Very clean and well maintained. Jacob at the front counter is very friendly and regularly sweeps to out weights away and clean up the space.

Probably the best one I've been too. Everyone greets you and I've seen them giving people detailed tours along with helping the elderly navigate the machines. This is the only PF I've seen actually clean the machines and floor. You'd think Walnut Creek would do a better job like Concord, hopefully they'll get better like them. read more

Just a quick update for 2025. Last year they finally upgraded their machines. A lot better but the place gets packed. Parking lot has added surveillance cameras so not so many homeless park in the parking lot so that's another plus. Staff has always been nice at this location and continue to greet all that walk in. read more

From what I've seen of this gym over the last week, the negative reviews aren't valid. This gym is clean, staff is super nice, equipment is in good shape (mentionable but not complaint is the weird noise that adding "the extra" light weights (the 2, 5, etc) on the machine). I've been going as a plus one to the concord location but my PF gym location is walnut creek. There hasn't been any weird situations or creeps, there are some homeless in the parking lot but I haven't seen them bother anyone. read more

While I love the cost of this gym it has gotten disappointing. Broken equipment takes long to get fixed. None of the bikes have foot straps anymore, and the Wi-Fi has been down for over a month. It is hard to believe that a corporate account with Comcast has no pull to get the Wi-Fi fixed. I think they just are no longer paying for it. For someone who does not care about classes, it still meets all my needs equipment wise and nice people go here. Next day: well. What do you know. Mornings and early afternoon are well ran with cordial members and staff, gym is clean etc. However, the later it gets into the evening the more members do whatever they please with no intervention- slamming weights, congregating at equipment, bathroom and fountain cleanliness dips etc. I'm relatively unfazed by the slamming of weights and a few other things but it's palpable how much other members are off put by all of the above- I've seen some walk out. Evening team is highly approachable- when they acknowledge you. This is my home gym so I'll continue to come; however, I truly hope things turn around. read more

This is an update to my previous review in 2023. I am pleased to say that having gone back several times to this location recently, every issue I mentioned in my previous post has been addressed. Security cameras were added to the parking lot. Homeless encampments there are gone. The gym is clean. They added additional Smith machines, more racks of free weights, including lighter options that most people use. The yellow/circuit room has been repurposed with a completely different setup and new equipment. The layout is more functional and gives everyone more space to enjoy their workout. Overall, and especially for the extremely reasonable amount you pay for a PF membership, I'm upgrading my review to 5 stars. Props to whomever did the turnaround at this gym! I'll be back. read more

I had no idea that they were under new management.. but that was a mistake because the old manager was the nicest lady and the new manager is awful! She should not be working with the public. The owners had better get new management before they start losing all of their customers.. with times being as hard as they are and everyone tightening their belts.. customer service should be at the top of your list. I called on 3/10/26 to have my membership put on hold (@ the Concord location), I was told to email Lauren (the manager?). I did so on 3/12/26, and did not receive a response. I looked @ my bank acct today, and there was a charge for my monthly dues AND a late fee. I have tried calling all day today, and am immediately transferred to the voicemail that states "no one is available to take your call". What's is going on?! I want my money back, and a fee waiver for at least next month. I don't think that is too much to ask. And the PF customer service line is on EST, and only open until 4 pm (1 pm PST). They need to cap memberships at this place, specifically for minors. I've never been to a gym so busy and swarming with so many children. They are loud, hog machines and I heard a few making fun of a random member just working out. I get it, this is a cheap option so it would attract a younger crowd, but I don't know if it's worth the price to be around obnoxious kids. read more

This used to be a well maintained gym. The employees here are still helpful and courteous, but the maintenance has slid. For TWO MONTHS I have asked them to repair the end 2 recumbent bikes. In one ear out the other. The showers need serious attention; there is mold that needs steam cleaned. The sinks are usually a mess. I work out at this gym 4 to 5 times per week every single week, most of the regular workers know me and greet me with very kind smiles. Today I walk in there to get my normal workout routine in and this lady who I never seen before stopped me at the front desk asking me a bunch of questions. And she is basically telling me that I cannot work out there anymore this month, please keep in mind. Nobody has ever told me that or explain that to me, and she was talking to me like I was in the wrong and giving me certain looks like I was in the wrong as well and I really didn't appreciate that and it was extremely frustrating, so I just walked out and left!!! Whoever she is or whoever she calls herself, Upper management needs to speak to her about how to treat people and how to talk to people respectfully. and if that's not the case, then I will gladly cancel my membership and take my business somewhere else. I've only been going to this one for about a month, after my workout I like to use the Body Enhancement but several of the bulbs are burnt out, I told the staff at the desk but so far it has not been addressed, bulbs have not been replaced and that's the only Body Enhancement machine they have. So after a year and a half of going to the gym and only using the tanning services, I finally worked out on the gym equipment last night. I love that black card members can bring a guest for free. My bf came with me and we were there about 30 min around 7pm. I don't know if other PFs are similar but the spa area and locker rooms are super clean. However, the gym itself was packed, water bottles were empty and abandoned on machines,a bag of used Taco Bell sat at the feet of a chest press, and the 30 minute express workout room seems to serve as overflow for members who just want to sit on a single machine and take up space. Pretty much all the reasons I don't like gyms. I'll give it another shot but probably at another location. Staff here is always helpful and friendly though and the hydromassage at the end was clutch. read more

