over 1500 people waiting to speak to customer service. Really good pizza here, the dough and cheese are a bit lighter if you are looking for a slice that isn't grease dripping. Picked up tie-dye pies the few times I've gone, aldo the empanadas: Amazing. It's a bit on the pricier side but but still reasonable. The only downside I can say is that the pizza doesn't reheat very well, so make sure you eat it all, which shouldn't be a problem. Edit: I had to take this down a star because of the cheese steak. Way over priced and place is starting to substitute subpar ingredients. read more

After reading all the great reviews I decided to give Pizzanada a try. I'm vegan and was excited to see the many options they had. I got a non-vegan pizza for my son and a vegan pizza me. My son liked his pizza. I did not like my pizza. There was too much vegan cheese that was too thick and creamy. Didn't like the cheese at all. I tried an empanada and to my delight was good--kale and chickpea, no cheese. I also tried a desert and it was OK. The prices are pretty high. Two pizzas, an empanada and a desert came to about $60. I don't mind paying high prices if the food is great, but the food was not great to me. Service was good--the staff was friendly and kind. Overall, the food just didn't meet my expectations. Maybe I'll give it another try and try the other food options. We'll see. read more

Pizza was very underwhelming. Not even a good baseline pizza. How can a pizza that they claim is fresh, be as dry as it is? Now we get to the empanadas which they claim are made fresh, whether or not that's the truth, remains a mystery. I ordered 5 of their signature empanada flavors (Cuban, pizza, burger, chicken, and Nutella cheesecake) and have been met with disappointment from each. Chicken and burger ones were super dry, Cuban was ok but that boiled down to the mustard and ham. Pizza one was alright and the Nutella cheesecake was basically filled with just Nutella and barely and cheesecake. Oh, I also ordered a chicken parm hero and the chicken was dry and the sauce tasted like it came from a can. My only quibble is the front counter staff kept pulling their masks up and down and some were under the nose. This made me uncomfortable.
