Wow was it a shock walking into this place. A barnyard. The tables are the troughs. Great place for milking the beer. My favorite was the sign above the draft beer: "Ye Olde Fountain of Youth" Oh yeah....I drink from this fountain often... My second favorite sign was: "Silence is Golden, please turn off your phone" Um, I doubt I could even hear my phone in this loud a** place. I wondered if it was the huge open area that carried everyone's conversation so well....or was everyone just drunk and screaming over their neighbor? Either way, it was great. Third favorite sign: ~"Keep Pizzaville Green, Bring money" The trough behind me had about 5 pitchers on it (for 7 bucks a pitcher...awesome). This discovery led me to believe that people were drunk!?! ...and that I am so freakin' perceptive. The pizza was decent, and I am a hard grader on pizza....so props up for that. read more

If you like thin, cracker like crust, this is your place. This place is one of my favorites for pizza with the family. We usually order a pepperoni, mushroom, and jalepeno pizza. The pepperoni is spicy and usually crunchy on the edges, the mushrooms are canned, its crazy but i like them better than fresh mushrooms for some reason, and the jalepenos are hot. I reccomend eating the pizza there as during the delivery process the pizza loses some of its crunchyness and i think they have the coldest beer on tap in town read more

Lemme just start out by saying that Pizzaville USA is VERY popular among Bakersfield residents and those of us that had never been there are judged harshly and unfairly for our mistake! Recently I had 5 different people ask me if I had been to Pizzaville USA because I love pizza so much. Whenever I had said "No" I heard shock and disgust from these five different people. They all also told me about the Wednesday night special at Pizzaville USA: One 2-Topping Pizza, Chicken and Wedges for $20 which is the reason I rushed to Pizzaville USA cause that is an amazing price!! These days getting one pizza for $20 is a deal! The pizza was very good. The toppings were a little scarce but I did feel like for the price it was very much worth it. The wedges were so damn good! (The chicken smelled good and everyone with me said it was great but I didn't have it.) Pizzaville USA is majorly old school but I like that about it. Pizzaville USA feels like a Bakersfield staple so it made sense to me why so many people were shocked I hadn't even heard of Pizzaville USA. I plan to go back to Pizzaville USA but probably just on Wednesdays. read more

I'm an East Coast transplant living in San Francisco, but my wife is from Bakersfield and we visit frequently. Pizzaville is the one place that she insists on visiting EVERY TIME we're in town. I've read a few complaints on here from people like David A R who completely miss the point. Pizzaville pizza is its own unique thing and isn't trying to be NYC-style. The cracker-like crust that they have is unlike any other pizzeria I've been to and its what my wife's dreams are made of. I don't hold Pizzaville in QUITE the same regard as the wife, but I will say that I always look forward to grabbing a sausage pizza and some chicken and wedges when we're in Bako. If you're looking for New York thin crust, you shouldn't be here in the first place. read more

This place is a time warp back to the best part of my childhood! If you grew up in the late 80's early 90's this place serves up not only great slices of pizza, but nostalgia as well. The interior is wood paneled, there are funny signs on the wall, the tables are picnic style and communal, flat screens everywhere, and an arcade! Pizzaville sets the mood back to a simpler time, for me anyway. Their pizza's are delicious, thin and crispy crust with cornmeal on the bottom, tangy, not too sweet sauce, and 6 cheeses! I drive 30 miles one way just to get this pizza, it's that good! The staff are always welcoming and friendly and the restaurant is always spotless. The employees take all necessary precautions in the times of Covid too: masks, gloves, and cleaning every surface between customers. I can't wait to go back and have a great dine in experience, watching the game and enjoying hot, delicious pizza and cold beer. read more

We have been to Pizzaville several times in the past and enjoyed their service and food. our favorite is their sauce on their pizza. however this time was a different experience, The sauce was a great as ever however we ordered two large pizzas 1 with pepperoni & sausage and the other with double sausage. when we got our order about 25 minutes later (acceptable time) I noticed the one with only sausage had only sparse amounts of sausage, some slices only having 1 or 2 nuggets of sausage. when i asked the counter guy (who made the pizza himself) about this he said it was double Sausage. not very happy about this at all. as a bonus on at least half of the pizza the cheese only went half way up the the crust. This was a special we ordered and came with chicken and wedges the we didn't get until after we finished our pizza and remembered about the chicken and wedges. When I returned to the counter and asked about this we got right away. This hasn't happened before so i will most likely be back. however really not impressed with the level of customer service their on Wednesday Night at around 8:30pm Our order # was 127 is case anyone from Pizzaville wants to check in on this. read more

