FANTASTIC pizza! Trying to get away from the big & small chains, we stumbled upon this mom & pop-style neighborhood gem and wow, were we glad! We tried a single crust and a double crust. The single wasn't cracker-thin, just normal, but good texture, not soggy or greasy or hard/dry, very fresh and the ingredient quality and quantity were both excellent. Double-crust was exactly that: somewhere between thin & pan, also very generous. Silly us, we ordered the same toppings on both but next time will branch out more. Service was timely, ready upon arrival as ordered, and friendly. Not cheap but worth it for the quality. We will we back next time! read more

This is a hole in the wall pizza spot. It looks like a run down old dine in pizza place, but don't let that discourage you because the pizza is good! It is now pick up only, the dining area is closed off. It usually takes about 30 minutes, so call in your order. read more

Hands down the best pizza I've ever eaten. I've had pizza in Chicago, New York, Italy and lots of other places and all those places have terrific pizza. This pizza is the best because the crust is thin and crackery like no other. The pepperoni is perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The cheese is well-balanced - just the right amount. The other thing that makes this place great is the consistency. I've gotten pizza here for close to 15 years and it never disappoints. OMG! Major attitude problems. Okay I been ordering take out for years from this place and they never really treated me with the utmost respect but they had decent pizza. However after the way I was treated when I phoned to place an order for delivery I can honestly tell you I won't ever be ordering anything from them again! There are plenty of pizza places in Warrenville who don't treat their loyal customers like second class citizens. If there's one thing I've learned about the restaurant business it's customer is king and word of mouth is extremely important. Because the perfectly Sweet Italian Sausage is rather sparsely distributed offering minimal contrast of taste, most of the time. For thin crust pizza this is the place! Arnie's Pizza vs. the rest of the western 'burbs. Arnie's wins hands down. Right amount of sauce (even though I could drink it by the gallon), cheese and toppings all laying neatly on the best pizza crust ever! You know it's crispy when you are waiting ever so patiently and your ears hear them cutting through the "crispiness" of your pie into the most glorious little pieces that will soon be consumed. This place is a little bit difficult to find cuz it is at the end of a little strip mall and is not readily seen from the street. However, it is definitely worth taking the time to find it. The pizza had a ton of toppings...obviously, they do not skimp here. The sauce was tasty and not too salty. The sausage was perfect. It is a small place, so if they get busy they do not use the dining room cuz they do not have servers. Crust was crispy and topping went to the end of the pizza. Pizza experts like myself know this is not stuffed or deep dish, so I was a bit upset. The pizza was two thin crusts stacked on top of each other, with a hand rolled crust. The crust was definitely the saving grace for this pizza. It lacked sauce which was a disappointment. The restaurant is located in Warrenville, and is about 20 mins from my house. I probably won't try again unless I'm looking for a thin crust pizza, and I have a coupon of some sort. The prices are reasonable, but this place is nothing spectacular. It's solid; something you can count on, but nothing you look forward to. One final note: PUT MORE SAUCE ON THE PIZZA! It's a good sauce, but it was seriously lacking on my order. read more

We ate in on a Monday night. We chose Arnie's because Al's is closed on Monday's. Let me be up front, the atmosphere of Arnie's is not very good when compared to Al's. Essentially, it is a take out operation that has added 5 booths. The booths are nice but in desperate need of repair. The system is much the same as Al's. You order at the counter and they bring your pizza out too you. The service was friendly and prompt. The folks running the place seemed very friendly and helpful. Now, as for the pizza, it was very good! Just like it's Warrenville rival, it is a cracker style crust. The ingredients seemed to be fresh. They make their own sauce (witnessed this process myself). The one thing I didn't like was they seemed to take the pizza out just a little to soon. While there was a ton of quality pepperoni on the pizza, it never had a chance to crisp up or gt some of those tasty carbonized edges. I know this is a matter of personal preference, but for me, this is a key element to pepperoni pizza. All in all, this is the second best pizza in the suburbs. They lose a star for broken tables and taking the pizza out to early. read more

I used to live in Warrenville and frequented Arnie's quite often because they had a pretty good pie. I have been there twice in the last month or so with my Family and we were told the dining room is CLOSED! I asked the owner why and he responded he was basically alone so he closes the dining room. What a genius business decision to turn about 25-50 people away a night that want to put money in your pocket. I was pissed this 2nd go around and the guy tells me "then you should have known better and called ahead". Look Dumbass, are you running a F****** business or not? If this is your attitude then sell the business to someone who gives a Shit!!!
