Zero Stars. I needed to use the restroom, I was waiting for my minor, with no BlackPass cuz she's too young, to come out. I really needed to use the restroom as I had just driven for 2 hours. I asked nicely to the clerk, she said no because I didn't have a membership. I walked away silent. After my daughter came out, I walked right back in and spoke to the pretty director lady. I told her I thought it was inhumane, cruel, and very corporate to not support mothers or parents who work so hard to support their teens, and I was thinking about joining, but now I'm pulling my daughter and moving along. The gym is great, members and staff are always great but the parking is horrible. All of the IHOP customers park at the gym and good luck parking in the back row. You will get blocked in from everyone double parking. You should require parking permits and tow everyone that doesn't have one or is double parked. I would give the gym 5 stars but I've driven away so many times because there's no parking. read more

I love my local Planet Fitness. It gets the busiest around the morning time: 10AMish. I typically come at night, when there is less traffic. Through the app, you scan your code to enter and use their gym. Their equipment is always up to date and functioning. If you're unsure on how to use anything, the equipment has instructions on the side to explain! Showers, bathrooms and lockers are nice and tidy, very hygienic. That says a lot about the maintenance of this location. read more

Avoid this Planet Fitness location at all costs. This is by far the worst Planet Fitness I've ever been to. The staff here are not only rude and unhelpful--they're downright disrespectful. If you come here expecting the supportive, welcoming environment that Planet Fitness advertises, you will be extremely disappointed. What's worse is the hateful and dismissive attitude from some of the staff members. No one should ever feel uncomfortable or disrespected at a gym, especially by the people who are supposed to create a safe space. If you experience any form of hateful speech or mistreatment at this location, please report it immediately--this kind of behavior should not be tolerated. Honestly, this location should be shut down. It fails to live up to everything Planet Fitness claims to stand for. I have been going to planet fitness for about 2 years now and I've loved it, especially because of one they're employe named Luis. He is always so cheerful and will to help. He is an absolute joy! I could go on and on about how helpful he is and how he is always nice and is a good mood, He alone I give 5 stars. However planet fitness recently got a new manager i believe her name is tiara, I am not sure and I did not have a good encounter with her. She was rude and was trying to accuse me of something I did not do. Once we figured out the situation, and she saw that I did nothing wrong, I got no apology. I asked the manager, "Paulmella", to cancel my membership while I was standing there in the gym. She proceeded to ask me several questions, including "do you plan to be vaccinated?" She clearly made her assumptions. She made no move to the computer to cancel my membership. I repeated, "Can you please cancel my membership?". Because I emphasized "please", she accused me of being rude. I know when I am rude, believe me I was being persistent, not rude. Because you must cancel in person, I really did not want to walk away before cancelling. To avoid further conflict with this woman, I ended up walking away in order not to be rude, because this manager was insistent on asking questions rather than accommodating my simple request. She should learn to simply meet the customer where they are, and not pursue her own agenda. Bad example of what customer service should be. Resolution: Less than an hour later, Derrick cancelled my membership, he did what this manager actively refused to do. Planet Fitness promotes "cancel anytime" as a big part of their membership ads, maybe someone needs to remind Paulmella. Additionally: I filed a formal complaint with the BBB regarding my issues with the club, which is why I was cancelling to begin with. Worst gym during Covid times. They allow guests to keep their masks off while they are "actively working out". I first assumed this was just in the cardio machines but soon noticed this was also while on machines and in the free weight areas. They also do not check temps nor do they ask people to put masks on while they are walking from machine to machine. If you want to catch something, then choose this gym. Pittsburg Planet Fitness Review I usually go into Planet Fitness and not deal with any of the staff members due to being so used to getting crappy customer service. Today I went into Planet Fitness and after my workout I used the restroom only to find there were puddles of water on the floor assuming it was from the shower. I go to report this in front, and of course , there's only one person working the counter while five employees including the manager standing around talking.  God forbid they end their conversation and ask me if I need the help. I finally got tired of waiting for them to ask me if I need help and interupt the one employee working and tell her that there's puddles in the bathroom.  I'm not surprised by crappy customer service anymore. It happens everywhere, I am more surprised when I get someone decent. This is why it doesn't pay to be a decent human being and brings problems to the staff before someone gets hurt. When you have only 1 bathroom for a man and you close it for a male worker to clean the bathroom....try not to close it for 20+ minutes. The other PF in Antioch has a back up bathroom but this location does not. People have work schedules and or need to go to the bathroom. Other than that, good gym at a great price read more

Planet Fitness (Pittsburg) is definitely my home away from home. Everything is great here with the friendly staff and clean equipment. I highly recommend taking classes with the trainer Terryl to learn how to workout efficiently and effectively. I can definitely say that I've grown stronger both mentally and physically through him. My only complaint is that sometimes the classes don't match the description or start on time. If you don't see him behind the front desk, you will most likely find him floating around in his bright yellow shirt. read more

I had to switch up and flip up from my status as a 24 Hour Fitness member and decided to check out Planet Fitness after a recommendation from a friend. This particular PF is relatively new to the area and still hasn't lost that glistenin' glow from it's infancy. It's always spotless inside and I have yet to see a machine out of service. I also have yet to see the place packed, which means you can bang out that cardio without being pressed up against people who smell like the end of the world. They're not chock full of classes, although they do have a few, so you'll have to find somewhere else to get yelled at while scrambling to squat in formation. But they do have a really cool area that includes equipment and a timer so you can have yourself a grand ol' circuit at your leisure. Oh, and there's tanning beds, massage chairs and a pretty creepy device known as a "hydro bed", if you're into that kind of thing. read more