This place is a joke! I was hoping to order 6 large pizzas to feed students at a local elementary school. They were going to charge me $20.25 for each pizza!!! RIDICULOUS. This pizza place is very average to me. Not the best pizza, honestly but they have a lot of topping options as well as chicken, wedges, salads, and fried zucchini. Their salads do seem very fresh and the zucchini is tasty. Pizza, wedges, and chicken are all average. The space is great though. It is a very old school type of location with tons and tons of tables, a separate room for parties and tons of TV's. There's also some arcade games for the kids to enjoy. We stopped at pizzaville for the first time last week, just a quick stop, during a long drive. We enjoyed it so much, we stopped again on the way back. Crispy crust, low prices, large variety of toppings and sides, $12 domestic pitchers, $14 premium pitchers. We spent less that $45 on lunch For 3, and beer for 2. We got here right after opening, and by 12:30, the place had filled up. We'll definitely be back again! read more

Great old style pizza parlor. Love the cracker crust. Try the hot wings! I visit other pizza joints in town but I always make my way back to Pizzaville. It's a Bakersfield staple. Great crowds. In the restroom they still have a Borax soap dispenser just like old times. Classic! If you're weak or looking for commercial surroundings go somewhere else and good riddance! Although the pizza is INSANELY expensive (20-26 bucks for a large pizza with two+ toppings), the good news is that the pizza is worth the price. The thin crust they use is unique. It is like cracker crust, but it is also soft and crunchy. The sauce is flavorful and the pepperoni and sausage also has amazing flavor compared to most chain pizza joints. I'm convinced that the people that hate this kind of pizza hold a preference for the normal generic crust that 90 percent of pizza places make. Pizzaville is far and away the most unique crust I've had in all my travels. A tip: Go on Mondays for the Monday Night Football Special. You can get a pizza and chicken and wedges for a significant discount. The chicken and wedges are average in the taste department, but with the Monday night discount deal they're worth it. One complaint I have is that the table seating is terribly uncomfortable. They use low to the ground bench seats. I know I am not the only person who loves the food, but rarely wants to eat in the restaurant because of the uncomfortable seating. It has the sports bar/arcade atmosphere of any other casual pizza joint. My recommendation to the owners is to update seating. I'd be willing to bet it would increase the chance that regulars like my family (who take the pizza home usually) will eat on site. That would increase sales of drinks, arcade games, etc. read more

Man, this place was crowded on a Wednesday night. Full of families and groups of friends. The Pizza is quite good, although slightly low on salt. Their crust is really great, and has a nice crunch to it. We also got the Potato Wedges. They said it would have 15-20 pieces, but it surely had more. They serve beer on draft, for just $1.50 for a glass, and $2.50 for a mug (Or something like that), which I guess is a great price. This pizza joint is close to my place and getting to be a favorite. My wife is gone a lot and this is one place I go to twist off. By that I mean getting off the diet, drinking a little beer. I like the fried chicken, it is very good. And the pizza is good too. I do always leave with pizza and bird for the next day. I like to get the meat pizza, pepperoni, sausage, canadian bacon. And like yelper Cyndi says, the fried chicken may be second to none. Some would say it's dated and they would be right. But it fills my need for pizza and chicken with an occasional beer. read more

Came here and ordered the lunch special and asked for a large drink per usual. Got my drink and asked for light ice and got a large cup full of ice worth very little soda. The guy at the drink counter then said it would be $2.75. I told him I had the lunch special and then said it was .75. I told him I paid already and asked for the large drink. As I walked away he asked the main cashier if I "prepaid" and he said no, so out loud the guy proceeds to yell that I owed him .75! It was embarrassing and extremely rude! I again told him I asked to be rang up for the large. Pretty sure the older gentleman making the pizzas was the owner and he did nothing as his customer was treated so poorly. I haven't been to Pizzaville in quite a few years but let me say it really used to be a great place! Today my family and I went and I'm just blown away at how bad it's gotten. First, the prices have gotten pretty insane while the quality has gone down. Second, customer service is just garbage...just a few late teens or early twenty-something dudes that have no courtesy, people skills, or tact. Last, they wanna charge close to $3.00 for a large soda and then nickel and dime you $0.75 for a refill...I'm really surprised they're even still handing out free Parmesan cheese and red pepper packets. I definitely won't be going back there anytime soon...super disappointed in the place and the owner's greed. read more
