I haven't been to this location in a few years, and I feel it's changed some. We ordered the American nachos for our appetizer, and it was tasty but not very hot. The dish came out warm. I like my food to come out at the proper temperature. Our burgers were good. I had the veggie burger and it was flavorful. We ordered the cookie sundae to share for dessert and again the cookie wasn't warm. It was also hard and tasted a little stale. Yummy pickles on the table! Our server was attentive and friendly. I ordered the burger salad and my bestie ordered a burger that was no longer on the menu, but they made it for her anyway! The daily $3 beer special was a Grey Sails Flying Jenny!! Awesomeness! My burger salad was delicious. Not a vegetarian friendly staff. Ordered the Philly with plant based burger online and got it with steak on top of the burger. The description online wasn't clear that the steak was in addition to the burger and instead of checking with me, they just put the meat. Had a bite of the beef and had meat stuck in my teeth. Vegetarians will understand that it's a gross feeling for us. Tried to just remove the beef but by then I already didn't feel like eating and the whole box smells like beef to me. The chain might be vegetarian friendly that's why they have plant based available, but not that useful if this location doesn't train their staff to be mindful to vegetarians, nevermind vegans as they don't have vegan cheese options. Still gave the experience a 3 star, but had to change it to 1 star because the manager decided to make the experience worse - didn't want to take any responsibility for the mistake, not even an understanding that the description was confusing. I already said above that the chain maybe vegetarian friendly, but a vegetarian friendly trained staff would question putting meat on a plant based burger. Definitely a once a month/every two months kind of place. Sometimes we find the burger to be on the dry side, but still a delicious freshly made burger. Their nachos are delicious as well. I've been to 3 of the Plan B locations many times over the years (Stamford, WeHa, and Milford). This location is by far the worst out of the ones I've frequented. Luckily the food never disappoints and, Bc this location is now the closest one to my home, I will continue to come here when I have a hankering for their offerings. But the service is hella slow, the place is always dirty, and there is one working stall in the women's restroom (the other one doesn't have a lock on the door) and when you sit on the toilet (if you are a normal sized person or larger) the right side of your body gets wedged behind the toilet paper dispenser. This overall experience was pretty good but I had to knock off a star because of the squealing baby noise coming from the dining section and the plethora of tiny people (kids) in the bar section. I don't really want to have to say "ear muffs" when I'm trying to enjoy a burger and beer. I'm not swearing like a pirate, but some conversation just feels uncomfortable when you have a family right next to you. Having so many kids around made it feel like a Chili's or TGIFridays. The food was awesome though. Had the squealer burger (1/2 beef / 1/2 pork) and the steak. Service was great and the food came out in a fair amount of time. Great beer selection on tap. Goose Island Sofie is sooooo good once it hits your lips. As someone with a gluten allergy, I loved being able to order a few foods that I am rarely able to have. Burgers, chicken tenders and tater tots! All of it was great. I could not finish my burger after starting the meal off by splitting a 1/2 order of tenders with my boyfriend. I wasn't able to finish the tots either, but boy did I want to. Nothing was super greasy, which is a good sign. We requested to eat outside for extra comfort in terms of feeling safe in COVID times. They have a few tables with umbrellas on the sidewalk. My 2nd time visiting. First time I was floored. I don't know if it was the stunning space or the fact they had plenty of interesting vegetarian options that happened to be really, really good. Second time was o.k. The food didn't knock my socks this time. But the horseradish was not detected in the blue cheese. The turkey burger- which I had Baja style was all white meat, moist, flavorful & perfectly grilled. My man loved his beef burger med rare w American cheese on a fresh pretzel roll & side of baby greens & we shared the truffle fries which are thin, light & pretty good but not a hardy frie & definitely not frozen. After walking in, we didn't see a hostess. So, we decided to head towards the bar and one of the waitresses said it was no problem to choose where we would like to sit. After picking our table, the same waitress immediately came and brought us menus and took our orders. A few things I like about the place is the comfort and relative calmness. There is a good vibe at this location. I ordered the Baja burger with a little pink, pepper jack, and well done fries. We didn't have to wait very long for the order, as we waited no more than 10 minutes for the food to arrive. Our waitress served us complementary homemade pickles...they were clearly not from a jar bought from a store. The cucumbers