Don't join this gym and avoid this company. I've sent two emails and made two phone calls trying to cancel my membership because I moved out of state. This company is perhaps the last on the planet that will accept a telegram cancellation (I wish I were kidding), but won't accept an email request for cancellation from the email they have on file. They also invented a certified mail standard while on the phone with me, saying that certified mail proves who I am when they receive it (it doesn't of course.)I say this is an invented standard because even their own agreement doesn't require it. This company is just trying to make it really hard to end membership so they can continue to charge your card. I recommend you find a better business to partner with as you pursue your fitness goals....this company is deceptive and borders on fraudulent behavior. UPDATE: they responded and misstated the terms of the agreement. They say that the signature is important, but the agreement permits a telegram. I'll send a telegram tomorrow and will update yet again if they fail to process it. I'll also not that certified mail IS NOT required in the agreement. This company sucks and is dishonest. read more

Management here sucks. Pamela does not understand customer service at all. Not even sure how she became a manager. You are a manager and its your duty to provide a solution to the client. I downgraded my membership and somehow my payment is no longer working. After taking money out my account for seven months, the payments just so happened to stop right when i changed my membership. The manager even told me that it was my FAULT that this happened. And just to make sure i was not at fault, I even had another manager from a different location who confirmed that this was an error on their end and the manager should have at least offer me a refund on the late fees, considering I still have a card on file. Yup got charged a late fee when I have an active card on field. Pamela is a horrible manager and does not offer no type of support/help. read more

This is a popular gym in the area. Unfortunately, they don't enforce the COVID-19 preventions for real. The website and when you sign in the requirement is mentioned. Once you go to exercise you see most people training without mask or with the mask below their nose. The funny thing is that they don't miss cleaning the machines. Haven't we learned that COVID-19 is airborne?? What's more important? Wearing your mask or cleaning a machine? Obviously the staff doesn't enforce the rules because they are mostly kids and the clientele will not follow their requests. read more

Do not sign up for this gym. I found out that they didn't cancel my membership from two in a half years ago after I canceled after a car accident. I go in today to sign up for a new membership and these assholes have my account in collections and tell me I owe $250. If you cancel your membership, make sure the assholes actually do it and get it in writing. Make sure you hold on to that paperwork because I didn't and over two years later, it's coming back to bite me in the ass because of their shitty action of not canceling my membership. read more

I have always loathed the idea of exercising. I am not sure if it is the combination of letters that make up the word "exercise," or if it is because of my aversion to sweating (which is one of the things I had actively tried to minimize while growing up in a tropical country), or just because I am lazy, or maybe a combination of any or all of the above. I just always loathed the idea of purposefully moving my body with "sweating" as the main goal. I am fully aware of the benefits but for years, any mention of me exercising always made me sneer. I have good genes, I am naturally disposed to preferring healthy and wholesome foods most of the time, my grandparents lived long lives, etc. I am very good at rationalizing my exercise distaste. But finally, I have noticed the drop of my natural manic energy. Perhaps Father Time has finally began to catch up with me. But I refuse to give up my energy and the fun I get because of said energy. As I was pondering this, lo and behold, I saw this Planet Fitness about to open. A gym 5 minutes away from home, offering $10/month fee, a judgment-free zone just as I was pondering that it is time to exercise? I think the universe was sending me a message.... So I checked them out. The facilities are brand new, the space is clean, the staff are super pleasant when I explained that I have never exercised before, plus if I got the black card (for $19.99/month), I would get unlimited hydromassage, massage chairs, and their Beauty Angel thing (which, if I understand correctly, could help me tone while being lazy). So if I wanted a massage, I could legitimately say, "I went to the gym!"? SOLD! I am now planning to be a regular. Their machines are easy to use and the staff are willing to answer all my silly questions. The only reason I am holding off the last star is because the bathrooms are not finished yet. Now that I've graduated from Planet Fitness, I shall leave my 2 cents here. I started going to the gym back in October of 2016 and stayed with PF until just this month. I was swayed into signing up for the black card, but joined during a promo. My initiation fee was only $14 and for a black card 2 years ago, it was literally only $20 per month + a $39 fee charged every February that kept our monthly price the same if ever membership prices increased (they stayed true to this). Pittsburg's location is spacious, the staff has been consistently friendly, and it's clean! Cleaning up after ourselves was enforced when we joined the PF family, and we made sure to sanitize before and after using any equipment. On top of that, staff would usually be cleaning as people worked out. The equipment is relatively new and would be replaced if ever there was damage. Black card membership differs from regular by two main things: you have the ability to work out at other locations + bring a guest and you have access to the massage chairs/beds and tanning areas. It got pretty crowded during the beginning of the week these last few months I was there. But that's great that they got more business and more people are interested in getting fit! My reason for leaving was simply because its location was no longer convenient. I have no reason to be in Pittsburg. And I also wanted to upgrade to a gym that had free weight squat/power racks plus more equipment. Regardless, my time at this gym was extremely worth it. I reached new levels of fitness I never thought I would get to. And it really is a judgment free zone. Everyone does their own thing without paying attention to anyone else. Let's not forget to mention the tootsie rolls that are always at the front and the free pizza days! Love ya, PF! I'll return to you again someday. read more

Ever since the gym opened I've enjoyed going back and seeing everyone which feels like family but today I saw an old employee I believe her name is Sara she left the stretch room looking brand new. I had to stop and thank her because she does clean and doesn't do things half way like some employees. She dust , wiped down every single machine , vacuumed and even mopped which amazed me at how good she did it everything was so evenly.
