Amazing thing about isolated local neighborhood gems like Pizzuto's is the food is amazing and its quality is superior and no hype... It's tucked into the fabric of Seward Park and frequented by locals. Italian food is my comfort food so when I dine I love love love places like this joint. You walk in and greeted like you live next door. You're seated and the oven hot bread is at your table in minutes. I'm asked can I get you a beverage and handed a menu. Now given after a preview of menu it's gonna be a veal piccata night and that's accompanied by spaghetti aglio e olio. Like OMG my two favorite dishes combined on one plate... say it isn't so . No salad tonight cause it's all about the veal, and for you folks who hate veal well "fuhgeddaboudit" cause I like it! After a small wait the main event arrives and folks it's delicious. Its tender and picata sauce is overwhelming with lemony sensations. I twirled pieces of veal and spaghetti aglio e olio on my spoon for the most amazing combination of tastes. Feeling satisfied and complete I didn't have desert which actually looked great. Who dosent love Spumoni ice cream when dining Italian style but tonight I didn't have the capacity to entertain another bite. Let's just say my meal was AWESOME! Now a little about the ambiance of Pizzutos. It's kinda stripped down. No fancy decor which is a blessing. These folks put the money in the product and not fancy settings. Went to Pizzuto's today (6/5) for the first time. So glad we did. Liz was our server. She was very attentive and nice. I had Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken. It was sooo good. My sister had the meat Ravioli with Marinara sauce. That was also sooo good. For dessert, I had the Chocolate Tartufo and my sister had the Tiramisu. The desserts were fantastic. This is my life long favorite restaurant. They've switched owners/management a couple of times, but the vibes have always stayed pretty similar. It's American Italian food, very homestyle. My go-to order is the tortellini alfetta or the gnocchi. The tortellini alfetta is a garlic-y cream sauce with prawns. It has such a complex flavor and I've asked for more details on what is in the sauce but it is a secret! Their gnocchi is very soft and tender. It is clearly made in house. So Yelp should know that Pizzutos is now under new management and ownership. One of the waitresses who has been working here since she was young, has acquired the restaurant. There is an absolutely phenomenal positive transformation and upgrade occurring. Liz has dramatically upgraded the wine list, and so anybody who is interested in red wine will find something phenomenal here. Also, the food has taken a real step up and the ingredients are fantastic. I think the community should absolutely step up and support the new Pizzuto which has been redecorated and it's chill and lovely and the food is terrific and the wine is great. This place was close to our Airbnb when we were here on vacation so we walked over for dinner on our first night and really enjoyed it! Enjoyed the house red. Pasta itself was fine, but had the meatball/sausage combo and found the sausage to be very dry and under seasoned. Meatball and meat sauce were average. This place is just OK. The bread though. The bread is amazing. It is fresh. You can totally tell. If I was going to give a number of star based off the bread, I would give this place a five star. But with everything else, the food is just mediocre. I would not come here if I had to go to an Italian restaurant in Seattle. I'm blessed with an amazing better half. Part of that is her skill in the kitchen. That said - there are times when it's just better/more fun to go out or have someone else do the cooking. We've lived in the neighborhood for decades and Pizzuto's has always been the go-to spot for a quick pick up. Even more important - the meat ravioli is her favorite thing and it's always available. It's nice to go in and sit down with a carafe of vino but more often than not we'll just go online, place an order, pick up the ravioli along with either a Campobasso pizza (my regular) or eggplant or chicken parmesan. All tasty and with generous portions. I love their Roquefort dressing too. Pro tip: the meals come with a side. You can option "up" your side to a full sized salad. Would recommend the Italian salad (comes with lots of cheese, olives and salami) but with the Roquefort dressing. Killer. The bread is delicious as well. Glad to see a family run business survive the pandemic and thrive. Normally I'd take some photos but lets face it - take out food isn't exactly the best representation of the meal so I'll take some fancy shots next time we dine in. Buon appetito! read more

