When he noticed I didn't have an AMPM rewards card, he even scanned his own card so I could get discounts, completely unprompted. That kind of generosity from an employee is rare and really touched me. He went so far above and beyond what was expected of him. I left feeling really uplifted, and honestly, that's not something you expect from a quick convenience store stop. This employee is a true asset to this location. They got the best candy in the world here, nothing better than a Joyride. Note: Oregon law says pumping your own gas is not illegal anymore so please make time to do. Seeing that this was a 7-Eleven, I also decided that on top of an energy drink, I also wanted a slurpee (no trip to 7-Eleven is complete without a slurpee!). My favorite energy drink brand is Ghost, but they had so many energy drink selections! My boyfriend just started drinking the Monster strawberry flavored energy drink, according to him it's his new favorite, and he was stoked to see that they had them in stock. I got myself the Ghost blue raspberry energy drink. The slurpee machine was tucked away in the back corner of the store, where I chose cherry, one of my favorite slurpee flavors.