slices were soaked in a simple picking juice, and the few I had were good. Apparently, the hamburger meat, which comes from grass fed hormone free cows, is ground at the restaurant no more than 20 minutes before the making the burger. The patty was perfect and I could tell it was just made, as it was not perfectly round. The size was quite thick. The delivered burger was tall. The fries were hot, lightly salted, crispy, and tender inside. Our waitress was very engaging, attended to our needs, and helped to make our visit pleasurable. Plan B nailed my first gourmet CT burger experience. Went with a group of 6 the day after Christmas (yes somehow I managed to muster up the room in my gut) for some juicy burgers. I was promised a memorable experience by my company, who used to frequent this spot many times, and was not disappointed. We were supposed to be a party of 8, and surprisingly, this wasn't an issue when we requested our table (we arrived at 11:45, so pretty much getting toward the peak of lunch time). The hostess was very friendly and showed us right to our spacious table. Turns out 2 of our party was unable to make it but the staff didn't give us a hard time about the table being for 8 and rearranged it to make it better suited for our party of 6. Beer selection was definitely noteworthy and I coated my pre burger belly with an old Rasputin. Only $5.50 for a draft !? Score. Our server was prompt in bringing our drinks and didn't rush us to put in our order. Now for the meat of my review. HA! Oh that burger. I opted for the 3 shrooms burger and added a fried egg to it. I chose the sweet potato fries as my side. The fact that I could actually taste the truffle aoli was pretty much enough to seal the deal for me. The meat was great. I got mine "with pink" and it was juicy as anything. The only thing that didn't knock my socks off was the bun it came on. It was just your average white bun, which didn't match the quality of such a great burger. Fries were average but the review is on the burger bar right? ;) Overall, definitely would return. I went here because I'm a fan of the one in Glastonbury, and I am hoping that the flaws I found in service are just due to the fact that it's new, and just opened. We waited forever for a table on a Wednesday night, and sat there for a good 15 minutes before someone came over to greet us. Our server could not identify any of the beers on tap, let alone describe them. The food, however, is definitely up to par. People keep saying it's not as good as Prime 16, but as a patron of both, I find the actual burger at Plan B to be far better due to the fact that it's all organic, ground daily on the premises, and hand formed. Parking is easy since it's in a plaza - we almost drove by it. I think it's just so new and not well established, so people are expecting something that it takes time to develop. However, I do hope that the next time we try the MIlford location they've gotten their act together, but even if they haven't, my husband loves the burgers so much that I might not have a choice. read more

I've been to Plan B Burger Bar twice, the first time about a year ago, and then again a couple of weeks ago. I remember really liking it the first time, so I'm not sure why it took so long for me to visit again, but once again, it did not disappoint. They offer a huge variety of burgers, ranging from beef, to chicken, to fish, to veggie. They also let you select to have your burger on a bun or "in the grass" aka a bed of lettuce greens. The menu also includes appetizers, salads and some larger pasta and meat dishes. There is an extensive beer menu as well. Unfortunately, at my most recent visit my choices were limited, as I was on a very specific diet for my health. The waitress was very accommodating and put in special requests for my order and frequently checked to make sure I had what i needed. I am stuffed and happy! So glad to finally make it here after all these years. I've wanted to come for a long time, but the location is dwarfed by other restaurants and I never made it here. A far cry from MANY other establishments. I went simple with, a plain salad and wings: hot and garlic Parmesan. I wish I had know the garlic Parmesan was so good or I wouldn't have split my order but there's always next time . The wings were hot, fresh and tasty as hell. I'm not saying the hot wings were not good, but the garlic was excellent. My salad was beautiful and fresh, but drowned in dressing. They promptly brought me another one with a smile. That salad had all of the necessaries: chickpeas, fresh greens, Cherry tomatoes...only thing missing was some red onion. My waitress asked me if I wanted dessert and the descriptions had me salivating. I decided on the cheesecake parfait with some kind of house made beer flavor. The flavors were wonderful and the whipped cream, homemade. After I ate the first half, it was dry...I can't fathom why, but I asked for more whipped cream and Melissa brought me a bowl. I love Plan B. I've never had to wait long even at busy times. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive. Plan B is both good for a casual lunch with mom and a night out for drinks with friends. The menu is not overwhelming but plenty of choices.
