Got Efi's to go and it was some of the best Greek food I've ever had. The gyro was delicious and super flavorful. The French fries were cooked to the perfect crisp and packed full of flavor. If you're in the mood for great Greek or Mediterranean food you've GOT to try Efi's!

Generous portions and delicious gyros! Super fresh and flavorful. We were thoroughly impressed and satisfied! Service was quick and they brought our meal out to us. Outdoor seating was available, so we were able to enjoy our meal with enough space and have our dog sat at our feet.

We always visit Efi's when we want Greek food close to the originals you get in Greece. Efi's never disappoints and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend their pork stick. The sauce they drizzle on top is to die for!

Stopped by for a casual dinner and was pleasantly surprised. I love Greek food but typically don't eat at more casual places. My fiancé and I ordered the chicken platter and it came with a good portion of food. The only downside is I prefer tender chunks of grilled (souvlaki) and this wasn't served souvlaki style. The salad was very fresh, the fries perfectly crispy, and the pita fluffy and warm. The tzatziki and efi sauce were both great! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and look forward to returning in the near future!

Cute and clean place with friendly service. Popped in for a chicken gyro which comes with tomato, red onion and crunchy fries. I added feta cheese on mine too. It was tasty but struggled to find any actual pieces of chicken and not just thin skin shavings of chicken. It was a little dry so got some more sauce. Not much tomato or red onion either. I've had gyros that were better so that's what I'm comparing it to. Had a bottle of sour cherry drink too. Yup, it's definitely sour. Overall, it's a nice place to go for a quick bite.

A solid fast causal spot, close to the Wellmont. We went here before a show to grab a quick bite, and I can say this place is great. We both started with rice bowls with lamb, and a Greek salad. The rice was fluffy and seasoned, the lamb was not overcooked, and the Feta tzatziki the bomb. The star of the show was the Efi's loaded fries!!!! Fries were crispy, the shaved pork was tender and the honey mustard greek sauce was sooo good. I will be back !

My favorite spot to grab a chicken gyro in Montclair. I love that fries are stuffed in this gyro. I always ask for tazeki sauce as it doesn't come with it. I enjoy trying their authentic Greek sodas as well. The owner Efi is always so kind.

The pandemic changed a lot of things. The way that I work changed. I usually skip lunch, or I eat at my desk while I'm working now. I don't see that habit changing any time soon. At this rate w/ inflation and some companies having to layoff folks... I'm thankful to have a job. Anyway. I was in New Jersey for work and stayed at a hotel about a block away from this place. I was flabbergasted because of the humidity, the fact that I woke up at 5AM EST to workout made my hunger pangs grew worse. I didn't eat anything all day and was looking forward to some solo dining. The one thing I love about traveling for work is that I get to enjoy a meal by myself. I don't get alone time. I ordered their grilled lamb platter, a diet soda, and a Spanakopita. I was expecting small squares or triangles, but it was fun eating a big slice. The lamb was so tender and flavorful. Like I wish the platter came w/ more! It's a deconstructed gyro. The fries were well seasoned. The tzatziki sauce was creamy and cooling. I don't like East coast summer. The meal was a perfect ending to my exhausting day. Service was wonderful.

    Chicken bowl

I decided to give Efi's Gyro another try to explore more of their menu. Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to my expectations. The flavors weren't as good as before, and the portions felt noticeably smaller. I left feeling disappointed and am unsure if I'll be back. Soggy pita, flavorless and mushy vegetables in the salad. Great fast casual place. Ended up here after a changed plan and we loved it. The place is busy with take out orders and they have a couple of tables to enjoy the food there. We got the lamb bowl, chicken bowl and a kids crispy chicken plate. The chicken and lamb bowls were delicious.Huge portions. The salad and the yogurt dip thay comes with are very tasty. The pita is perfect. The kids chicken plate was amazing as well.Loved the fries crispy and the seasoning was yum. Stop if you are in the area looking for some greek food.

chicken skin instead of actual Chicken Bowl

I ordered via uber eats for a group at work and i asked for a chicken rice platter - extra chicken w extra tzatziki sauce. what i got was a bowl of chicken skin & they ensured to fill the bowl w all chicken skin ONLY. I did call to advise but bc i work until 1030pm i am not going to be able to drive to have the food replaced. i am not pleased w the food and whoever prepped the food should be ashamed/ the food smelled horrible because it was chicken skin only - then the tzatziki sauce was spoiled. UPSET about not getting good food the first time! I should not have to travel for a replacement

