What a wonderful addition to the community. PJ's Coffee is simply fantastic the place is absolutely beautiful. It's the perfect place to meet with a friend or perhaps just have a solo cup of coffee while you work or relax. There's lots of variety and food and pastries. The coffee assortment is fantastic. I tried the sausage breakfast sandwich with a medium praline coffee. I can't wait to try more things there. My first experience with PJ's was the Northlake location. Today I tried one close to my home and it didn't let me down. I went early a little after opening and placed my order through the app. Upon my arrival it looked like the staff was prepping the store so they didn't see my order so it wasn't ready when I got there. The staff was apologetic and nice about it. I purchased a cappuccino with heavy cream and sugar free caramel, strawberry and cream cheese croissant and a maple sausage ciabatta. Each item was absolutely delicious!!!! This is my favorite coffee shop now officially! The space is very nice and well decorated too. Perfect spot to relax have a great cup and good book. I am a coffee lover and I like to watch barista making coffee. I believe it is an art of life. But...... This is second time I had return this place, and both two time, I hate my drinks so much. The first time, I admitted that I ordered a little complicated drink, "king cake protein velvet ice" with extra shots of espresso. It didn't turn out nice and impressive. Today, I wanted to prove myself wrong and came back to order something way simpler. The barista nicely greeting at the drive-through. I asked for the strongest caffeine drink, and I wanted it cool and Ice. She suggested the granite or ICE LATTE In the end, I ordered a large White Chocolate ice Latte with 3 extra shots. However, my barista got me a hot latte, and fixed it to ice as I wished for. Now... Let's do some math. Each shot of espresso, as my barista said, equal 2oz. My drink had 5shots = 10oz The large cup = 20oz My drink should be filled up half of the cup with only coffee. I swear I do not taste or smell my coffee at all. The drink was so tasteless. I HATE MY DRINKS SO MUCH!!! And my breakfast sandwich is so dry and overcooked. read more

The only good news, our Drinks were made correctly; The bad news, our customer experience was not great. Someone, who just walked in, not in any sort of uniform, didn't introduce themselves, told us to leave under the premise of, "health concerns." They were rude, and conveyed a perturbed tone. My partner and I were holding -- in our hands -- our brand new baby puppies, while waiting for our to go order, 2 beverages and a pastry to be prepared. When I explained this to the hound woman, she told us to wait outside and someone would bring us our order. While this exchange was happening, there was another customer who came in, with a full sized springer spaniel, on a leash. This customer was allowed to not only place an order for her self, but also a whip cream cup for her dog. Moreover, this woman who I can only assume worked for the cafe, allowed this other customer to wait inside the cafe for the complete order and did not request that she and her dog wait outside. This blatant act of discrimination needed to be noted. Why were myself and my partner -- two gay men-- who were respectfully holding our quite, and behaved 8 and 10 week old puppies asked to leave and wait for our order outside? All the while the next customer was able to let their -- also well behaved -- full grown dog run around within the limits of its leash, and wait inside the cafe for her order... First, all customers should be treated equally! Second, as a former Cafe Manager, I can tell you we posed no health concern, and I have asked the health inspector. Third, the customer service was terribly unprofessional. There is a certain decorum a manager or employee should operate within. read more

We were (was?) over this way looking at a furniture store. Stopped in for a quick bite. We both got the praline and cream latte and the beignets. The beignets were delicious. Not overly sweet and hit the spot. I didn't really taste pralines in the latte, mostly whipped cream. Maybe a hint of praline. I wanted to have a great experience. That didn't occur. This place popped up as a "visit spot" on my Yelp. I don't live as close to that side, as I previously lived in the Bluffview community. While running errands today, I saw their location and had to stop in. I walked in today and the atmosphere was nice. No one was in line and so I walked up as I looked at there showcase of food items. A tall African American woman walked up, no greeting and just looked at me. Eye to eye I simply asked for literature or a brochure about there place. She asked food or coffee? I told her coffee. She obtained the brochure and handed it to me and I said thank you and walked away. No response back. Maybe today wasn't her day, but I will go back hoping for a better experience and to rate the food etc. And update this review. 2 stars for the nice atmosphere read more

Why are people sitting in the drive through at Starbucks for 20 minutes, getting a burnt cup o' joe when there's a far superior place just down the road??? Everything is better at PJ's - the service, the employees, the wait time and certainly the coffee. I hope business stays brisk for them here and they continue to thrive, because the burbs definitely need this alternative to that horrid chain that's on every corner in town. First time trying PJ's and it was delicious! I came from Austin for the weekend and had to stop by. I had a vanilla velvet ice with chocolate syrup and it was tasty. I also tried the chocolate croissant and it was a hit! The ambiance in the shop was great and the workers were nice too! I drove from University Park area just to go here and when I asked for the vanilla to make my iced coffee at home, no one knew what I was talking about. They had previously sold the Ronald Reginald vanilla and now they don't. They told me it's because they are franchised. What an insult to PJ herself. She invented iced coffees. I am not one to leave reviews, but I had to share the wonderful experience I had at PJ's Coffee Of New Orleans. I walked in and immediately received a warm welcome from an employee. I had a few questions about the menu and the barista took the time to explain what was available and even offered some recommendations. I ended up ordering a frozen lemonade with peach purée and an order of beignets, both of which exceeded my expectations. The beignets were fresh, hot, and topped with the perfect amount of powdered sugar! The frozen lemonade was the perfect way to cool off in this Dallas heat, too. Overall, I had an amazing experience at this coffee shop and I will definitely make visiting PJ's Coffee Of New Orleans part of my weekly routine!! read more

I really want to give this place more stars. It pains me not to. I've been a few times and it's not totally disappointing each time, but the highlights of experiences; first, the people are always so nice and cheery, super great team atmosphere. Second, love how the credit card you use is paired with your rewards. Third, every time I get a sandwich it is soggy. $5 for a soggy sandwich is just disappointing honestly. I want them so badly to be good; maybe I should lower my standards of a microwaved sandwhich. Lastly, the iced drinks never have enough ice. I just ordered a four shot, iced large latte with oat milk; it's been 5 minutes since driving away and there's no Ice anymore. Hate that I drove 10 minutes in the opposite way and past 2 other shops to go here this morning. I'll keep trying though. Overall, good choice if you're around the area. I went to the drive through since I just finished my classes, and I got the hot chocolate and the beignets. And y'all... it's so freaking good! The beignets was a 2-3 minute wait because they are made fresh. Once I got them and ate one, I almost cried because they are that good.
