I'm so glad to have found this little spot that was within walking distance to where we were staying for the weekend. The barista was so friendly and there's a good amount of seating, both indoors and outdoors. I loved my latte which was decently priced, as well as the Chantilly cake slice in the display case. Refreshing and light without being too sweet, and filled with blueberries! I can imagine coming here and reading for a while and enjoying the natural light coming through. Such a great find!

Cute little spot tucked away in the Bywater. Offers a variety of drink options and pastries. I got the gluten free chocolate torte (it was amazing) and they had a gluten free blueberry muffin. The staff was very nice and definitely would return here.

If you're in Bywater and need caffeine or a nice place to work or read, go to Petite Clouet Cafe, a spacious corner cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Stopping in for caffeine, my wife enjoyed the iced peach tea and I loved the iced chai latte. Service was excellent and quick!

What a gem of a coffee shop. Incredible service by the lovely baristas, so personable and kind. Great food options- croissants, quiches, pastries, yummm. Great ambiance and you can bring dogs! Will be back what a lovely way to start our day.

Suchhh a great cafe in the area. So cute inside and everything we got was so good -- two iced teas (loved my 1/2 coconut oolong 1/2 white peach) and a splendid key lime pie. Also loved the vegan turmeric blueberry cookie

Yasssss!!! I randomly found this place while on a walkabout! A few things I love: - great espresso - they even gave complimentary soda water. That's how you know they're the real deal, baby! - friendly staff - and, get ready for this one, the typeface warms my heart! It is some sort of classic Belleville/upper east side typeface that empties French vibes. Really adds to the vibe. - speaking of vibes, the atmosphere is great too. Super welcoming. Oh so cozy!

Cozy, breezy cafe that blends indoors with outdoors. Cute dogs strolling in throughout the day. So many tempting pastries and savory little dishes to try. We came in the early afternoon, only a few items left. Tried the ube brownie, which was different. Kind of sweet and not too ube, but that was ok. Really liked the tomato spinach croissant, luckily we got the last one. Also recommend the hibiscus lemonade, was light and refreshing. Despite being run by 1 person on the weekend we were there, they were efficient and welcoming

Amazing coffee, food, and customer service. My absolute favorite spot to visit in the mornings.

The most magical little cafe in New Orleans. Great coffee and if you're lucky you'll get to hear some local musicians play while you enjoy your afternoon here.

A lovely coffee and pastry spot in the Bywater. Got a croissant with an egg baked into it to go with my latte, and it was delicious!

Super cute little place. Had a small iced breve latte. Added a sprinkle of cinnamon. Yes please! All 3 of us loved our drinks.

It truly feels like you are stepping back into a time gone past when you find your way into this establishment. Cafe Du Monde is broken up into two distinct environments. One is its interior seating area. It's fine in there if you want to get out of the elements. My choice is the exterior seating area, however. There is just something great about having coffee and a beignet while sitting outside and embracing the weather that New Orleans in known for. It's a fully covered space, so you don't have to worry about getting wet, if it is raining, or anything like that. It is just so much fun to sit there and embrace the day. The way this place works is that if you see a table, you just go and sit at that table. No waiting to be seated required. Once there, one of the staff will quickly come to take your order. They have a limited menu, so ordering is easy. Cash only please! Some of the staff are truly unique individuals. The last time I was there, I had an elder lady, of Chinese descent, helping me. She could barely communicate in English. Luckily, my Mandarin was good enough for us to place or order. Though Mandarin was not her native dialect, we did, none-the-less, communicate. That was an experience. How she helped out the other customers is anyone's guess. I'm just saying, some of the staff at Cafe Du Monde are truly unique individuals. Overall, if you in NOLA, you must go here. It's a fun experience.

I was in New Orleans for the 2026 Jazz and Heritage Festival, so my mornings were my own. I travel alone and don't always look for reservations when planning on a meal in this city. Streetcar Café is a perfect choice for what I was looking for: ample breakfast choices, a full bar, and excellent service by Andres. I ordered two poached eggs ($3.50), a single pancake ($4.50), and hash brown potatoes ($4). Totally reasonable pricing, and excellent meals, topped with the Always Summer (Malibu rum, Triple sec, OJ, Pineapple juice, Grenadine, $13). The place filled up pretty quickly after I arrived at around 10 a.m. Andres did an outstanding job of keeping track of my order, and served up the menu items piping hot. Couldn't finish it all, but it was a best-choice for brunch this morning.

The fried 'seafood' platter contains farm-raised imported shrimp, farm-raised imported Swai (a foreign garbage-eating pond-raised fish), and farmed oysters for $26. No thanks. Ok. Switching to gumbo. Uh, their 'gumbo' is a thin broth with virtually no solid ingredients besides white rice. A very few minuscule shreds of chicken and maybe a 6-8 tiny cubes of some tasteless sausage for $17. It did come with a nice biscuit. Be aware of what's being served. Stick to the well-known real-deal restaurants. Not everything is what it claims to be. Nothing real about this ripoff. We'll never go back to this tourist trap.

Though pop-up showers were still lingering, my husband and I decided to take a gamble on courtyard dining--and I am so glad we did! Sheltered under the green umbrellas surrounded by historic brick walls, lush greenery, and rain-kissed citrus trees, the atmosphere was incredibly romantic and peaceful. The courtyard's intimate layout even brought a bit of extra magic to our evening. We sat near another wonderful couple (and their adorable daughter) and became fast friends, sharing laughs and conversation throughout the night. What truly anchored the experience, though, was the incredible service. The staff was remarkably personable, helpful, and welcoming. The dinner itself was excellent from start to finish, showcasing immense culinary skill across every dish. We started with the delicious brussels sprouts and a uniquely seasoned spring/summer gumbo that was unlike any version we've had before (oh, what I would give for the recipe). As for the entrées, the shrimp and grits were phenomenal, and the blackened catfish sandwich with a fresh salad was executed flawlessly...and the bread pudding was fantastic, too! It is rare to find an experience where top-tier hospitality, a breathtaking environment, and great food come together so (seemingly) effortlessly. Café Amélie is an absolute must-visit! We will be back.
