Nowhere have we found any pizza that compares to the amazing pizza at Legends and Lore. The restaurant is small and almost always busy. The decor is very interesting and will keep you entertained while you wait for your food. And speaking of food, the Flatwood Monster pizza is especially out of this world (pun intended.) One of the toppings is macaroni and cheese. I don't even like mac and cheese, but I love it on this pizza! If you haven't tried it, be sure not to miss it. Just a warning, it does have jalapenos on it. So, if you can't handle a little heat, then I recommend The Legend pizza, which is a supreme with the freshest toppings you'll ever find. Their sammiches are also delicious and very large. A whole hoagie is actually two large sammiches, so you'll have one to eat and one to share or take home. The wings are great too. Heck, everything is fantastic. The owners are friendly and really care about their staff, customers, and the people in the area, often generously giving food those who have fallen on difficult circumstances. They are, as we say here in Appalachia, good people. We drive 36 miles round trip almost every week from Englewood just to eat at our favorite pizza place. It's that good! We love Legends and Lore!!

The wings were good size and cooked just right. Good seasoning and flavor to them and not a lot of fat. Only got the mild with a side of hot sauce. The mild is very mild and that side of hot was just right. We got sweet tea that is made how it should be made very sweet. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Cool decor in the place with lots to look at as you eat. Will definitely be back to order more things soon. Have to try the pizza and a sandwich.

We even signed up for the frequent diner program! Recently we had the Strawberry Spinach Salad & Village Burger with Cheddar & Bacon. Both were very good. This place also has an outside patio area with a view of the Kahite Golf Course and Smoky Mountains. So beautiful. We will be back!

They would rather throw away three footlong sandwiches than to honor the coupon they sent me. Just to be clear, it was the coupon for three footlongs for $17.99. they said the only coupon from the flyer they would accept would be the 1 footlong for $6.99. So, instead of honoring a coupon and making a customer happy, they threw away three footlong sandwiches over $3. I have owned a restaraunt and I do know sometimes you don't make as much on a coupon deal. However, I even accepted competitors coupons(at a loss sometimes). I understand this wasn't the employees fault. They were courteous about it.