The pan seared calamari was naked which is more healthy than fried! The miso aioli made the big difference with the squid! It was different and delicious. The squid was tender and not chewy! For dinner I ordered the beef shish kebab. It came with two kebab. The beef tasted delicious with the Turkish style marinade. I think it would have been more worth if they added another kebab stick. The pistachio rice was good. It was a different taste with nice almonds slices. The only negative were the kebabs and rice were cold like the onion salad. And I loved the onion salad. We also ordered the salmon artichoke. The pan seared salmon was over cooked. They should have seared it in a shorter time. And it lacked seasoning believe it or not! The artichoke Brussels were a little on the burnt side. The spicy tomato sauce tasted more like ketchup. We will not be ordering this in the future. We also ordered a side of fries and Tahini brussels. The fries weee very tasty and I savored every piece. The Brussels were tasty as well. For dessert, we ordered rice pudding and baklavas. Both weee very good.

Who knew I was going to experience some of the best Greek food and Sangria of my life! First off... there is a parking lot, so don't worry about parking. Secondly the service was phenomenal. And... they give you these soft pita slices drizzled with warm olive oil and seasoning, that they keep refilling throughout your dining experience. The restaurant itself has cozy vibes, and I believe they have some kind of outdoor seating, but we went on a rainy Thursday night so don't quote me on that one. Now let's get into the sangria... we got a 1/2 pitcher of their white peach mango sangria... it was way bigger than we expected and hands down the best sangria I EVER had. Finally the main star... the food. We were starving and it was already 8pm so we skipped the appetizers and went straight to the entree's. I order from the small plates section and it was not small. I had the grilled chicken with the most delicious butter rice and salad. My friend ordered their beef & lamb gyro wrapped in a pita with their hand cut fries. We were blown away. I had no idea this unsuspecting restaurant would pack such a punch. My chicken was so juicy. The kind of juicy that you try to make yourself and it never happens. And my friends gyro was comparable to the one she had in Greece. The prices are right and the food and service are even better. Go check them out, thank me later.

It was a big fish, enough for us to share. Grilled well, moist and with tasty sauce which didn't overwhelm. Lemon potato was a hit. Next time I would go for Greek salad instead of house. All in all, not a bad meal for about 83 for two. BYOB was a good thing for us.

We had a large group, and they seated us at 2 separate and crowded tables in the side room, which was less than ideal (with a reservation). It also got really hot because the room was packed. They were pushing us to order everything family style, but everyone wanted to order individually. The two of us weren't super hungry, and asked for our entrees to be on a separate check before ordering, which they would not do. Since I knew we were going to end up splitting the check with the one table, I ended up getting a more expensive entree to make up for the apps and drinks we weren't having (I already had a drink from the bar and my husband doesn't drink). I settled on the special lobster carbonara (which I think was $75). Good, but overpriced. My husband had the filet mignon - it was cooked as requested but we prefer more seasoning. A friend passed her grilled scallops over to us to finish - I took one bite and it tasted like ammonia. I discreetly spat it out. For her sake, I hope the rest didn't taste like that. The atmosphere was loud and hard to have conversations. They did a conga line around the restaurant later in the evening. Not really my scene. Service was slow and it didn't seem like they could handle big groups, even when split up. We ended up staying here for about 3 hours. We ended up leaving before we were even offered dessert. Its English name comes from a Greek legend: Zeus had an affair with a beautiful woman named Io. When Hera, his wife, discovered his infidelity, she turned Io into a cow and created a horsefly to sting her on the rump. Io jumped clear across the strait. Thus, "bous" = "cow" and "poros" = "crossing place": Bosphorus = "crossing place of the cow." Located off of busy Franklin Avenue in Nutley, my partner, our friends, and I have decided on our dinner at this family-owned-and-run BYOB establishment, which has been open since 1995. A reservation was made for a party of 4 by calling their restaurant. Upon arrival after three years, we were welcomed by Nora, the owner, and made our way to a table by the piano inside, evoking a cozy, thoughtfully designed, upscale vibe with music playing softly. Their menu features Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine. For starters, we decided on the Puffed Rill Pastry and Grape Leaves. Our main meal consisted of all lamb dishes (Lamb Shish Kebab, Beyti Kebab, Lamb Chops, and Lamb Sauté). Our food was fresh, well seasoned, and cooked to perfection, accompanied by a beautifully presented dish. Everything was authentically made with love here. Wish we could have stayed for dessert, as they looked amazing, but some of us were in a rush. It's definitely on the higher end cost but worth the taste. Our visit ended with a hug and a piece of candy.
