Called today this morning after 8 asking about an appointment for my dog who's experiencing allergy symptoms. Receptionist didn't seem to know what I was talking about when I said I'm previously from out of town and am trying to call vets in the area for an appointment to take him in to get checked out. Kept asking for a vet referral. Like I said, my vet is out of town. She said that they don't do emergency care (even though it says right on the website they do as in screenshot attached) but what I wanted was an appointment made to get him seen. She wasn't listening to what I was saying and said they don't take animals for emergency care they only take established patients. It says right on website that new patients are welcome. Again, as in screenshot. Don't have that on your site if it's not true. Also don't say you do emergency care if you don't. She also hung up on me before the conversation was done. Well, no matter, Back Mountain Veterinary will now get my services. They took the same information and were happy to get records from my out of town vet, didn't seem to care about that at all. Also were very courteous and made a same day appointment for my dog. So, my baby went to see them today instead.

Disrespect for dying animal. She (vet) made comical remarks while Tina was in pain dying. She predicted Tina would live a few more weeks with prednisone & she passed 2 days later crying out in pain. I feel so guilty for taking Tina to this vet. God forgive me.

Stubbs with a clean wrap from Plains. Great wound care!

Dr Damcot is a very caring vet. She really seems to care about her patients. Never received nothing but quality care from her.

A vet tech came running out, took Hank in her arms, and rushed him inside. When we left hours later, we truly didn't think we would be bringing him home again. It was a long, sleepless night, waiting for that dreaded phone call--one that, thankfully, never came. The next morning, a nurse told us Hank was off oxygen, and the doctor would be calling with his bloodwork--the same bloodwork that had been so abnormal it couldn't even be properly measured because he was so sick. Then the doctor called with the news we had been hoping and praying for: Hank was doing incredibly well. She wanted to keep him through the afternoon for monitoring, but he would be coming home. We cannot thank this staff enough for saving our Hank. Not only did they save his life, but they also gave our little boy so much love and care while he was their patient. We will forever be grateful and cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, The Woodruff Family

Jerry's daughter took over the practice after her father passed. We have taken 4 dogs and nearly 10 cats over the years to her, the last two showed up at our house with terrible eye infections, and have to have the eyes removed. But, it saved them, so it needed to be done. We lost our girl, Molly a month ago. Molly had a torn ACL at an early age, and got arthritis, and started to gain weight. She then put her on a special diet, which was over $100 a bag, which was high in protein, causing more weight gain. The bottom line, she was heavy, and could not lose weight. Anyway, my wife found another dog for our lab to play with at a rescue, and we decided as a family, to go for it. We used All About Animals as our vet reference, and the next day our visit was cancelled because the rescue was told by Dr. Mcdonald that we overfeed our pets. WTF? Our kids are skinny, our 5 cats are skinny, and our remaining dog is skinny. But are one dog was heavy, and had the medical reasons to back it up. What a shitty thing to do to two little kids who took the loss of their dog very hard, but were excited to move on and give another dog a chance. Please do yourself a favor, and look elsewhere for a vet. Her father would have never done that, and I hope some day she answers for it. Stay away.

I boarded my dog here in June and was absolutely disgusted. When I picked him up he had a deep scratch down his nose. I assumed it was from a run-in with another dog and no big deal so I ignore and take him out to the car. When I go to lift him in he smelled so strongly like cleaning product and was covered with poop on his rear (this has never happened at home, he is a large dog). I go inside to ask for a paper towel or something to clean him up and no one comes out so after standing there for a few minutes I just leave and go put him in my car. He had mass amounts of hair coming off him so I give him a bath as soon as we get home and notice he has an ear infection (hasn't had one since he left the pound) and his paw paws are peeling off and cracking I can't even imagine what would cause this. He used to go into his crate no problem and it took 3 days for him to willingly go into his crate again. When I initially left for vacation and contacted them for an update it took 48+ hours to respond. This isn't just unacceptable it's boarder line animal abuse. I would never, under any circumstances take my dog there again.
