Before Covid, this place was clean, organized, and actually pleasant to work out in. Now in 2025? Imagine a Black Friday sale inside a public restroom -- that's the vibe. It's always packed. Morning, noon, night -- doesn't matter. I've tried all hours and it's like the line for a free Beyoncé concert in here. Cleanliness? Let's just say I've had to stop mid-set to go wash the gym off my hands. The bathrooms look like they've given up on life entirely. A deep cleaning wouldn't hurt -- or maybe even an exorcism. And the "phone lifters"? Oh, they're here in full force. I can bang out three sets before the person sitting on the bench finishes their TikTok scroll. Honestly, I think some people are training for the Sitting Olympics. On the plus side, the staff is great -- friendly, helpful, and probably just as horrified as I am. But until the place gets a scrub and a little etiquette enforcement, working out here feels more like a survival sport. read more

This has to be our 14th or 15th location in 4 states in the last 6 weeks. This is about your employee, Kiera. Been coming here for years and the girl behind the desk (Kiera) says I can't come here any more since I have classic membership which I've had for years. Probably only had the black membership for a few months then didn't need it anymore. I said I've been coming to this gym for years when my home gym is Lake Stevens. Once in a while down in Mill Creek. I do not frequent the Mill Creek location often anymore. Then I asked "so you're not going to let me work out?" Then she says no and begins to literally tell me I'm RUDE. That's rich coming from someone who's rude to their members first. This is ridiculous coming from your employee who I've never seen before but have been working out at this gym for years. So she was says "that's policy!" When I've been working out at this gym for years with no problems except when Kiera now is implementing "policy". And she supposedly said she was going to break this policy to let me workout until she calls me RUDE. So yea, what's your policy at this location then??? So I'm going to be calling corporate to voice my issue and hopefully this gets to the franchise owner then manager of this Planet Fitness. If Kiera is so quick to call your Planet Fitness members RUDE, I wonder how many other members she's says this to or worse. If you're trying to find a gym, don't get a membership here. So far, so good. I came in under a guest pass. I was a little annoyed that I and to download an app that I may not use much, but I admit it made it really easy to quickly scan in. The space is just one big open floor, which means it fits quite a few machine. We tested out the 30min workout area where a 30 second time moves you from station to station. It's a really neat idea, but a little hard to follow when you want to workout with someone. It also makes wiping down the equipment a little tricky with the time crunch. I'm not sure if they hand out rags somewhere to help this? But if not, it would be really helpful. I'll probably bring one next time instead of having to lug over to their cleaning stations. Anyway, it's a nice space and kept us busy. I plan on going back, so I will update as I get a better feel for the space. read more

The showers are filthy and it takes forever to get hot water. The kids behind the desk don't seem to really care. Just go through the motions. Forget about rule enforcement. I have a Black Card membership, with Lake Stevens being my primary gym. I stopped in at the Mill Creek location last night to discover that they have only 2 upright stationary bikes, with one being broken. I was shocked as LS has many. This is a large facility & should offer more bikes. I confirmed with the reception desk that there were no more bikes, & walked the gym to confirm before leaving. Also, Mill Creek machine sanitizing stations do not include hand sanitizer pumps which shocks me. Lake Stevens does. I hope the owner of Mill Creek reads my review & considers making some changes. read more

There are too many breakdowns of equipment. We were told that all the equipment was going to be replaced at the first of the year, but nothing has been replaced. There are too few stair climbing equipment, only six, and half are broke down most of the time. Only two bicycles, that are also broke most of the time. No staff repair person on the premises, you have to wait for days to get something repaired. Come on man, get it together. read more

The equipment at this gym is in a constant continual state of disrepair! Management is awful, the rest of the lower people seem fine and friendly, but I've never felt anything but uncomfortable with the management that is here. With how antisocial they are they shouldn't be working anywhere, bathrooms are nasty and there was a urinal that was broken for 3 months, ungodly that he just covered it up with a trash bag. Reading reviews and seeing people complain for $25 a month is bizarre. It's not an Equinox but For what it's worth, This place is fine. As the previous reviews state. The employees do stand at the front and don't really greet but for me I don't care. I'm not really there to socialize or have interaction with people. I'm there to work out. Free weight area will be hard to get in to work out as that's always packed with people, as well as the arm machines. Getting a cardio machine is never an issue. I use the crowd meter on the app to see how busy it is and avoid the busier times. I do see employees actively cleanly often. Which is nice. read more

This location refuses to fix any machines. Today I was in and 5 of the 6 Stairmasters are broken. Some of the cardio machines have been broken for well over 6 months and never get fixed. I have complained to staff and they seem to share the same frustrations but they say there is nothing they can do about it. If you want to use a Stairmaster or good cardio equipment I would not join this gym. However, the staff is very friendly and seemed to be concerned about the issue as well. read more

I travel b/t Mill Creek and Federal Way weekly, stopping by various PF locations along the way whenever I'm able. This by far is the worst of them all. Numerous machines out of order, including dryers, sinks, toilets, and showers in the bathroom. I actually ended up using a treadmill that was quite filthy (yes, I wiped down what I could before I used it). There was a huge hole where a cup holder used to be - and inside that whole were numerous dried out seeds. They looked like cherry pits. And the emergency stop cord, and its plug w/wires, were also inside. I don't know if this treadmill was outside for a time or what - but that was an unwelcome display of pure neglect for equipment. When I walked into the gym (0630), there were two male staff members with their backs against the reception desk, arms crossed, chatting w/each other. (I scanned myself in - which is fine). When I left 1-1/2 hrs later - they were doing the same thing. I have to assume all these PF locations are franchises; it's very apparent the owner of this one couldn't care less. The door glass is filthy, the equipment has probably never been routinely wiped down, and I don't even want to know the last time they cleaned their water fountain. If this posting garners any response from the owner - or corporate- whatever they respond w/is a false promise. From speaking w/another client at the gym - the condition of this gym and the poor maintenance of its equipment, and lackadaisical attitude of the staff is standard here. read more

