It is hard to believe that I am writing ANOTHER review about the same damn thing. Daily, I get up to drive to my office and I pass 5 coffee shops to get to PJs. I could spend my money elsewhere. The only thing they can get right is SHOVING THAT DAMN TIP SHEET THRU THE WINDOW FOR A GRATUITY. This is the 5th and final time to deal with them getting a SIMPLE COFFEE order straight from their drive-thru. I order the same thing every time. Coffee, No sugar, just cream. LORD HELP ME IF I ORDERED A FULL BREAKFAST. I am sure they would fuck that up too. Fret not, Mr. Jones will not be back to your establishment. And for those who are reading this. Save your self the frustration. 7 Brew & Starbucks are some great options. read more

Came back the next day to try another drink and the little blonde girl asked me and my boyfriend what we are looking for. This was a pretty good PJ's and I feel like it deserves points just for being out in the middle of no where. I mean, do you know how many areas of the city are more populated and don't have a proper PJ's? It took a minute for me to find this location, because I have no clue where anything is in Chalmette, but once I got here the service was fast and friendly. I got a large iced coffee with 2% milk and they were a little stingy on the milk, but other than that, it was okay. If I had one complaint it would be the fact that there is no milk and cream out for the public to use. Well, they do have that Carnation imitation cream, but not the real stuff. Ok I just left this location. My first and last time coming here. I go to pjs all over New Orleans all day long, every day. I ordered 2 drinks and 2 bitter croissants for my daughter and me. They put the 2 croissants in a microwave sitting right next to the pick up window. Anyone who eats croissants or anyone who pays $3 for one croissant knows that this will ruin it. Who wants a soggy, soft croissant? I asked her why they put it in the microwave instead of the toaster and she said that's how they do it. Another girl came by the window and had a really bad attitude and started fussing with the cashier, who was actually being nice about it. I handed the croissant to her and she snatched it from me and tan off. I asked the girl what was going on and she asked me did I want to be refunded. I said well yes I guess so, since she snatched it from me. Unless she's gonna put it in a toaster oven? She closes the window and asks a different girl who is really animated and fussing about it so then the cashier opens the window and says you have to pull up. And I said why? It's gonna take 4 minutes. The other girl is still fussing. So then I said just go ahead and refund me. Then the other girl comes and gives me my money and was very rude about it. And she rolls her eyes at me and slams the window shut. I will never be back here. It's ridiculous to have these attitudes, this early in the afternoon at a damn coffee shop!!! read more

PJs is a 5 star coffee shop if you're wearing your Parish goggles. Without them, they deserve 3 stars for dutifully executing the PJs franchise model - nothing less and nothing more. You see, PJs is the only full-service coffee shop in St. Bernard Parish. There are really no other options if you want to order an espresso drink, sit in a comfy chair, and get some work done. Because of this, I'm at PJs like its my second home. The iced coffee is consistent, the staff remembers my drink order, and they're as nice as can be. But there are problems... The wireless internet here was unapologetically down for a month without any posted notice that patrons shouldn't bother searching for a signal. That's just bad customer service. read more

I love PJ's. I usually get the French vanilla iced coffee every time I go, and it's absolutely delicious! I've also had lattes, the granita, bagels and breakfast croissants that have all been good too. The staff is always super friendly, and I've never had a bad coffee. If you go in the morning, you should expect a longer wait time, but the staff hustles to get all the orders out as quickly as possible. If you're looking for a great coffee, this is the place to go. read more

I am usually here once or twice a week to get some studying done. The baristas are friendly and the coffee shop is a decent size! I never have trouble finding a table. The only downside is their spotty wifi. I always find myself having to use my phone's hotspot to get wifi on my laptop. read more

The coffee is pretty good here. I'd recommend any of the Frappe flavors! I get coffee here at least once a week. My favorite seasonal flavors are Southern Wedding Cake (summertime) and King Cake (around Mardi Gras). read more

Other reviewers don't give this place enough credit! We try to limit ourselves and only go here once a week, but we would go every day if we could. We've tried PJ's in New Orleans before, but it had a limited variety of drinks and didn't taste nearly as good as the Chalmette location. Our favorite drinks are the white chocolate granita and the southern wedding cake velvet ice (seasonal, but they'll make it any time if you ask). It also has a drive-thru, which is nice. As for the inside, it's always clean and very comfortable. Definitely the best place to get frozen coffee in Saint Bernard, and definitely better than any Starbucks. read more

I went today and ordered an iced latte and it was straight milk with barely any espresso, not to mention it was $4.71 for a medium. $4.71 for a cup of milk. I've tried PJs at other locations and their coffee is great, just not this one. So frustrating!! read more

Nice little coffee shop in "Da Parish", it's a smaller PJ's but still pretty good. The girls who work here are always very nice and super efficient with orders. There are some breakfast items and some other baked goods (muffins, Danish, cookies, etc) available. The downside is the furniture inside is extremely worn and raggedy looking. They could seriously benefit from replacing it but other than that, it's a cool little spot to sit, relax, and sip. read more

We came with a group. The a/c must not be working because it is HOT in the cafe. Also, I ordered a drink and asked for vanilla and no ice. I was told it's an up-charge, which I agreed to. However, when I asked why the price was increased by almost $3 the barista said well it's a $0.75 charge for vanilla. It seemed like a lot more to me, but there was a long line so I asked for a receipt and went with it. Upon seeing the receipt, I was NOT happy to find a $0.75 charge for vanilla AND a $2.00 charge for 'no ice.' That was definitely not communicated. I basically paid for a second drink. I would have taken the ice to avoid a $2 charge. The most frustrating part to me was that I did ask about the large increase and was pretty much blown off as 'it's just the vanilla.' read more

Our PJ's in Da Parish deserves 4 stars, 4.5 if it were possible. The employees have been nothing but kind and helpful. The drinks are consistent and on par with PJ's drinks elsewhere in the region. Sure, they're not exactly pro baristas, and I can probably pull a better espresso shot and definitely make better milk-based drinks at home, but the same could be said for many coffee shops these days, including a certain big chain from Seattle. And I would choose any PJ's location -- this one too -- over the big chain. The one negative about this location is that the baked goods are pretty abysmal. I have had delicious scones at other PJ's locations, but the ones here have always been way overbaked and dry, if not downright burned at the bottoms and edges. I hope I'm wrong, but I do suspect that they might me reheating things to prolong their shelf life. So, if you're looking for a decent, coffeehouse-chain-style beverage, then look no further (you won't find another one in this town, anyway). Just stay away from the scones. read more

The Drinks are great and the servers are very nice, only negative star is the wait time. Its a hit or miss, sometimes i am in and out and my order is perfect and i am very happy. Some times its a miss and i end up waiting and my order is barely what i ordered. Overall if i am in the area and i am too lazy to get out my car for some coffee they are perfect. read more
