The new staff are much more customer friendly. They now have a lot of cleaning stations that have disinfectant and paper towels to clean the equipment before and after you use it. Two PF thumbs down!! This staff insists on running loud, annoying vacuums and turning the cooling fans off over the stairs and treadmills while they do it! Workers can't refill the paper towel dispensers, they stand at the counter on their phones not greeting anybody and they changed their hours to 6:00 a.m. on Saturdays. I need a rating less than one star. PF Chambers Rd Denver Colorado. Extremely bad gym. Staff is not trained and has no idea what's going on. They seem to work harder trying not to answer a question to help out then actually doing their job. My membership had an issue in which nobody knew how to fix. I canceled the account because I was moving work locations and two weeks later I am staying in place. can we please remove the cancel in the account I want to continue to work out here and pay you. The assistant manager tells me to cancel my account and sign up again and then pay the annual fee again, Wait what? You cant waive it? Issue can't be fixed. The technology seems to be in the flintstone era. If I talk on the phone it's always let me check and I will call you back bo return call. Question in the same issue in the gym. I got go work out and when you leave I will have the answer. She left the building and did not return.I finally just cut the loss because I was getting fed up with talking to stupid people. I joined their competition gym. Never looking back. I would recommend anyone that is looking to join PF to move onto something better. This has never been the best gym I've been to (it just happens to be the closest). But over time it's become even worse. The customer service has gone downhill fast. The staff at the door don't check you in or make eye contact anymore. They've stopped greeting you with, "Enjoy your workout!" and don't even say, "Goodbye" when you leave. They might stare vacantly at you though. Why bother having staff at the door at all? Some of the televisions and signage have disappeared and the place is looking shabby. Are they renovating? (Or closing?) As others have noted, it's cheap, but you also get what you pay for. They only have a single machine for certain (popular) pieces of equipment, and it's usually being hogged by someone staring at their phone instead of actually using the machine. Lots of sleazy guys. The parking lot is terrible too. It's filled with ridiculously high speed bumps. I wish another place would open up in the GVR area because I've had it with this gym. read more

Been here multiple times and the hot water doesn't work in the showers. Staff doesn't know how to fix it. Not acceptable.

This gym is pretty big so everything is spaced out pretty well. Was visiting for a few weeks, and every time I went, there was a new machine that was broken. Today I counted 9 broken machines. read more

I just joined this gym two weeks ago and every time I go for a workout the bench presses is occupied by the same people for the entirety of my hour. Gym members will literally sit there and read their Kindle or play on their phone for 20 minutes in between sets. I would like to benchpress in my work out, but unfortunately there is no gym etiquette amongst the members. And unfortunately no enforcement from the employees. read more

Literally 4 different strength machine down for service, how do you have so many strength pieces down?

This was my first time visiting this PF, as I was in town visiting. I usually go to a PF in my town/city, and I an not overly impressed by the franchise as a whole, but it's a decent gym, and allows me to get done what I need to. This location, the staff was friendly, and the place was quite clean. Their set up is a bit odd, as it almost seems quite crowded in the area where they have all of the cable machines, smith machines, and free weights. However, as with any PF, if you're going to do cardio, you'll definitely be able to get that knocked out, as they have 5000 treadmills. I do think, though, that they should take advantage of something like my local PF has, which is treadmills at every cardio machine that are attached to the machines, vice the larger screen setup for everyone to watch while they are working out. Otherwise, this gym is pretty good. Nothing special, though. read more

Im a regular visitor of Planet Fitness, and although I've been a long term customer, I've gotten to learn it's ups and downs; I craved for something else. There was so much room for improvements to go around-- such as cleanliness, space and more choices of workouts. I was oblivious of this new location opening up, and my jaw dropped from relief and excitement. This location is exactly what I felt was missing to the puzzle. No more, must I drive far to get quality exercise! This Planet Fitness is a lot more eye catching than the one on Mississippi Ave. I felt that the atmosphere was a lot more motivational and less competitive. It also wasn't crowded as my previous experiences. I was yet to be excited to enter inside this location, but upon entering through those doors, I thought the gym was a lot more private and secure to do your own unique workout. You're allowed to transfer your membership in a new location-- this is the best one for me, and it's $10 a month. For $19.99, there is more features that you are able to access, such as massage chairs, spa etc., but you get access to the whole building. I love the several treadmills and rooms where each machine delivers a goal for your workout. The only downside is the treadmills don't have the portable chargers connected. The shower is the best part for me. I loved the private experience of having shampoo, already available for me to use. They have fancy mirrors with lots of luminous lights. The shower was relaxing and with a pair of new clothes, towels, and lotion, I totally loved it, and expect to continue coming everyday. Hoorah for Planet Fitness! read more

