Music is way too loud. If my ear pods are on full blast and I can hear the gyms music. It's too loud! The cleaning spray smells like cat pee. It's gross. The employees are not helpful. I have "had" a billing problem with my account and no one could help me. I asked 3 times. I updated my bank info on the app. That didn't help, I find it odd because my debit card was charged. The next day I got a call from the 1800 number from ABC accounting needing my bank info. If your app isn't working that isn't my problem. At this point it's harassment! When I signed up for my membership I added my debt card info and my bank account. Nothing has changed. Not sure why I keep getting calls and emails regarding my account even tho I'm still seeing charges on my bank account! Fix it. read more

Posting this for my husband who just got back from a workout this morning. He's very frustrated with the lack of care by employees. Majority of the bikes were out of order today. 2 people reported it to the desk and were told they were aware and acted like they were annoyed to be told again. They finally put out of service signs on them. He understands that issues arise sometimes but the attitude of the employees is unacceptable. Whatever happened to courteous customer service? The gym/equipment is nice on the inside. I'm slightly surprised they play Hannity and Tucker Carlson and kind of brash guys like that, but then again it's borderline North Clovis sooo what can you expect. Honestly really liked it there, but they made it so hard for me to end my membership, it's so ridiculous. I moved out of town and they made it as inconvenient as possible to cancel. Even the manger acknowledged that this is a common complaint. I love this planet fitness location. It's the best one in the Central Valley. The staff is friendly and welcoming. It's 24 hours every day so I am able to go in the mornings or late nights after work. The night staff mark and alex are especially welcoming and helpful in assisting me in any questions or troubles I may have. Their trainer Orlando is always ready to assist club members in achieving theIr health and fitness goals with a energetic attitude. The manager Walter always listens when I have a question or need help with something. Overall this location has a great atmosphere and is the ultimate judgement free zone. Everyone is welcome no matter shape or size from beginner to advanced. There is something for everyone. I recommend this Planet Fitness location in Clovis over all other ones. read more

I do like this gym still and do go but was disappointed to learn that this chain has a relationship with Febreze. I saw an ad on the plasma TV saying we are supposed to combat gym odor with Febreze. Question: Does anyone known what Febreze is made out of? But that's an aside. Also, we are supposed to spray our machines down with a mysterious pink substance. I would continue to give this gym a 5/5 if it didn't promote the use of synthetic, potentially carcinogenic chemicals, to clean machines & combat gym smells. EMPLOYEE STOLE MONEY FROM ME One of the employees here rang up something (a water bottle for $5) on my account which was connected to my credit card 45 minutes after the gym closed on a Sunday. Called the gym the next morning and the person 'in charge' said they would talk to their manager about it and give me a call back. Never heard back from anyone. Went back into the gym 2 weeks later to cancel my membership and the manager was there. He said he had never heard anything about it and the girl who was 'in charge' the day I called in was standing there also. I remember who was working behind the desk that night and described her (looks Mexican, ugly ass face) to them (they knew who I was talking about). The manager said he would 'talk to her about it' and that a note about the incident probably 'got lost'. When I asked the girl who I spoke on the phone with why she didn't tell her manager she said 'uhh I think I did'. I was surprised the girl who stole money from me still worked there. Don't you think hearing about and being able to look up the computer that an employee of yours is STEALING money from a customer should be taken a lot more seriously? Either this place has incompetent employees or there are multiple people in on stealing money from people. This is a joke of an establishment and I wouldn't recommend anyone to go near this place. read more

The gym and staff was fine. After they closed for covid lockdowns they made it impossible for me to cancel my account, as I had no online account set up and I moved away from clovis. I tried calling for several months and then gave up. When they finally reopened they hit me with the annual fee and a monthly fee and when I called to cancel they refused to refund either. $70 for nothing. read more

