I wanted to try a new spot for lunch today and Chicago Pizza and Pasta fit that description. I briefly scanned the menu online and I decided I wanted to do the side salad and a slice of pizza for lunch, so off I went to the restaurant to order and pick up my food. Pro Tip: If you order your food online you can save 10% :) I arrive and there was already a few people in front of me ordering pizza slices for lunch. You get that sense that a spot is good when lunch time is already buzzing with people. It was my turn to get order my food and the nice lady greeted me and asked what I'd like for lunch. I told her I wanted a slice of sausage and a side salad. In all my years of eating and ordering pizza slices for lunch I was never given the option of choosing which slice I wanted. This was a pleasant surprise and awesome of CPP to allow me to choose my own slice that I wanted from the warming oven! Between those two things, my order came to $8 and some change. With today's inflation and prices it's extremely difficult to get a good lunch for under $10 but with CCP's prices I was able to achieve this. Again, I was pleasantly surprised. I made my way back to the office with the salad and pizza and dug in. The salad was your standard side salad. It was fresh, cold, and crispy... no issues for me here. I destroyed that and then had some pizza which was still warm after eating my salad. The pizza was good and again no complaints here. So for my final thoughts on CPP, it's good and affordable food. If you're looking for a a place to grab a quick bite without breaking the bank then CPP is the restaurant for you. I'm glad I gave CPP a chance and now I will add them to my rotation of lunch places. read more

We thoroughly enjoyed a 14 inch Spinach and Ricotta Speciality Pizza from Chicago Pizza & Pasta on Main Street in St Charles, Illinois. Great service, it was quick and easy to order the pizza over the phone. The pizza was ready for pickup and piping hot. The establishment appeared clean and well maintained. The pizza was delicious, lots of spinach, mozzarella cheese, and balls of creamy ricotta cheese. We will definitely return, and maybe try the pasta dishes next time. read more

More like 2.5 stars..more because of the very friendly person behind the counter. They do also have some nice coupons on their site, but you have to decide if all of that justifies very average food. Actual food here is just "okay at best". We admit we have not tried every single thing on the menu... Thin Pizza - OKAY AT BEST. Kinda pricey considering the toppings were skimped on, yet we paid around $2.00 per topping. Pizza itself came to about $20. You can go to half a dozen other pizza places - from Franky's to Rosati's to Taylor St. to even Domino's - with the pizza being much better, and several dollars cheaper. Wings - OKAY AT BEST. However, we got 18 free with our pizza order (March Madness special) and other times you can get 8 free with a pizza order, so that in itself is still a nice promo. Italian Beef - OKAY. Beef seemed okay (and you get a nice amount), but the bun was your standard Gonnella roll right out of the bag from your grocery store. Nothing bad per se, but overall for what you got it wasn't necessarily a bargain either. Not sure if we'd try again. Nothing here really stood out enough to warrant another return, especially with Franky's being 300 feet away (better food, better prices) as well as any number of other places like Portillo's or Augustino's also having better food. read more

My Husband loves their fried chicken and it has always been outstanding........until recently, when we decided to order 24 pieces for a casual, dinner party that we were hosting for friends. These people drive me crazy! While I do enjoy their pizza by the slice, I often regret stopping in here for what I think will be a quick in and out transaction. Last time I went here, they didn't have any cheese slices. I ordered one cheese and was told it would be ten minutes and two pepperoni. The pepperoni were ready, but since the cheese wasn't, I told the guy I'd sit in my car and wait since it was extremely hot out and I may or may not have been sort of hungover. Anyhow, I went and sat in my car, right in front of the building. While sitting in the car, I saw two teenage boys wander into Chicago Pizza. After ten minutes, I went back into the joint, and the guy comes out with a piece of cheese pizza. I was confused, and told him that I needed the other two pepperoni pieces (I had already paid for). He insisted that he had already given them to me (he didn't). Basically, I was led to believe I was crazy and since I sometimes find that to be plausible myself, I decided to entertain him and go back to my car to ensure I had no pizza slices with me (?)..I didn't. I went back in and told him, no, I don't have anything in my car. I ordered three slices..so please give me them. YEAH...he had given the last two slices of pepperoni (that I had already paid for) to the two kids that walked in while I was sitting in the car. WTF. Basically, I had to then stand there, wilting away, to ensure I got my pizza. In the end I got the pizza, which was really all I wanted, but it was extremely frustrating. I def learned my lesson here. Do not complicate things. If there is no pizza, move on with your life. I know that working at a pizza place and being a stoner sometimes go hand in hand, but ain't nobody got time for your nonsense/lack of short term memory. read more

