Huge fan of this place! My husband and I ordered from here a number of times (called "hero shop" when getting takeout on some of the delivery sites) before I ventured into the store. I am SO GLAD I did!! It smells wonderful and all of the food choices are awesome. I was like a little kid in a candy store wanting to buy homemade pastas, sauces pizza, cheese, meats, pre made dinners and salads. I would say on a weekly basis we get their deli meats and cheeses and they are always fresh and delicious. I also enjoy their fresh mozzarella, broccoli rabe with grilled chicken and their to go salads. The folks who work in here are very patient and nice. They are also knowledgeable about their selection and can help you out with any questions you may have. I look forward to buying and trying additional meals next time I go in or order! read more

It's ok- not bad for a bunch of non Italians making food- 3/5 - I thought it was a real Italian deli- but they only had domestic Proscutto- no imported - but it's a nice local place - clean- and great service . Go for it read more

Ok, YUM. I was in the area and I've been craving a good italian hero so I hopped on Yelp and ended up here. I decided on the Arthur Ave Special that comes with Chicken cutlet, prosciutto, fresh mozz, red peppers and balsamic. It was HEAVENLY. Everything is fresh, top notch, delicious. Chased it down with an espresso soda and they're perfect together. All of the prepared foods looked fantastic so of course I made a shopping trip out of it. I ended up getting a quart of homemade vodka sauce, some fried eggplant (super thin and perfectly fried like the magic chicken cutlets), housemade mozzarella (beautiful), a salad with grilled chicken and broccoli rabe, and prosciutto di parma that they slice to order. Just scored a custom Grilled Chicken with Sliced eggplant, broccoli rabe, provolone, oil and balsamic. Wow!!! Awesome. The broccoli rabe tasted like broccoli rabe. Just a little crunch and no bitter finish. Just enough garlic for flavor but not masked by heavy garlic and oil like everywhere else. The eggplant was fried perfectly with no dripping oil everywhere. I almost passed right by in haste... thank God I stopped. The staff was friendly and wrapped everything perfectly with NO mess. 5 star Sami all the way for just 10 bucks. Decided to get Parma Market for lunch today on a recommendation. While the prepared meats looked phenomenal and the Italian products on the shelf looked great, the sandwich I ordered was somewhat disappointing. I got the Arthur Avenue special and while the bread was soft, prosciutto was excellent as well as the roasted red peppers, the chicken cutlets were extremely flat and hard as a rock. I'm sure this was just one experience seeing the rest of the reviews on here but sandwich def woulda been amazing if not for the chicken. read more

Was looking for a new deli to try in RVC and I'm glad I stumbled across Parma. I ordered the Parma (grilled chicken, mozz, roasted red peppers and pesto dressing) on a hero to go. It was one of the best italian style sandwiches I've had in a long time - the chicken was seasoned really well, bread was very fresh and the cheese had great flavor. Market is great, both prepared food and fresh meats for purchase. They offer dry goods, fresh breads and fresh pastas as well. Had the fresh ravioli the other night, truly delicious. But what sets this business apart from other Italian delis (around here - for me) is that they make a killer Italian hero. Nowhere else around here can even come close. I've tried everything else in town. If I close my eyes and bite, it's as if I'm actually on Arthur Ave and not in suburban LI. The mozz is legit too. read more

Welcome to Rockville Centre. Finally a quality Italian pork store close to my home. I just barbecued the beef sticks. I added olive oil salt and pepper. They melted in my mouth. Delicious. Also the chicken burgers with the broccoli rabe are so tender and moist. The sausage rings are unreal. I recommend both of them They are so juicy and the taste is unreal. Last week I made the burgers which were so moist and juicy Now they have frozen burgers in the freezer section that you can just bbq frozen. The roasted peppers have such great flavor as well.
