    'Lucci Spinach Pizza

Some of the best pizza in jersey shore area. I would highly recommend this spot for anything you may need for a big group for easy food. Pick up is so easy and would do it again.

Really good pizza. I went just to try the pizza and was not disappointed. The crust is delicious and nice char. They give chili oil on table but the pizza did not need anything.

Specially pizza. Whipped Ricotta, Calabrian chile,, broccolini, sausage pecorino cheese, mozzarella. It was outstanding

Here's the deal true artists delivering amazing pizza and sandwiches! Tough spot to get into on weekends but totally worth it! Most definitely back to explore more creations when km in the area!

Solid pizza. Ad a group of four, we split the Soppressata pizza and white Spinach pizza. The whipped ricotta starter was good but could've come with more bread. BYOB. Plenty of parking.

    Lucci Pepperoni

Great pizza from 'Lucci. This was the Lucci Pepperoni, which also includes some red onion. The crust was outstanding; crispy bottom and edges, but still having a solid chew (this is NOT one of those paper-thin cracker crusts...) Great flavors in the pepperoni, cheese, and sauce. My only nitpick is that there wasn't quite enough sauce on the pizza. But still 5 stars.

    Swag!

I have to say I am floored by the quality and flavor of the food at Lucci. Seriously a top pizza place at the jersey shore. 10 out of 5 for food for sure! The folks there really care about their product and took the time to speak with us about our experience and shared that they are working hard to create a great experience. I would love to see a little more ambiance - perhaps a cozy vibe, so hopefully that will come in time. Just a little more decor could potentially do it. Can't wait to return for that crunchy crust, perfectly balanced sauce, and the perfect amount of cheese. Also, don't sleep on the Caesar salad - it's perfect.

Thin and crispy pizza with a great atmosphere. The waitress was attentive and friendly. As good as the plain pizza was, the spinach pie was the star of the meal. Highly recommend.

Special pie for October -- white with squash, kale, red onion, and sausage
    Megan Z.

I am completely shocked that this place doesn't have over four stars. We LOVED Lucci! What I liked: * Holy smokes, their specialty white pie for October with squash, kale, red onion, and sausage is a home run. The sausage was big chunks of REAL, juicy Italian sausage (none of the fake crumbly stuff), the squash was incredibly flavorful, and the red onion was sliced thin, exactly how I prefer it on pizza * They sell square slices! I'm so sick of whole pie only pizzerias. You gotta' let us taste before we invest in a whole pie * Pricing is comparable to similar establishments ($20 plain pie) * Sourdough crust!!!! * Super friendly staff who you can tell are obsessed with pizza What I didn't love: * The only reason for the -1 star is because unfortunately the square slice was too dry, I think they just reheated it for too long, or maybe they need a little more sauce on it upfront. There were bites that weren't dry/had little pockets of sauce that were the bomb. This is one of those instances where I wish I could give a 4.5 All in all, GREAT place. Well worth the 1-ish hour drive from North Jersey.

Ahhhhhh(cracks knuckles)....walking into the minimalist masterpiece that is Lucci you are confronted with the dichotomy of a simple layout no frills or pomp and the smells of an exquisite experience about to hit your palette. We had our infant with us and had yet to feed her at a restaurant as she eats homemade food even when we're out. Our waitress was warm and considerate and we ordered right away. Well, after the whipped ricotta, meatballs, pasta fagioli, and Caesar salad hit the table, everyone ceased talking and we began the ride, infant included. Meatballs were soft and delicious. We did not leave any trace evidence of the whipped ricotta, Caesar salad was amazing, authentic and still crunchy. The baby ate most of the bowl of pasta fagioli and was smiling and licking her lips the whole time. We moved on to devour the spinach pie and new edition penne vodka. The pizza was hot, thin crusted, flakey and smooth as fuck. Piece after piece disappeared off the tray. The penne vodka had a kick and my daughter crushed it until she was full. We finished with one of the top three tiramisu I've ever had in my hundreds of tiramisu's. Every ingredient was authentic and perfectly paired. I had no bloating, no sticker shock and we left laughing into the cold night at our baby who was still gnawing on now soggy crust. We can't wait to go back and spend another evening there.

The classic plain with sausage! As the menu says "Whole Milk Mozzarella, Fresh Mozzarella, Milled Tomatoes, Basil"
    Dave D.

A breath of fresh air down the shore, took out a plain with sausage. Very good ingredients cooked very well. Great flavor and not too cheesy. The dough is fresh, thin and crisp. Love the sausage, great flavor. I saved a couple of slices for my wife, and will be back to dine in and try the meatballs and salads. While waiting (I arrived 10 minutes early) it was busy, with food flowing from the kitchen and a happy vibe. The place is clean and the staff is very friendly.

NAY! .........People say the meatball sandwiches are very good.

This is probably the finest pizza place in the general Belmar area. Try it yourself and decide if I'm right.

We came, we saw, and my husband conquered :) A few things to note about Pete & Elda's..they don't take reservations. This is an incredibly popular spot, especially in the summer months, so if this is on your Jersey summer list..block out some time for this experience. They do offer to-go if time isn't of the essence, but I do feel like if you have the opportunity to have the full experience, take it. We've never done a food challenge before, but essentially the challenge is for (1) person, 30minute time frame, conquer a full pie, receive a t-shirt and of course, bragging rights. As we were seated, we noticed several other tables had at least one or more people taking the challenge, which was super fun to see and root on. Also in the parking lot there were people taking pictures with the iconic Pete & Elda's sign with their t-shirt and friends. The pizza is like a cracker-thin crust, super yummy and shareable for large groups. We had the cheese, and others at the table ordered sausage/onions, and pepperoni. We also ordered breaded mushrooms (an NJ shore classic) and zucchini sticks for the table, a Caesar salad, and macaroni and cheese for the kiddo. FYI, the macaroni and cheese was pretty fire! I've been eating a lot of kiddo meal leftovers on this trip, and this was a standout. I love the bar atmosphere of this place too, and learned you can actually also order "bar pies" at the (bar only). Great beer selection! There are other food classics on the menu as well if pizza isn't your thing like chicken parm, stuffed shells, veal, seafood, chowder soup(s), burgers, cheesesteaks, and more. All in all, my husband got the t-shirt, finished the challenge in 19 minutes, took the picture, and we all have fun memories of this day. This seems like a spot that holds a lot of memories for families coming to the Shore, and spending summers eating pie and enjoying tradition and celebration. Can't wait to do the same next summer :)