Dropped in here for a few workouts today (visiting from out of town) reluctantly having seen reviews. I thought it was awesome. The staff were super friendly and helped me get my day pass, it was clean, not super packed (930am & 6pm), the machines were in good shape, and the weights were heavy. If I lived here I'd sign up for sure. If you're a gym rat and need a place to lift, there were a few waits for racks but nothing I'm not used to at my home gym. I'm new to the area but was glad to see a Planet Fitness near me. I typically go at night. Night staff is always friendly, they greet me when I show up and always say bye. Occasionally I do see machines out of service with the signs on but typically they don't last more than a few days. A lot of self wipe down stations around which is good. Overall I enjoy going, just get my workout done and go. Definitely not as bad as some of these reviews are making it out to be. read more

My experiences at this gym are always positive. The staff is always friendly and I am usually greeted by name when I arrive. I go very early in the morning and the overnight staff is awesome. The facility is very clean and if I see something that is out I let the staff know. My only negative comment is I wish they would go back to 24/7. Planet Fitness gets a bad rep in general but I don't mind it at all. It's a gym and has all the necessary equipment I need to get my pump on. It's clean; hardly That busy (compared to nearby gyms) and the entire staff is so friendly. This gym helps stray away all the lame guys trying to get attention while screaming out loud while lifting no weight, thank you Planet Fitness!! I do wish that there were more lying leg press machines or Mtn V squat machine, heavier barbels, a dual cable delt machine and a hip thrust machine but that's just me and my wish list. The only reason I didn't put 1 star is because the equipment here is very adequate for a 10$ a month gym. The reason I put 2 stars is because of pervert women. They are always looking at me when I workout which I don't appreciate because you go to the gym to get fit. You go to the club or bar to look for a date and this rude behavior has no place at Planet Fitness. It is even more infuriating when you are single and active, looking for something and someone serious when all these little girls stare but don't want/too scared to get involved. I started at this gym just a couple weeks ago and everything was going well until tonight. Tonight I witnessed a couple working out across the "30 minute workout" room, the male partner was recording a stranger during his workout and sending it to his partner across the room while laughing at the stranger. The stranger didn't seem to notice as he was focused on his workout, as we all should have been. This encounter really goes against the gyms "no judgement" policy and definitely makes me uncomfortable going as a single female. We're all adults here trying to better ourselves, I don't want to be looking over my shoulder my whole workout trying to see if someone's recording me for giggles on their Snapchat. I'm no longer comfortable going here and plan on canceling my membership with this particular location. The employees don't seem to care at all. read more

Poor customer service from management and staff. We received incorrect information while signing up for a contract. The manager seemed like it was a chore to help us and didn't offer any real solutions. The regional manager had to get involved in order for him to help us. He begrudgingly "Rewrote" our account (a half baked solution he probably could have offered when we first explained our issue) It was the most uncomfortable interaction. It felt like someone was putting a gun to his head in order for him to help us. Also, we were still charged a fee - which the regional manager failed to include in his heartfelt voicemail to us. Just left the gym and a big dude walked in with his tiny dog who was not wearing a leash, collar or service vest. I walked up to the desk and asked Allison if dogs are allowed in the gym. She said service dogs are and he was a service dog. She proceeded to argue with me, wouldn't give me the manager's name or number. She WAS PETTING THE FREAKING DOG. One does not pet a service dog while they're working. Ever. Then she proceeded to let the man and his dog go in the tanning bed. With no leash. I will never be going back. read more

I had a flat tire coming out from the gym and waited for AAA to arrive and in that time, an employee came out with water and offering help from her coworkers to change the tire. This is the cleanest PF I've ever been to. Not only PF it's probably the cleanest gym in general. I pay well over $150 a month for my "fancy" gym back home in Texas and this place is a million times cleaner! All the equipment is in perfect condition and I constantly see people cleaning. I really like this gym. The staff is awesome and friendly, the place is clean. One thing I wish they'd do is keep better tabs on what people wear to workout. Most of the things that were on the don't not wear list, I see on a daily basis. My question is why doesn't everyone have to follow the rules? Today was what made me write in. A guy was there in his work clothes! We're talking straight from a construction site! Dusty, dirty, wearing work boots. Blue uniform type pants, filthy and an orange neon work shirt also filthy. I shouldn't have to breath the dust from his job site. The 'Lunks'? I've seen them there too, dropping weights, gallon water jugs, the whole bit. On a positive note, Orlando the trainer is awesome! Mad props to him. He's spread a little thin with all his classes and what not, but dedicated he is and care he does! read more

