The facility is clean & in good repair. I'm unable to give any info about the pool area, as it has been unusable/under construction the entire time we've lived here -- but it looks promising! If you like basketball, group exercise classes or are in need of a trainer, Smith will definitely be a good fit for you!! The trainers, front desk staff and employees are all helpful and friendly. The Yelp business info lists Smith Gym as "good for kids", but I'd have to disagree with that, as I don't believe they have on-site childcare. I have seen people bring their kid and sit them on the floor next to their bench/machine... don't be that person. Overall, Smith Gym is a really nice resource & they're constantly working to improve it. The only issues you'll have here are related to the poor gym etiquette of other patrons -- but then again, they have to post signs to remind people not to spit on the floor, so what can you really expect?

Beginning the high-intensity interval training at Uncommon Athlete has been life changing. I feel no pressure. I am shocked by the often 1:1 attention I get from the coaches - I feel like I have a personal trainer. I enjoy the routines. My aches and pains are accomodated. My limits are pushed, by me and by the coaches. This is the first exercise regimen I have stuck with in more than 20 years. I haven't missed a week where I didn't get in my three classes. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, caring, courteous, and understanding. I cannot give a higher recommendation to this gym. If you need help, seek them out. If you are in a solo environment where you are now, switch to these guys. I you are in a toxic gym environment, leave now and seek out Uncommon Athlete. You will not regret it.

I'm in my mid 70's and decided if I want to live much longer, I'd better get more active. I know of so many older people who fall and break their hip, then die, I assume due to congestive heart failure. Ive not taken good care of myself, particularly with diet, sleep, and now exercise. My husband had being going to CrossFit CSG for 2 years with amazing results. Although he also started taking krav maga at the same time, I don't think he would have lasted without the custom conditioning and training provided by the gym owner, Joanne Cogle. Ms. Cogle has helped my husband regain his strength, lose weight, and get strong. I started going to her a few months ago and whereas I was starting to walk stooped and in pain, she has improved my balance, mobility, posture, and outlook tremendously, and the benefits of each visit are noticeable. I do have some issues that are systemic, but she works around those and helps me feel stronger and younger every week. So much so, that I recently taking personal ju jitsu lessons as well. Not only did they welcomed me but everyone one there a total of about 20-25 participant treated me as though I belonged there. What a work out it was. There equipment is top notch. Shortly after signing up, I was informed that the trainer I signed up for would no longer be providing those services and that I would be reassigned. After this major change, I attempted to cancel my agreement in writing within the required timeframe. I physically brought a written cancellation letter to the gym, but staff refused to process it and told me to come back later. I even have documentation and video of the interaction. Despite attempting to cancel and later disputing charges with my bank, I continued receiving repeated billing attempts, including multiple $200 charges at once under slightly altered billing descriptors. My experience was extremely stressful and frustrating, especially because I made multiple good-faith attempts to resolve the issue properly and professionally. I would strongly encourage future customers to carefully review all contract terms and cancellation policies before signing.

CrossFit Menawa advertises personal coaching on their website, so I did not think it would be the problem it became. I e-mailed CrossFit Menawa and they told me to come by and talk to Craig, the owner, about it. I dropped by several times on different days but Craig was never there. Staff would tell me to come back at a day and time Craig would be in, I would return then, and he still wouldn't be there. Then, even after I told the staff there I was only interested in some personal weightlifting coaching, not CrossFit classes, the staff still attempted to pressure me into the regular CrossFit classes. All I got was classic CrossFit sales pitch, which is fine, but is not why I was there. I don't know how attentive the staff can be if they ignore what you say and pressure you into something else. I would avoid this gym between it's absent owner, dismissive staff, and obvious bait and switch sales techniques.

After following North Columbus Fit Body Boot Camp for some time and saw the local transformation pics, I knew I had to sign up. Best decision for my health. I cancelled my membership last month and card linked to account because i heard he continue billing, which they did. I cancelled 2 days after my bimonthly payment of 32.50 and 30 days later i have emails saying i owe $113.98. They refuse to close account balance and will send me to collections. They have a variety of classes and dates/times. They have mats available or you can bring your own. They have props (blocks, blankets, straps, etc). There's a sauna and bathroom with a shower. They also offer massages. You can reserve a spot online, call, or walk in. They have different membership and drop in options. Military discount is also offered. Lots of parking.
