On our way to the Coliseum/forum, we stopped here for lunch. It was packed as you expect a popular location to be. They seated us outside to the right corner looking into the street/gas stop. We ordered the house red and it was great! My husband and I shared a Margherita pizza which was delicious! We also ordered the rice balls. It was tough to eat. The rice was undercooked, then fried. Perhaps it's a one time fluke but since I make this dish at home with left over risotto, I know what to expect. As with all Italian restaurants, one should never expect quick service. I have no issue with that as I'm very familiar. The servers don't all speak English, or speak it well. You're in Italy! It helps if you learn few key phrases to order food or ask for things. The staff weren't super friendly but were very efficient. Every single time someone was filling up diesel next to us, it was horrible! It wasn't constant but enough to bother us. Because of this, we couldn't wait to leave. I wish there was a clear plastic separator to prevent this unpleasantness. The restrooms are inside the restaurant. They are small and not the cleanest (as most restrooms are in Italy). It's a convenient spot across from the Forum, near the "wedding cake". Is this a spot I want to return to? No. Too many options in this area to have to smell diesel while I dine. read more

This is a bit of an overpriced tourist trap. We were ensnared by being hungry and extremely tired from walking all day. The kids got chicken fettuccini Alfredo and my daughter even said beforehand you know a place is a tourist trap when it has that on the menu. But she wanted to try it and regretted her decision afterward. My husband got the beef steak and I got the t-bone. We should've probably known not to order steak in Italy but I was a little tired of pasta and pizza. Both steaks were very tough to eat. The Chianti was the best part of my meal. Fried stuffed olives with pork and great mushroom pizza. It's just what you need after a long day of walking around. The outdoor seating is wonderful and the ability to not be harassed about buying socks by walking street vendors is much better. While the sauce is ok and holds its own against the crust, it comes out unsliced which is a bit jarring to tear at pizza like a savage. But the winner in this is the olives...holy mackerel... Stumbled upon this place while waiting for a guided tour of the Colosseum/Roman Forum. It's a very quick walk (~7min) from the B Line Colosseo first floor exit (take a right upon exit, then a right at the first street you encounter). We were promptly greeted and seated by a host. Wait staff was extremely accommodating (and tolerant of our mostly English!). We ordered a Bloody Mary and a Hurricane to begin. SUPER yummy, we were very impressed. For our main courses we ordered a pizza with Italian sausage and mushrooms, and another with mushrooms and Parma ham (Prosciutto). We were BLOWN AWAY by these pizzas (see photo). We adored the sauce (not acidic in the least!) and the toppings were in the perfect proportion. The crust was ultra crispy and slightly charred around the edges, though a little softer in the middle (not in a bad way!). Our pizzas were approx. $10.50 euro each. What a bargain! An entire pizza EASILY filled us up. I cannot recommend this place enough. It's a wonderful place for tourists looking for a good pizza and a drink after a long day! read more

If you ever find yourself in Rome this is the place to be. This restaurant was so good I went there twice on my trip to Italy. The restaurant is located in the nightlife area of Rome, so you could be out really late at night and there will people out and about. The restaurant itself was very clean and nice. It was trendy, romantic, and hipster all in one. You could sit outside the restaurant, or you can sit inside where there are tables and comfy chairs and the walls are painted fun colors with pictures of quotes and Italian food and other fun things, then you can sit where I did which was in the back which was another outside seating area that was full of green shrubbery and had a garden feel and there were lights that hung above. It was beautiful. So the setting for this place is excellent Ther service was great they were really fast and attentive and the food itself was delicious. I had the margarita pizza with buffalo cheese which was really good and the crust was cooked perfectly and the buffalo cheese is now my favorite thing in the whole world. I also had Tonnarelli Cacico e Pepe which is a really popular dish in Italy, but I did not like it. It has a really strong taste for my palate it was just too much, I had to keep chugging my water after each bite. Also here I had the meat and cheese plate which was perfect. I came to Rome to see beautiful monuments and snippets of an ancient culture. Unfortunately, I can no longer do so after getting FUCKED by this restaurant. When my spaghetti came out, the meat sauce smelled like my grandmothers queef. A quick glance to my right revealed my friends undercooked squid. When I say undercooked, I am talking squidward testicles. However, I am not one too complain as the bowel movement I had 3 minutes into my meal was phenomenal in their 3 x 4 bathroom. Streets in Rome center are closed to traffic on Sunday, so very pleasant. Not sure how it would be with traffic, as the patio sits next to a gas station (which in Rome are located on the side of the street). Didn't charge us "Coperto" or bring bread to table. We are finding restaurants charging 1-2 Euros per person for "pane" even if you don't ask for or want the bread. read more

We had been all over Italy for a couple of weeks, so when we picked out our dessert from the case I didn't even look at the price because all of our desserts ranged from 2-3.8 euros. When the clerk handed us the receipt, I could not believe it. Each of our desserts from this place were 6 euros!! When I told the clerk, oops, we don't want them anymore, these are too expensive, he and another employee claimed they could not refund our money and were insistent about this. Had they attempted to compensate us in some other way, that would have been fine, but they did not. The pizza was mediocre at best, the salad was good, and our desserts double the price were just OK because we had much better at other places. read more

There seem to be a fair amount of negative reviews as to the food. I can't speak for the entire menu as I have only eaten there once after visiting the Colosseum, however the pizza we ordered was fabulous (buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes, and rocket).
