Bad pizza. If you have a lot of children to feed, maybe a child's birthday party, I could see the novelty of getting the giant sized pizza, but it is some of the lowest quality pizza I've ever had. Flavorless dough/crust, cheap cheese and toppings. There aren't a ton of better options on the island, but, all the other options are better than this. Tolli's is more expensive, but if you're looking for authentic NY/New Haven pizza, it is worth paying more for. This is not it. read more

Oh my heavens if you are in the area you must try their pizza calzones and don forget the brownie! Fabulous staff wonderful food realistic prices you will not be disappointed!! I am so glad I found this place. The only downside is no delivery, but the pizza is unique and tastes amazing. The ingredients taste fresher than chain pizza places, and the staff is nice. The pizza slices are very gene. I ordered the cowboy pizza aka chicken bacon BBQ pizza and it was amazing. I added bacon. Try the "order by the slice" option. You can choose any pizza on a huge slice. Also, there is no sit-down and eating area. Only an area to wait for your order. read more

If you are looking for delicious pizza I highly recommend Johns Island (JI) Pizza. This place is located on Maybank Hwy in the plaza with Food Lion. They offer carry out or limited outdoor seating. They offer specialty pizzas or custom built pizzas in 14, 18 and 24 inch sizes or by the slice. They also offer grinders, calzones, salads and pastas. I ordered the 24" Tree hugger (veggie) Pizza. Y'all, this pizza was sooo big I couldn't fit it in the back seat of my car! Had to put it in the trunk. The slices are nice and big, similar to New York style pizza. The crust was thin and crispy. The sauce was so tasty and the veggies were fresh. JI pizza is very generous with sauce and the toppings. So delicious. The staff is super friendly and always get my order right. Paying for your pizza is super easy with a self checkout screen. Add your tip and print your receipt yourself. Makes it nice and easy and allowa the staff to continue preparing delicious food for other guests. While the food was exceptional, the price was very much a great value for the amount of pizza you get. $22 for a 24" cheese pizza. I visited JI Pizza today. Ordered the 24-inch pepperoni and cheese pizza. This pizza shop is only take out or delivery orders. The pizza was ready on time and hot when I picked it up. The pizza was so big it almost wouldn't fit in the front seat of my truck. The pizza was the thin crust style, and the slices were twice the size of your hand. My family declared JI Pizz the best on Johns Island. As far as the staff, they were very friendly and attentive from the moment I walked in the door. JI Pizza is the perfect "football pizza" and a 24" served so many people. For $22 I think that's hard to beat. They didn't skimp on pepperoni and crust was perfectly chewy and doughy. Pleasantly surprised, as many pizza places down here seem not to have any idea how to make good pizza. read more

JI Pizza makes some massive pies, they're perfect to feed a crowd. We've grabbed takeout from here a handful of times and have been happy each time. Most recently my husband and I each got a calzone, I went for straight cheese (I love a simple cheese calzone) and my husband added bacon, sausage and banana peppers to his. Both were tasty and we each had 2 meals out of our calzones. While they don't deliver, if you're willing to make the drive it certainly is worth a try. read more

I think the key here is to only ever order a 14" pizza. Nothing larger. Anything larger will be too thin, burned on the outside edges, and raw on the middle. I recently came back to JI Pizza for 14" orders. The spicy buddha was good but had less than a handful of chicken on the whole pizza. The pepperoni, sausage, and onion was better balanced. The brownie was fine but nothing fancy--much more like chocolate cake than fudge. read more

There are a few options when it comes to pizza on Johns Island, but by far the best one in my opinion is JI Pizza! They have a lot of great options if you're feeling different things, but their pizzas are so good! They're really big and always cooked to perfection. Been here quite a few times and it's always so consistent which is rare with pizza places. They get your food out pretty quick and staff seems really chill at the same time. JI pizza is literally a hole in the wall next to Food Lion, but don't be scared off by it's humble appearance, it has pretty solid pies! The staff is really kind and chatted with my while I waited for my TreeHugger (veggie) pie. I ordered the small, which was not small. It was 14" and enough for me and my fiancé to eat and have a couple slices leftover. The pizza itself was really good, not too greasy and, I mean this in a good way, comparable to a better version of Papa John's. My only complaint was that the tomatoes were kinda meh but I'll just order it without those in the future. I still haven't found true NY style/quality pizza on the island, and I may not, but I'm pretty happy with JI's! read more

My husband and I have picked up several pies from JI's. It's my favorite pizza on Johns Island so far. The size and amount of ingredients for the price is . The topping always taste fresh and their bread to toppings ration is on point. I'm from NYC and I like my pizza thin but not too thin, toasted bottom but with a nice bite. So far I've only had their supreme. I don't even have a picture to post because the pizza doesn't last very long. read more

Stopped by JI Pizza on the way home from work and ordered the 18" Tree Hugger with a side of "love". It's a great pizza and the love adds a nice touch. It's pretty big getting their medium size to share, leaving enough for breakfast pizza the next morning. The largest (24") you literally can't fit out the door without turning it up on it's side and could feed a bunch of hungry people. The wait was only 20 minutes which isn't bad at all. I've had hour+ waits here on a Friday evening which just tells you how good the pizza can be. read more

Definitely a little pricey for a hole in the wall pizza joint, but the portions are very large! The staff is friendly, but one of the main downsides of this restaurant is that they do not have enough dessert at times and they also close relatively early (9 PM) for a pizza place. I always find myself craving this pizza at least past 10 PM. A good option if you are looking for a by-the-slice pizza as it will be filling with just one. read more

The pizza is okay. Nothing special by any expectation. Being from jersey I am certainly have had better. But that is not my reasoning for this rating my reasoning is the staff. The wait was ridiculous I was waiting over an hour for a small pie. Im work things through dealing with the wait however the girl behind the counter has a serious attitude problem. She was rude and making comments under her breath the entire time. All this because I asked how much longer. I'm sorry but I do not think anyone should have the attitude towards your customers that way. When the pizza was finally ready she threw the box down. I really wanted to saw a whole bunch to this "little girl" but decided not to! This is not the first time I've seen her treat people the way she just did me! I will be boycotting this place and will be making sure everyone I know is aware of the HORRIBLE customer service. Go elsewhere! read more
