    Baklava!!

Wow! Food was great, service was friendly! This is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is very simple and not fancy, but the food is authentic and amazing. We had chicken wrap and gyro plate. Both with side salads and baklava. We will be back for sure!

I really wanted to love the food since the lady in the parking lot hyped up the place. The employees were very kind and friendly. It smelled good inside, but it's kind of like a cafeteria. I got the combo plate and my chicken was really dry. I also was expecting the Greek meatball to be more like a keftede with a lamb beef mix, but it tasted more like an Italian meatball to me. It was also in a sweet tomato sauce. It was good, but it didn't taste Greek to me. The lamb/beef gyro meat was fine and the pita tasted fresh and hot. The spanakopita tasted like it was sitting for a while. The Greek salad dressing didn't taste like a Greek dressing either. It's just not what I'm used to when I think of Greek food. It reminded me a little of festival food. I wish I could give more stars, but maybe I just came on a bad day.

Just moved to the neighborhood and in search of a good local restaurant! Plaka Greek Cafe is definitely worth the try. I would come back time and time again. The food was very good, I'm a vegetarian so they had three different options, which didn't feel like a lot but the food was clean, didn't feel greasy or anything. The ladies serving the food are super nice and smiley, I've got happy vibes. It's a humble establishment and has a small family biz ambiance. Friendly and clean. If you are in the area, you should try it out!

This is a hidden gem place for Greek restaurant! I love the vegetarian options here and personally the falafels are the best! Come try it out! :)

I got a gyro wrap, and unfortunately the meat was dry and kind of flavorless. The Taziki definitely needed more garlic, lemon and salt. Service was quick and the inside was clean. But the food was definitely lacking flavor.

Dolmas - 4 to a plate. Yep, we snagged 2 of them asap!! Best dolmas ever

Outstanding Greek food. The dolmas are literally the best ever and so huge, full of rice AND meat. Any plate will be excellent. The combo platters are a great way to sample the many items. Combo #8 highly recommend. Pro tip, combos come with soup or salad- get one of the savory soups. Pot roast combo plate Greek style is just wow. Small cafe. Walk in, they serve you cafeteria style but do not let that dissuade you. Great service. High marks!!

#16 Create Your own Combo. Gyros, House Feta Salad & my wife's Spicy Bean Soup, Meatball, Falafel, Spanikopita, w/ Pita & Tzatziki Sauce.

Over a decade ago, the best Greek restaurant in Austin left Colorado Street and moved to Georgetown. It's odd to think that the best Greek food in the region isn't in a major city but in it's 'burbs. The properly prepared ethnic dishes are served cafeteria style and are all as good as you'll find anywhere in America. They have daily specials like Lamb Shanks. The help is friendly, expeditious, and very helpful to those who may be unfamiliar with Greek fare. Everything is made fresh daily with loving care. There is heart, soul, and family in every bite. Take a drive to Georgetown and see for yourself what I have known for years.

Living in Dallas I've been to some great Mediterranean and Greek restaurants and this one was just okay. It is a buffet style restaurant and servers serve you your meal on a plate so you can come in quickly grab a plate and be out in 15-30 mins. I ordered the combination plate which came with pita and we dined in. I just didn't like the food it didn't taste flavorful or fresh. The meatballs tasted like they were frozen and the chicken was extremely extremely dry. We had to cover the chicken with tzaziki sauce in order to eat it without choking. The spinach pie wasn't bad and the pita was delicious. It was so fresh and it redeemed the whole meal. As soon as you walk in everything looks so outdated like the restaurant is stuck in the 90s. It's not bad but it just seems odd for a busy buffet style restaurant. I feel like the owners need to invest in the restaurant and update the place especially the bathrooms. I hope this place can get a little TLC, revise its menu and upgrade the place and it would be a great place to dine at.

One of the most authentic experiences I've had in Austin!…read more Small, homey seating inside but lots of lovely patio space outside. The woman at the front counter was lovely and recommended a Greek white wine for us, which was incredible. The food was top-notch. Super fresh and homemade baba ganoush and tzatziki sauce. Pitas were warm. Meat was juicy and flavorful. As we finished our meals, she brought out a piping hot plate of the Greek beignets - warm doughballs drizzled with honey and cinnamon - on the house. Would definitely return!

OMG. This place is soooooo cute!!! We came for dinner and ordered their chicken and lamb plates…read more Both came with a generous serving of protein, salad, hummus, and 2 dolmades (?), which, according to google, are stuffed grape leaves that are served as appetizers, usually has a filling consisting of rice, herbs, oil, and meat. They cook their meat perfectly and not a lot of places can do that. My husband took photos for me, but it won't let me upload onto yelp due to heic tags vs jpg....Anyway.. Love the food and the atmosphere. Staff were friendly and nice. They even gave us a plate of beignets on the house! Super affordable prices! This little house, I'm assuming turned greek restaurant is so cozy and homey. The only thing is it's so far from us! But that won't stop us from coming again. Definitely, definitely recommend!

There is a kiosk that you place your order and yes, it's NO CASH (unfortunately). The ordering process was easy and simple and our food came out within 15 minutes, hot and ready to eat! I got the Quezzadila with Chicken, y'all... this is the one. My wife got the Gyro Bowl which was also delicious. The cost seemed pricey at first but with the amount of food we received, we can split it into 2 meals. There's only outdoor seating and because it's hot outside, most people ate inside of their car. I'll definitely be back!

I wanted this place to be 5 stars so bad…read more It blends my two favorite food genres: Greek and Mexican. They prioritize the same food standards that I do: grass-fed dairy and beef products and they don't use seed oils! That's definitely worth stars and we need more food options with these standards. That's why I'm so sad that the food was so underwhelming. I got a burrito and their fries. I immediately regretted the fries and wish I could have my $5 back. They are pale, limp, and taste like boiled potatoes. Had to include a photo to try and communicate how much french fry flavor was not on these fries. And the best word to describe the burrito is... chaotic? Which is kind of the vibe they're going for with their branding and can totally work. But I mean chaotic in like a choking hazard way haha. I added oven roasted cherry tomatoes and kalamata olives to my burrito. They were both just thrown in WHOLE! I laughed out loud when I discovered two big honkin' tomatoes (barely cooked) just chilling in the burrito. There's no way for the flavors to mingle and get to know each other when it's just a bunch of large chunks of food. I think this would have been an awesome burrito if the tomatoes and olives were chopped and could play together. All in all, the meat and sauces are great. Skip the fries for sure. I want this place to work so bad I will most likely go back and try a bowl. The burrito just didn't work. Sad ZIKI!