If I could give 6 stars I would. Let me start this out by saying I made a huge mistake. It's Easter and I dropped my keys in the stair master. They fell all the way in to a point that was completely unreachable. Im on the phone with AAA to get my car towed home when I was tapped on the shoulder. Manny and Jennifer to the rescue They immediately called their boss to figure out what to do. Grabbed the tool kit with me, and boom. Popped open a service door and got them out. This could have been a horrible situation in many different forms. The team here handled it. And I'm SO grateful. Rescue mission aside, I do genuinely love this little gym. Mostly kind humans, no waiting for any machines, always an open treadmill or a stair master, staff is always kind, and good parking. My new little spot for a long time, thanks y'all read more

I recently switched gym memberships because I was just not happy with the 24 hr Fitness at Sun Valley Mall. I signed up for the basic membership of $10/mo with an annual $39.99 fee. So far, the staff here has been more than friendly and willing to answer questions. The only complaint I have so far was that no one offered a tour of the facility when I first signed up so I ended up just wandering around to familiarize myself. The equipment for the most far are brand new and it has been rare for me to find any machines that are out of order. I have also not had any issues with being able to use the machines that I need when I need it. FYI there does not seem to be an area specifically for mat exercises (at least none that I have found). read more

My partner and I visited the Concord location, for the first time today. Phoenix who worked at the front desk, was AMAZING! She provided excellent customer service for the hydrobed, massage chairs, and purchase of gatorades. The gym was very clean and equipment was all in excellent condition. I really, really like this PF and have been neglecting to finish this long-overdue review, which has remained incomplete for more than a year when I joined this gym. While I have now moved away, I truly miss this place. The staff is super friendly and sweet, and it really felt like being part of a community when I was there. I loved that the front-end crew dressed up for Halloween and always answered questions and offered help when needed. The gym is only crowded during peak hours and parking is always doable and safe. Planet Fitness cleaning protocols were "Covid-friendly" long before the pandemic, so I would definitely feel confident and safe working out there regardless of whatever insane guidelines are in place. Everyone cleans and sanitizes before and after using equipment, and the staff cleans constantly as well. Thankfully, PF and other indoor gyms are finally open, so we can resume caring for our mental and physical health once again with our Planet Fitness friends. Miss y'all and am so grateful that I can traipse around the country and visit PF wherever I go! read more

Very friendly staff in the front. They always say hello and goodbye which is actually a nice touch compared to other gyms. They greet you and are kind. I've seen employees cleaning very often. The equipment that I use has always been in working order and plenty of space for other users. The area isn't too great and there are homeless people that hang around but I usually go in the mornings and have never had an issue. read more

I've noticed more cleaning of the gym space and bathrooms in recent weeks. This a medium sized gym so there's a wait time when it's crowded for free weights and weight-training equipment. This gym is nice and has all necessary equipment to maintain your body. I frequent the Antioch location and the Antioch location gets 5 stars all the way! The Concord location on the other hand is dirty. I counted 6 employees all standing around watching the manager sit at a table and play on her laptop. She had a long Orange extension cord strung across the floor (tripping hazzard) and every time someone would walk by she would hide whatever she was doing on her tablet or computer (she was using both). That's a clear sign that she's not working. I wouldn't be so upset if I hadn't been there for 2.5 hours in such a dirty gym. The men's locker room was disgusting the entire time. I suppose I'm just used to how clean the Antioch location is all the time. The team members in Antioch always seem to be cleaning. I'll just go back to Antioch from now on. read more

Good gym with new equipment, but I constantly see people in here without gym attire (i.e. jeans, slippers, etc.) and no one says anything. Lately, I've noticed how dirty the gym is. Indontbthinknit has been vacuumed in over a week and it's definitely been a while since the machines have been wiped down. If I could write a separate review for the facility itself then i'd probably give it 4 stars as it is one of the larger and better set up facilities that I have been to however this low rating is for the aggravating customer service i experienced today. it was around 11am and i had finished my workout while my car was in the shop and my phone was about to die so i had no way of contacting the dealership to come and pick me up so i went to the front desk, told them the situation, and asked if i could use their phone. the associate who helped me (tall, seemingly caucasian, male presenting) was rather nice and helpful, told his coworker the situation and asked him to use his phone to look up the number of Concord Honda so I could schedule a pickup and to unplug his phone to let my phone charge in the meantime. They get the number, I connect to Honda, tell them the situation, and they tell me that there isn't really an estimated time of pick up and that they'll call me whenever someone is available and on their way. I think it's fine because, you know, my phone will be charging, and I will be able to be in contact with them. Well, I thought wrong, because as soon as i hang up the (gym's) phone, the coworker unplugs my phone to resume charging his. like, lol bro, yeah it's definitely more important that you charge your phone that you totally should be using while your coworkers fill up and deflate yoga balls and while you're supposed to be doing whatever it is that you do on your shift. it was just very disrespectful and made no sense to me because like in the grand scheme of things, in this moment, my phones battery life is more important than yours??? that's not even main character energy, that's just facts. without my phone having a charge my ass would be stuck at the gym until they decided to call the gym and let me know a ride is coming, with his phone not having a charge literally nothing changes throughout his shift. who knows, maybe even his productivity would increase. but idk i don't work there. anyways, my phone hovered at 1% and luckily enough, i managed to get in touch with the dealership and secure a ride about a half hour later. it was just a very frustrating experience, and all in the name of maximizing time management. read more