I go to this planet fitness for only run reason and that's because it's close to my house. Otherwise, I wouldn't step foot in it. It is always crowded, in fact more crowded than any gym I've ever been to. You almost always have to wait to use the equipment and for some reason they won't buy more dumbbells. I don't think I've ever seen the 25 lb dumbbells available when I was there. When I was there tonight the entire rack was completely empty. Buy more dumbbells! Also, some of their equipment is broken and their bathrooms could be better taken care of. I must say, the amenities & options are great, a wide variety to choose from. Anything from private lockers to massages to additional membership advantages. It was grand, however, there are a few issues I've had. * 1) Cancelling your membership is impossible if you don't have a vehicle. A) I currently do not have a vehicle and have no mode of transportation B) I've tried calling the customer support at 2 different numbers and they re-directed me elsewhere to resolve it. Gave me a reference number and everything. C) I've tried all outlets so to this DAY they are still charging it. If anyone knows how to WITHOUT going in person I'd love to know. * 2) DONT go during the evenings around 5-7pm. Most stations are packed and unavailable to use & people are waiting during that time. A) They are open 24 hours , so any other time probably would work better without awkward wait times. * 3) it states NO JUDGMENT ZONE as per the rules but OH MAN is that untrue. The amount of stares & eye glances made me so self conscious I refused to go even when I had a vehicle. * I wouldn't recommend this establishment overall. **Plant Fitness clearly does not care about their customers. If anyone reading this has had a similar experience, perhaps a class action lawsuit is in order.** Such a shame that I have to write a negative review after over a year of being a satisfied member at this gym, but the way that management handled my membership cancellation during the COVID pandemic feels like a scam. Back in March I sent an email to cancel my membership but I was informed that I had to come in person to do so. Not a big deal, so I was planning to cancel the next time I worked out. Unfortunately, the gym closed before I could do so due to COVID. That was fine because they stopped charging my membership fee, so, I planned to cancel my membership when they reopened. Fast forward to October when I see that I was charged an annual fee. I then looked at my bank account and apparently PF has been charging me for my membership since August. I guess the gym opened back up and resumed deducting money from my bank account without notifying me. Now that the gym was open again, I could finally cancel my membership; I also wanted a refund for the annual fee (which was only charged that same month). I went to the gym and explained the situation to the manager and included that I didn't receive any notification that they were open again. She stated that she sent an email out to everyone and would not refund the money. I reiterated that I searched my emails (even deleted and junk mail) and could not find the email, but she acted like I was lying and said I could escalate it up to corporate if I wanted to. I then attempted to contact the corporate office to explain the situation, but their response was that every location manages their own billing because they are independent franchises. I have received no response from the corporate office for over a month. I guess that means I've lost nearly $100 to a shady business owner and a corporation who doesn't care about their customers. During these difficult times, every dollar in my bank account counts and it is disheartening to see Planet Fitness react this way to simple request for a refund especially during the unprecedented times. read more

Lost this potential client immediately. I went in to tour specifically the 30-minute circuit part. The three people at the desk barely looked up as I approached. No one was eager to do the tour. The guy that got chosen proceeded to walk me back, not listening to what I started to say about the circuit training and instead just interrupted to say that's the restrooms and those are the lockers. He seemed half asleep. At the circuit training section, it was as I feared from other reviews -- nobody doing the circuit at all, just a few people barely using a machine or two. One was just sitting on one while staring at his phone and another was just sitting on one and staring at the floor. When I expressed to the tour guide my concerns, he said something like, yeah, well, you can come up and tell us if this happens. He made it clear that they do NOT proactively check that section like PF's policy says it does. I guess thanks? for such a clear tour so that I didn't waste my money trying this place. read more

I understand and don't totally oppose the "Lunk Alarm" policy. Planet Fitness utilizes a "lunk alarm", a loud siren and rotating light that is used when a gymgoer (always a guy) grunts too loudly or drops weights. However, they need to be fair by monitoring both men and women. My pet peeve is the Smith Machine, which consists of a barbell that is fixed within steel rails, allowing only vertical or near-vertical movement. Mill Creek Planet Fitness has four of these, but women often monopolize this equipment. What they do is park there with their personal belongings, do a set, and then sit down and make themselves at home with their drinks and smart phones. Planet Fitness needs to put a time limit when the gym is busy! Do they need a Pink Alarm, or a Countdown Timer? read more

Stay away. Planet Fitness is focused on profit, not you. They want you to continue to eat unhealthy so you come back, so they offer candy, bagels and pizza. Even if that's avoidable, this club isn't worth the cheap rates. They have many rules that they choose to enforce at whim... usually directed at one person not working out while they ignore people who are actually on machines disregarding the same rules (talking on the phone, doing Facebook livestreams, not wearing appropriate gym gear, etc). Their locker rooms are horrid. Things are broken frequently. They don't stock paper towels which are sometimes needed in a locker room when they aren't always needed in a restroom. The restrooms are dirty nearly all the time and sinks/etc are frequently broken. I signed up for a contract and they told me that my contract was still in force after I had paid 12 months of payments, to add insult to injury, as I'm trying to move to another gym. They staff is nice, that is their only saving grace, but again they choose to single out things that are not important and overlook things that impact most others in the gym. Just pay a little more and go to a good gym. This place is not worth your time. This was my experience at three locations, not just Mill Creek, so this seems to be a management/corporate culture issue not just a single club issue. read more