This NEW review is due to an interaction we just had!!! I am so annoyed that I CAN NOT WAIT FOR CRUNCH TO OPEN! My wife is currently unable to use the membership and we put her account on a medical hold. It's been three months and we were told that her account would auto cancel if we couldn't remove her. Well...that didn't happen. We were charged and so we stopped by and were told that the girl helping us that didn't know what to do and to come back next week sometime and that we would need to show her our bank statement to prove we were charged because the dues are not charged until the 17th. IT'S THE I told her...I don't need to show you my bank statement you can look on our account and see that we were charged. WHAT THE HELL...why I am I walking her through this process???? So your telling me that NO ONE can help us? So then this girl asked the guy, I think his name was Victor, if he could help us. He said hold on and walked away! All the while, this girl is giving us reasons why she can't help us and why we just needed to come back. Customer Service is EVERYTHING and today was an example of why someone else will get my monthly membership!!! STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY!!!! Still being charged my membership when I cancelled three months ago and on top of that I have to call and speak to the manager every month and deal with this every month. I'm now going to call my bank, call their corporate office and go the the BBB...I'm done dealing with the local gym because the managers don't do anything! Okay, to be fair I was in love with this gym when we first signed up, but sadly I haven't gone to the gym in awhile because I want more options than what Planet Fitness is offering. GB3 is wildly expensive. Cycle bar asks for your first born to be a member, so planet fitness was the perfect option and for an affordable price. The problem is, I am bored. I've been getting creative on my own, but recently drove by a new crunch gym being opened, they are $8 more a month, but offer a bigger gym that include HIIT classes, spin classes, full size track and all the same fun extras like tanning, hydro massage that PF offers. Unfortunately, due to the lack of options we switched and will be canceling our membership at the renewal period and moving forward with Crunch. PF, start offering more options, classes, new ideas to keep people interested and I would have definitely stayed. read more

I signed up yesterday for a VIP membership and I went today to work out for my 1st time and the manager Fatima was extremely rude! She told me what I signed up was a misinformation and too bad. Would not cancel my membership unless I spoke to the main manager. Yet she told me she was the manager! I just joined this gym yesterday through my healthcare provider and my first impression isn't great. Upon arrival I was barely greeted and as I was signing up the representative would interrupt my transaction to help other customers check in and he would answer the phone. Finally he called for help. I wasn't offered a tour and I had to ask about the exercise rooms for classes and locker rooms but staying behind the desk he just pointed in the direction of things. If this wasn't attached to my healthcare and based solely on my first impression I wouldn't join this gym. I joined only because I want see how the gym is, whether I'd like working out there or not, etc. So for that reason only I will give it a try read more

The gym is very clean and has a few extra machines that the others don't have. They have great trainers. My problem is that they now want you to book your classes on line and build your own program on line. I have booked a few times on the app and each time I have went looking for the trainer. He stated he was not aware that I signed up and was already busy with other people. I spoke with a staff member about this and was informed that the online schedule is not the same as the actual schedule they have at the gym. He told me even signing up on the app does not put me down for a class that I will still need to call the gym to schedule. This makes no sense since we as a class were told to only schedule on line. I also viewed the app with the trainer and it had him scheduled when he wasn't even working.The app also lets you schedule weeks in advance and it shows all the build your own program full. Per the gym they want you to schedule the day of the class or training session. They need to fix this issue. read more
