I can't recommend buying through this dealership. I bought a 2012 Mercedes roughly 6 months ago and the car is a dying piece of garbage. I still owe over $13,000 for this car and the only way to keep it running is a completely new engine. The car was also having issues just a month after purchasing. A friend of mine bought a Lexus from here over a year ago and they also bought a faulty car that broke down 6 months after purchasing. They seem to sell a lot of faulty lemons.

    Just bought the car

I just bought this car and was happy about my it, but I got a broken seat unbelievable.

The sales man was a little rude to me when trying to negotiate pricing on a vehicle I purchased. Otherwise I'd give this place 5 stars. Love my car so much, normal wear and tear on the vehicle when I first purchased, other than that no complaints. Would come here again for another vehicle!

Ok, so I just got a slamming deal on a Land Rover from Planet Auto. I wasn't looking for anything expensive, and frankly I needed to buy something with cash, so this car seemed perfect. Phillip helped me out, and he's a stand up guy. Really enjoyed the conversation, and especially the candor. I'll be frank -- I have worked for the slimiest, most depraved auto dealer in Utah, so I know my way around gimmicks, double speak, and bull crap. The guys were 100% honest with me, and when they realized I knew the industry, they backed up their honesty with information proving their good faith in the deal. These guys don't buy wrecked cars (FYI - auto history reports are a joke - most the used cars you've bought have been wrecked), they price more accurately to the market, and their family is the good sort (look at my last name -- I could be going to my family's dealerships). Anyway, stand up operation. Much applause. On a personal note -- thank you...life has been tough lately, and you guys were very respectful of that.

Absolutely outstanding!!! We called to on a car and we put in our loan application. The next day they called us and said the test drive would take longer than paperwork! And sure enough the test drive took longer than the paperwork! They had the car ready when we arrived as well as the paper work when we returned from the test drive! Staff was extremely amazing and they didn't pressure us one little bit! I would definitely recommend buying a car from these guys. Amazing to work with, fast, easy, and incredible deals! Thanks!

So this is an auto dealership with a service center & a car wash. When I purchased my auto there a…read moreyear ago I purchased their maintenance package, I was also told that the auto purchase came with free unlimited basic washes at their car wash. Within three months I was told that was no longer the case, I would get one free car wash a month & they wanted me to purchase a car wash package--it was at this time that they were also opening the car wash up to the public. They tried to tell me I had just misunderstood but my parents who had purchased their auto in 2021 were also told they would now be limited to 1 free car wash per month after 4 years of free unlimited basic car washes. Well, about three months ago I did purchase their Premier package on a supper cheep deal that they said was only being offered to those who had purchased cars at the dealership. Figured this was how they were trying to keep disgruntled customers happy. It was supposed to come with the wheel shine cleaning & undercarriage & until that point the car wash had been doing a fabulous job of cleaning the auto. That has been rapidly diminishing ever since & I am now canceling that package. My car is just not getting clean when I go through the wash. I don't know if the little computer board they push has a dealership setting & a membership package setting or if the car wash is just getting so much use that the matinance is just not able to keep up or what? I do know I just washed my car & then spen 25 min & used about eight of the provided microfiber cloths as well as a bottle of water that I brought with me in order to finish cleaning my car after it had been through the car wash. And it was more than just the wheels. There was dirt in the window seems, dirt in the panel seems, as it dried there were water spots, & then there were the wheels. The light for the wheel cleaner came on but I am not sure it worked & I haven't heard the undercarriage spray in at least a month. If I bring it up they will likely just say I misunderstood that as well & only the Elite wash has it. We're going into the winter months. There will be salt on the road. I am going to need a car wash that actually cleans my vehicle. And there's also the fact that I feel more than a little gypped from being told I was going to get unlimited free car washes when I purchased my vehicle to that being reneged upon. I also have heard that the owner operator spends a bit less time on location or on the floor when he is & a lot more time doing other administrative duties. Well when the cat's away...

Here's the experience I had with Murdock Hyundai in Lindon a few days ago, as I explained it in an…read moreemail to them. (No one has responded.) Really frustrating experience this morning. Last week I had about $1200 worth of repairs done. No problem there. But you guys needed to order a part to complete one of those repairs, and a pretty simple one -- the replacement of my brake-fluid reservoir cap. I was told that I'd get a notification when the part arrived and that I should just bring the car in at that point and it would get taken care of while I waited. What no one told me was that this repair hadn't been included in what I'd already paid. When I arrived this morning, I was told the repair would cost another $69. I asked how bad the leak was, thinking that it may or may not be worth spending $69 to fix. The service consultant and I went out and looked at my car together, and he showed me that there was a considerable amount of dried buildup around the reservoir cap. Fair enough. At this point, though, I could see that replacing the cap was going to require precisely zero expert labor. So I thought to ask whether a labor charge was included in the estimate. He said yes, but didn't say how much. So I asked how much, and he said $30. I asked if I could just pay for the new reservoir cap and screw it on myself. He said yes, so I went back to the parts department, paid $33 for the reservoir cap, took it to my car and put it on. That was a bit frustrating. I feel like the only reason I saved half the cost of this "repair" was that it occurred to me to ask explicitly for information that the service consultant should have volunteered. But then, when I got to work, I thought to check Amazon for the price of compatible brake-fluid reservoir caps, and found that I could have gotten an off-brand one (perfectly suitable for my needs) for about $6. Now, I realize that a Hyundai dealership has to use real Hyundai parts. Whatever. But if you guys had a better service orientation, your consultant would have said to me "Look, you can spend $69 to have us order a Hyundai part and then screw it on for you. Or you can buy a $6 replacement cap on Amazon that will work just fine, and screw it on yourself." I'll be much more careful and cautious in dealing with you guys in the future.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Doug Smith Kia…read more On June 15, I brought my 2023 Kia EV6 to the dealership for two warranty concerns: two pieces of exterior trim were falling off, and my over-the-air navigation updates were not working. I was told the trim parts would be ordered, a USB drive would be obtained for the navigation update, and someone would call me when everything was ready. Six weeks passed, and I never received a single phone call. I then called the dealership myself and left three separate messages, none of which were ever returned. While I was away on a trip, my car was parked in an airport parking garage. When I returned, the left rear camera had fallen back into the bumper. I took it to Doug Smith Kia expecting a warranty evaluation. The technician's own inspection video states that the camera bracket had separated from the bumper. However, I was then told by the service parts manager that the bracket had been "tampered with" and was therefore not covered under warranty. No convincing evidence was provided to support that claim, yet I was charged nearly $600 for the repair. To make matters worse, the original reason I brought the vehicle in still hasn't been resolved. The dealership was unable to complete the navigation update, even using their own equipment. So after multiple visits, weeks of waiting, ignored phone calls, and nearly $600 out of pocket, I still have a navigation system that doesn't function properly. The most frustrating part of this experience wasn't just the cost--it was the complete lack of communication and accountability. Promises to call were never kept. Messages were never returned. Warranty concerns were dismissed without a satisfactory explanation. I expected far better service from a Kia dealership. I chose Kia because I believed I was buying a quality vehicle backed by quality service. Unfortunately, this experience has seriously damaged my confidence in both Doug Smith Kia and the Kia brand.
