I was planning on joining this gym because it seemed to be a quiet small gym which I like. I came back about 2 weeks ago to look it over love the equipment because it's a machines that I use according to the type of training I do. I come back this weekend to possibly sign up and they did a complete remodel of all new equipment which I find to be quite nice but nothing I'm used to using from the gyms that I've gone to not at all satisfied so I will not be joining there. According to what the manager said this is the way all planet fitnesses Are going to be doing. These machines are just basic training at least the machines are the free weights and dumbbell rack is nice but I do a lot of machines and Smith machine no longer there. Along with other ones. I will be pursuing other gyms because I'm just not at all satisfied with what I see now. I find it to be wrong that they don't ask for customers input to see what they want instead of they just put in brand new equipment that half the people don't use let alone don't know how to use. I find that the staff don't want to help new customers or even existing customers how do you see equipment. My friend is there in the goffstown location and she doesn't even like it. She's the one that got me to try and join. The prices there are so pleasant because you get everything with a black card. Oh well! read more

No heat in locker rooms and shower heat not set/ extremely cold shower. I understand no heat in bathrooms and all locker rooms but a cold shower on top of no heat in locker rooms earns you a bad review / I'll be in today in person again read more

The manager there Nick is a ballroom bouncer, not a manager. I went there to try to cancel my membership and they gave me a very difficult time. Try canceling your membership with any Planet Fitness see how they respond. Nick is a goon and he has no business being a Manager a bounce a yes, but a Manager NOI strongly recommend not using this facility or any Planet Fitness because of their customer service which does not exist. It's easier to reach the president of the United States than a service representative. if I could give them a -0 I would stay far away from this place. read more

I think this is the smallest location I have ever seen. For the space available, they make good use of the space though. The spa doesn't have any hydromassage equipment. The staff is extremely friendly. read more

The equipment is inadequately cleaned and members clean equipment after use. There is no hand sanatizer available. Some of the equipment has old software programs and older type. Nice friendly staff. Bathroom / Locker room is overall clean and maintained. Good interior lighting. Good equipment storage for free weights. read more

My Husband and I frequent your gym about 5 times a week and use the Arc Trainers. We like to watch the news during our hour workout. Fox News is the only news channel at that end of the gym, so that's what we would watch. The TV that plays Fox News has been out of commission for going on 3 months. I'm sorry but this is unacceptable. They tell us that the parts have been ordered. We asked that they switch the TV with another one, but they said than someone else would be upset. When we go which is at different times during the day, we're usually the only ones on the ARC Trainers. So we have to watch, The Price is Right, my 600 lbs life or re-runs on Lifetime (which is the best option but the close caption doesn't work on this tv and has been like this since last week - all they need to do is reset - but it appears to be too much trouble). Most of the employees hang at the front desk on their phones and barely acknowledge you. We're in the process of looking for another gym. read more

Planet Fitness - Gyms Near Me - Goffstown, New Hampshire

I went here for my first time tonight, and I think it's my favorite Planet Fitness location yet. I still prefer the atmosphere of the Manchester West gym, but this one is outfitted with shiny, state-of-the-art machines and space-age equipment. Even the urinals look like they're from the future. I love that kinda stuff. As a runner, I'm psyched about one feature this location's treadmills have: iPod docks. Being able to leave behind the awkward arm band - which makes switching albums mid-run nearly impossible - is huge. I was able to keep running for 8 miles without getting fed up. I haven't used any of the weight machines yet, but if you've heard PF's ads, you know they're not catering to the Creatine crowd. As a non-bodybuilder, I do think the stereotypes are a bit unfair, but obviously the campaign is effective or they wouldn't keep at it. It's also contrary to the "Judgement Free Zone" principle - we're allowed to judge bodybuilders, but no one else -- but, again, I still love the place. But I'm digressing. I think I'll make this my go-to gym for when I'm on my way home from work, and stick with the Manchester West location when I'm home. read more

The new Pinardville Planet Fitness is up and running! With gleaming new machines, wide open workout spaces, and circuit training, this gym is a pleasure to work out in. I've never visited a brand new gym before but after working out here, it's going to be hard to go back to my basement of a gym in Boston. The staff is friendly, the location is superb, and their presence in town has caused nearby Gold's Gym to drop their prices and fees. However... I wish I could give this gym 3.5 stars because there were three things that made me want to knock it down half a star. 1. The tvs are in a long line above the workout equipment, and are set to different channels with signs above so you know which station to tune to. But this means that you're stuck with those channels, which include two variants of FOX and neither VH1 or MTV. It also means you can only really see channels 1-6 from the ellipticals, though they are all visible from the treadmills. I wish there was more variation or at least less permanent options. 2. The tuners for listening to said channels only work when your machine is going, and turn off the second you stop. But on an elliptical, this means that if your workout involves backwards rotations, you lose your power and thus your channel and your volume settings every single time you reverse direction. This is just a bad choice of receiver for these machines, and should be replaced if at all possible. 3. The circuit training area, though sparkling clean, is not well labeled. Once people have entered this area, there are no signs that illustrate how the circuit works, or reminding people that these machines are for a set purpose. It would be much better if there was signage not just outside the space, but also inside so if people are misusing the equipment (getting on the machine you were about to rotate too, staying on one for many sets when you are waiting for it) you could easily point to it and gently remind them of the intention of the space. I hope at least some of these issues will be addressed in the coming weeks - this is a great and affordable way to exercise right in town, and I'd love to see it succeed! read more

I've been hitting gyms regularly since 1986. This place is absolutely fantastic and among the best I've been in. Reasons: (1) always-clean men's locker room, (2) friendly and helpful staff, (3) machines always are in working order, (4) clean workout area, including staff constantly wiping down machines, (5) 24-hour access, (6) never too crowded, (7) low monthly charge, i.e., $20 for black card, which provides access to all Planet Fitness gyms. Worst place to workout ever. I just wanted to get a day pass which was a ridiculous 20$! They do this because the membership is only 10$ or 21$ a month and they want you to sign up and hopefully forget to cancel so they can charge you a 40$ fee. I walked right out and went to FitLab. They claim they are a judgement free zone but will judge anyone who is actually fit and wants to work out hard! Very hypocritical, people need to be able to breath and make noises in the gym it is not healthy not to. I have heart problems and often have to breath heavily in order to well, LIVE. I would not feel comfortable here knowing that they will blast an alarm to embarrass you. They have no bench presses, squat machines and you are not allowed to deadlift. These are the most essential 3 exercises in order to build strength. If you want to actually workout I would recommend any other place. If you want to do cardio this is ur best value but remember, no tank tops, no water, and keep ur breathing to a minimum! read more

Planet fitness seems like a respected facility with great marketing and an well run business. But i do see some areas that this place lacks significantly. First of all calling yourself a judgment free zone contradicts the rules that come with your gym. Your facility pushes away the larger, intimidating group of people. Those people aren't their to intimidate just trying to get in a complete workout that pushes them to their up most potential. The "Lunk alarm" is ridiculous to be honest. Is it really a big deal if someone wants to exert some energy when one is trying to complete a heavy set. The word "Lunk" to me seems to describe the bigger individual in the room, that's pretty judgmental I have to say. Only having dumbbells up to 80 lbs, only allowed to bring at most a 20 oz container, no bandannas allowed either. Okay you don't want to promote gang violence but come on this isn't a prison yard your dealing with. I dont want to point out all the cons of this place because their are plenty of pros. But being one who always looks to better myself in a physical way and striving for the best i can be i don't want to be in an environment that will only limit me to a mediocre level. read more