Terrible experience at this gym on a pretty consistent basis. Last week I was on he elliptical machine and all of a sudden a giant air vent in the ceiling that hadn't been used in quite some time started blowing air. Giant chunks of dust began flying everywhere. I had an asthma attack and had to leave the gym. Today (8/13/18) they had someone doing maintenance with a hydraulic lift at 5:30pm- right at the busiest time of day. Not only was it dangerous, but the insanely loud noise of the lift made it impossible to focus or workout. Truly seems as if this gym is not concerned with the experience of members. read more

I started going to this gym because it's conveniently down the street so now I can't really make up any excuses not to go. One thing that's glaringly obvious is they don't have a lot of amenities that you would find at a 24 Hour Fitness such as, basketball court, swimming pool, sauna, aerobic classes and such. You also won't find a squat rack or bench press. They do have a few smith machines and I'm sure if you're looking for a total body work out you can figure something out. They do have plenty of cardio machines particularly treadmills and ellipticals and only 4 stair climbers, but the facility is never busy which is also a plus. For $10 you really can't complain. But wait...there's more! For an additional $10 you can become a black card member where you can enjoy access to tanning beds and massage chairs. The facility is super clean as well and the staff are always friendly no matter what time of day it may be. Sure this gym might not have a lot of other work out equipments compared to others, but do other gyms have a Church's Chicken conveniently walking distance? I think not! read more

I have a few restrictions, and he has gone above and beyond to make sure I have a workout that I can do. I wouldn't be able to workout without his help! read more

I started my membership earlier this year and, for the most part, I enjoy it. The staff is nice and friendly and as a Black Card Member, I really like that I can go to any gym at any time and it's unlimited. This is helpful if you travel or if you're not close to your home gym. My BIGGEST issue with this particular gym has to do with when I called before having major abdominal surgery to either cancel or put my membership on hold. The lady I spoke with said that they would not accept a fax or secure e-mail directly from my surgeon stating that I'm scheduled for a last minute surgery in 12 hours and will not be able to participate in strenuous physical activity for 6-12 weeks. In spite of having medical documentation, I would still be billed in three days and it would not be refunded even after providing the documentation. I asked if someone on my behalf could bring the paperwork in for me...nope. I was told that if I want to avoid billing, I need to PHYSICALLY walk in the paperwork so they could check my ID (to make sure it matches the account and for security purposes), make a copy of the documentation, and keep it on file before putting my account on hold. From a customer service standpoint: that is absolutely ridiculous!!! There is no reason for any customer to have to physically walk in medical documentation after surgery when a fax would suffice. I'm glad I'm a Black Card Member because most of the time I choose to go to other locations instead of this one unless I'm short on time. It's worth the travel time for me to not deal with someone who has that kind of customer service. Oh, and when I did walk the paperwork in there, was my ID checked to verify that I am who I am? No. Anyone could have taken care of that for me. I will say that the young lady who helped me when I went in was apologetic and super kind. But the lady over the phone left a really bad taste in my mouth for this PF. read more

If I could give Planet Fitness a negative star I would. When I signed up with Planet Fitness, I went to ask about a $10 a month and no cancellation fee promotion. The girl at the counter assured me that there will be NO CONTRACT! Well, I went to the location I set up membership with and turns out I have to pay $58 cancellation fee to to cancel a contract because its a Black membership. Also, they took a $35 annual fee which I was told there would be none. These people will lie to you just to reel you in. When I spoke to the guy at the counter he told me that it is too bad that its the way things are and I have to pay to cancel. VERY RUDE! I work way too hard for my money to be taken away by a greedy company. I will be telling all of my friends and family about this and I will be reviewing in every place I can to warn descent people about the misleading information Planet Fitness gives in order to trick you into a contract. read more
