I've been wanting to check this spot out for a while now and finally had the chance. It's spacious but also not spacious. The seating is kind of limited. There's a large space for vinyls so if you're into that, def a spot to check out. I did like the quirkiness off the spot. The staff was kind and helpful. I had one of their special flavor lattes and my partner had just a usual flavor latte (vanilla). They were fine. Not the best but not awful. It's not your usual coffee shop, so it may not be everyone's cup of tea but I give it a taste. read more

So, I was here for a day date. Now hear me out. I'm an 80's baby. Coffee is an acceptable, casual date. But I'm also a refined lady, so don't take me to Starbucks, Okay?! My love for vinyl, independent gems, and tea (although I chose coffee) collided at SC&V. Browsing the records and listening to low music dancing through the air were met with conversation in a low-key, comfortable space. We each chose our coffee, milk base (alternatives like almond and oat are available), and syrup. I opted for an iced almond milk macchiato, with caramel syrup. A little on the sweet side, but better than the chain that shall remain nam... oops, I already named them. They have a cereal bar if that's your thing (not mine), but everything looked fresh and brought back childhood cereal memories. Anywho, SP&V isn't as spacious as it appears from the outside, but I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. There's limited seating and only one bathroom (at least I only saw one bathroom), so it was a waiting game. No website, but their IG is active. I may check out one of their DJ events, but overall the clientele was pretty young while there. Hoping for a more mixed age crowd, if I do go to an event. read more

This was quite a charming place! I came in there in hopes of finding a quiet place to get some work done and it was wonderful. The person that was working there was really helpful when it comes to drink recommendations! Don't be shy to ask them if they have a certain flavor/syrup you're looking for; literally eavesdropped on one of the orders and found out they have all of the berries in syrup form. I got the Salted Egg latte, which was custardy (just like how the barista described it). Obviously, there's the vinyls that you can check out. The overall vibe was very homey which was wonderful so that's great for students in the area to get out of their house to find a quiet place to study at. read more

If you are hoping for lovely light crepes you will NOT find them here. It's basically plain pancake batter cooked thin. They are tasteless. Coffee and drinks are nice on the patio but I woukd not recommend eating here. Not sure how they got over 4 stars unless they are bots. This is the WORST record store in all of DFW. Records in the bins and shelves with no price and when I asked for a price I was told I would have to come back so someone could look at what I found. Not even an offer to call this person to find prices. If vinyl is in your store name but employees can't sell, you are wasting everyone's time. My daughter loves vinyl like I do so I took her today to The Spin Coffee and Vinyl. OMG how awesome is it!!! They have a variety of hot and cold options for drinks, as well as a variety of baked goods. They had a cereal bar, what a cute idea! The outside is colorful and bold, the inside is cozy. There are quite a selection of vinyls to take a look at, past and new as well as CDs, and cassettes. I liked that they had a variety of games to pick from to play while you are there to play. There's a large table for games as well as cozy seating for those who want to sit and read. Cafe tables as well! I'm thinking it's the owner who is there, he was very friendly and accommodating, and went out of his way to help us. What an awesome little spot, I highly recommend stopping by! read more