Food and Ambiance is excellent but the server is impatient with family or customers that would order and take long with the order. I have visitors from asia and the kid has special needs when we were ordering her food she suddenly said no I dont want that. So we had to look and explain to her like 20 seconds server just said I will come back in a rude way. We eat out frequently but this is the first time I encounter Impatient servers. Plus we are only 3 tables in the whole restaurant!! And noticed her chitchatting with other tables like for more than 2minutes!!!! And she took the menus in also a rude way. I regret eating here and bringing guests. When we were paying the bill she did the same thing to this family that has 2 kids. I heard her btw the guys servers were all nice and friendly! My family of 3 came in on a Friday around dinner time and we had to wait for a table, which is completely normal but I don't believe the staff had mentioned it to one another and the next pair that came in were seated right away on a 4 top. I had to move myself from the waiting area to be noticeable to the staff, which they then swiftly corrected for us. Food was amazing. We started with cheesy bread as an app then for main dishes, we ordered linguine for my daughter, pescara with a side of minestrone soup for my SO, and carbonara for myself with a side of house salad. All which were delicious as i finished my entire plate. We frequent this spot for both take out and dine-in. It's a great neighborhood gem! We have friends that visit Seattle and always request to eat dinner here. OMG!!!!!!! Let's be honest. There are a number of Italian restaurants but it's hard to find a really good spot. Ladies and gentlemen this the spot. I can't believe this place has been under my nose and never visited. I love the neighborhood vibe as soon you walk through the door. It's not small but it's not super big. I always like to give places the lasagna test because and as easy as it seems to make, I've encountered some horrible tasting lasagnas. This lasagna was hands down some of the best I've ever tasted. My dad had been to Pizzuto's with friends and suggested coming here for dinner yesterday. I was a little worried cause I had to be home by 6:30 and we didn't get there till about 5:15 but everything went smoothly and I was hole in time. They bring you a basket of hot scissor rolls I haven't had scissor rolls it was nice that the server said some were just out coming out of the oven and would be on there way. Entrees come with a small house salad don't see that often now days what a great touch. I grew up in Rainer Valley going to Vince's that's what Pizzuto's reminds me if a family owned restaurant great for family. It appeared to be a neighborhood favorite. Wide variety of protein selections. Large portions and friendly service you'll definitely have leftovers. We like to go here, because it's in the neighborhood and I want to support local businesses. BUT....the meatballs in the kids spaghetti and meatballs are waaaay too spicy. The smell of garlic was in the air as we entered the large dining room and we were warmly greeted and quickly seated. The menu is extensive with several pizza options as well as several pasta, chicken, seafood and veal dishes. Wine was very reasonably priced with glasses of house wine starting at just $5, a half liter for $12 and a liter for $20. I had a glass of their Sicilian Nero d'Avola ($6) which was dark, robust and filled to the brim ... HOOAH! All meals come with soup or salad and fresh, warm, delicious bread and butter, ranging from $11 to $18.50. My wife had the Cheese Ravioli in Pesto Sauce ($12.50) and I the Veal Saltimbocca ($18.50). The salads were small, but fresh with lettuce, carrots, croutons and choice of dressing. The ravioli was a bit of a disappointment with just ten on the plate, looking as if they were mass produced, not made in-house. The pesto sauce was pretty good, but my wife was still a bit hungry after finishing her small salad and ten medium size ravioli. My veal was abundant and tasty, but not what I was expecting. Veal saltimbocca (alla Romana) normally comes with veal scallops topped with thin slices of prosciutto and topped with fresh mozzarella in a light sauce of butter, a little lemon and fresh sage, but this sauce was very spicy with a tomato base. It was good, but I was expecting something different. The spaghetti aglio e olio (garlic and olive oil) was also abundant and a good choice to accompany the saltimbocca. My wife was born it Sicily and raised in Naples, Italy and I, beside being of Italian descent, lived in Italy for nearly three and a half years in addition to having traveled there extensively, so we have higher expectations than most when eating at Italian restaurants. Pizzuto's does a better job than many stateside Italian eateries and the prices are definitely affordable, but the food was not as authentic as it could have been. Had the salads been a little bigger, the ravioli more abundant, and the saltimbocca sauce more traditional, they would have definitely scored an extra bomb or two.