Very friendly owners. They are always respectful and really do care about their family owned business. They treat their customers as friends. I delivered pizza's for them at one point and know all of the above to be true forsure. Pizza is very very good. Breaded mushrooms, I would recommend. I don't think some of the other reviews do this place it's justice. They always have the best coupons in the mail/coupon books. Never had a problem with service. I worked here at one point and the owner was always looking for ways to improve and try new items. This pizza place has coupons attached to their menus and none of the coupons have expiration dates. But, we were rudely told that the $10 14" pizza coupon with 4 toppings was no longer in the computer and so they will not honor their own coupon. This makes no SENSE - it's still valid! They flatly refused to override the cost to reflect the discount and would not sell it to me for their advertised coupon price. But only about a week ago, I used that same coupon and they took it with no problem. This is the worst pizza I've ever had. We ordered the Buffalo pizza. We got it and the entire edging had no sauce. Finally got to the sauce and my first piece had chicken cartilage. At that point I was done. My wife called to get a refund and they told her that she had to bring the pizza back but by doing so still wouldn't recieve a full refund. My wife asked to speak to the manager but he wasn't in. She was told that he wouldn't call my wife and that she would have to call back when he was in. Service and presentation was perfect, food was inedible. Ordered delivery on grub hub and it was easy and the order arrived hot, early, accurate, and well packaged. Ordered Italian beef which was ok. Chicken Parmesan which was tasteless and a lot of dry spaghetti. Breaded mushrooms were really greasy even for breaded mushrooms. 3- piece fish (on a Friday night) was possibly the worst food I've ever been served. Tiny thin slice of fish tasted really fishy and surrounded by massive amounts of over-fried greasy batter. Obviously management has the place running to perfection except for the food. I have been going to them for about a year and a half as I work about 5 minutes away. The company I work for has been catering from them since I started working there over three years ago and I have never had a problem with their pizza. Having just moved into the St. Charles area I decided to order their "Deep Dish" pizza. Now, anyone from Chicago can say that a deep dish pizza is a pizza with extremely high crust with sauce over a layer of cheese and toppings inside that. The pizza we received was not only completely opposite but it looked like it came out of a card board pizza. We then called and asked to speak with a manager and was told that the pizza we were looking for was called "Stuffed Crust Pizza". We decided to give them a second chance and they came 45 minutes later with indeed a deep dish pizza however, the top layer of cheese was burnt and the insides of the pizza was uncooked. My Fiance decided to eat a piece and got extremely sick, at that point I decided to order Chinese food. I called that night as well to ask if I can speak with the owner and the lady who answered the phone said that he wouldn't be in until tomorrow. I show up at the business and ask for my money back and instead I get handed the phone and cussed at and apparently, because it was my "first time" calling he would not give me my money back. His exact words were, "I gave you one pizza, you sent it back, I gave you another and you sent that one back too. I already lost you as a customer so why should I give you your money back?" I guess he didn't think that the year and a half of business I spent with him was worth $24 dollars. In short: Been going here for a year and a half, order two pizzas from my home, both of them looked and tasted like crap, asked for a refund and was told that he couldn't give me a refund because he already lost me as a customer. I've been ordering from Chicago Pizza and Pasta since 2003. It's my favorite pizza in the tri-cities AND my favorite Italian Beef! Order takers are friendly and always call me by name; delivery is consistently prompt - and the food is as hot as can be. When I neglect to mention "Extra Extra Juicy" for the Italian Beefs, they ask if I want them that way. I was wanting to try this place. The Had dropped menus at our workplace before. The ordering process was fine. Ordered at 10:15 am on a Friday. Was told 45 minutes to an hour for deliver. I figured that would be the case before I ordered. 11:45 I called and asked where my order was. The woman on the phone said well it's busy on Friday. Yes I know that, that's why I ordered early. She said they'd be there soon. She offered a discount on another order, i declined, how would I know if I would go back after the order being late and never trying their pizza before? She said it was 45 min-1 hour that i had been waiting. Then I'd be calling at 11:15 asking. She offered the manager and I said no. Anyways a lukewarm pizza that wasn't all that bad. Bought this pizza tonight and brought it back to my hotel room. I ordered their Chicago style deep dish. Well, the joke was on me. It was not a Chicago style but just a standard deep that was not stuffed and was the worst crust I've ever had in my life. And waaaayyy too much sauce. The sauce was terrible and the pizza didn't even taste fresh. And to add insult to injury, the crust is frozen. Please get a clue how to make a Chicago style pizza or get out of the business. Tried to give a big order to them, with a computer coupon for a special, no expiration date, correct phone number (that's how I got in to them!) the manager was extremely rude, Questioning me on where I got the coupon, etc. online. I told him I had a hard time using a cell phone, which he then shouted at me, "How can you have an online coupon if you're using a cell phone?" I told him I was looking at the computer and had printed out the coupon. He was more abusive and I told him that I would never do business with them. He then was more abusive and I hung up. I'm so surprised by the negative reviews! We've been ordering from here since moving to STC 2 years ago. I've never dealt with the manager before because whoever has been answering the phone has been great for me. We use the meal deal all the time.