Ok, second visit and the attraction is growing. Last time, we got the drinks to go, but stayed in this time. OMG, the presentation was insane, and I think even more delicious! I'll be going back to hang out and play games with my daughter. Oh, and they've added some local artist's prints for sale, which are super cute! Love the art, too, and so wanna own those adorable glasses! Kenn was an absolute delight! I've had my eye on this location and was so happy when I finally stopped by. The menu seems simple but don't let this limit your request. The owner has many syrups and the skills to prepare pretty much anything. I swear there must be a secret menu just for regulars! I ordered a peanut butter vanilla latte with oat milk, it was so good, I ordered a 2nd cup! The interior design is just as you would hope for, very musician collective/ artsy even the clientele fits the scene (very cool kids atmosphere). Music is played on a record player (of course) and they have a great selection of records available for sale along with other musician/celebrity knick-knacks. I came here with my family, we are a group of six, and had the best time!! Everyone was more than kind and welcoming and gave us such a good experience. My sisters and I got some yummy iced lattes that were PERFECT! My mom got a white chocolate mocha with blueberry, which was recommended for her by Chris! She absolutely loved it. My boyfriend got a caramel cappuccino that was amazing, and dad asked for a "surprise" and ended up with a foamy latte that he loved as well! We also got a couple ham and cheese croissants that were amazing! This is the best place. It's clean and cozy, and a great place to sit and chat. The music is excellent too! They play records that you can hear through the whole place at the perfect volume. The decor is so cute and I love that they use real dishes and not a bunch of plastic and paper. I loved this coffee shop/record store. The decor was inventive and utilized recycled LPs. They have a full menu of hot and cold coffee drinks as well as a cooler full of waters, juices and CBD enhanced drinks. There's a case full of fresh pastries too. I tried a caramel latte (the presentation was exquisite!) It came in an artfully curved mug, heavy on the foam, with a spiral of caramel sauce on top. Yum! The eclairs are beyond delish. I sat at a small glass topped table with comfortable green chairs, but they had a conversation area with club chairs and a bar at the window with lots of plugs for laptop users. Our barista was helpful and friendly - they bring your drinks right to your table... expect a bit of a wait during busy times. He kept eclectic tunes playing on the record player. In addition to the lovely coffee experience, you can pick up some music as well. Their selection of vinyls was good, and they carry used CDs, cassette tapes and DVDs too. I lucked out with rock star parking in the front lot, but if you find that space full there is an underground lot behind the building with an elevator that will take you right to the front door. read more

Great hours and a real nice atmosphere with constant vinyl music playing in the background. Prices are cheap, think $4 for an ice latte and a flavor like vanilla was no charge. Came in a nice large glass container by the cool owner with a metal straw. I think the coffee was a bit too diluted tho since it was in such a large container, it was mildly sweet which is fine as well. I got my work done and it was a welcoming environment, but I am not sure I will be back anytime soon. read more

Found this cute lil spot today while out being that I boycotted Starbucks today (they know what they did)! Let me begin with saying this seems to be a family owned business and that made me happy to spend my money here! Side note: It's not to far from the galleria mall in Dallas. So we came in for some coffee and tea and were pleasantly surprised with the place. I got a tea, my hubby got a iced cafe cola and my daughter got a latte with heavy cream and sugar free hazelnut. While at the register I saw some A&M playing cards and a cool vinyl cloth so I purchased those for the house! My hubby found a cool notebook for $4! That's better than TJ Maxx prices! Honestly, they have tons of neat items for purchase and a nice comfortable seating atmosphere. I definitely recommend you pop in when in the area! read more

Cute place! Small street parking with more parking in the parking garage beneath (the garage is very dark.) There were a lot of people checking out the vinyl collection. Has a very "homey" feel. Also a very unique "cereal bar" which I didn't get. Space is small enough that other tables might hear your conversation (when full, so imagine when there aren't many in the store) Great for a quick coffee (of decent prices and slightly larger than normal sizes) and relaxing chat, although it may not be suitable for long-term studying/work if you're looking for that. Not too many outlets and half of the chairs are laid back as if lounging. I had a macchiato (larger than normal size which I appreciated) and my friend had a matcha (keep in mind, the earthy/grassy taste isn't too prominent. It was more like a sweetened milk with matcha flavoring and color.) TL;DR - 6-7/10 Fabs. Nothing bad exactly, but I wouldn't rate it higher bc it does not seem to offer much more. Which, keep in mind, is okay, bc the shop was intended for certain customers (ie, record/vinyl lovers) even if the target customers were a more specific niche. As someone who enjoys studying for long periods, I might not come back, but they are worth a visit if you're in the area and like their vibe and niche =) read more

This is a wonderful coffee spot, and honestly a phenomenal alternative to your humdrum date night or meetup at a bar or restaurant. Especially if you are a coffee lover! And even if you are not super into coffee, they have alternatives for you to try. As well as...wait for it...a freaking CEREAL BAR! With probably every cereal you were ever into as a kid. Plus your choice of milk! I'm an almond milk girl at heart so that they have that as well as oat milk. Browse through the record collection for fun or make a purchase from their vast collection. I noticed that they also had a few bites to eat up at the counter. But I very much enjoyed my lavender cold brew and fruity pebbles cereal. Come kick it here (I think they stay open late) choose from their selection of board games and then go to town.
