I went is this morning at 9:30ish to get a tan the lady behind the counter asked me twice for my glasses which I had to show over and over, and then after was refused service for the Red Light Therapy after I had finished tanning the guy behind the counter tried to argue with me about it when I have done this many times. I actually had to go to the Alpharetta location to get the Red Light. I will not be going back to this location again and will be changing locations soon. Not sure these two where but it felt racist !!!!! read more

Went to work out here. I am from out of state and visiting family. My husband and I had the black card and can go to any pf. We came in to get a work out in. The place was located near my sister place. The parking was not bad but if it gets busy there then you have to park a little further away. Once you walk in someone is there to greet you and clock you in. He was very friendly and even guided us to the men's changing room. The place was small but had all the machines and weights that were needed. Of course the place has its busy times and we were not there for that. The place was easy to find what you needed. It is basically like every other pf. I would go here again as I just sometimes want to get a work out in. read more

Ebony is the absolute BEST! I called to get info on the black card membership, she not only gave me all the info I needed but helped me better understand everything and how they run. She broke everything down, made it super easy to understand. Best of all, she made me feel comfortable and like I'd be right at home with this gym. First time coming into this location today and I must say I was impressed! It was super clean from the equipment to the locker rooms. I usually go to the one by my house in Lawrenceville but today stopped here when I get out of work. Compared to my usual spot this one was way more cleaner. Safe to say I will be going here every chance I get! Definitely recommend this location. Staff was nice and friendly as well :) read more

I was warned, and should have listened. First day using their weights on one of their machines, and they sounded the alarm saying I was making too much noise with that much weight. They accused me of dropping 300 lbs on my chest to make noise. First off I wasn't grunting, judging, or purposely dropping weights but she said I needed to lift 300 lbs softer above chest and to not slam it on my body! How does one slam 300lbs on ones chest and survive ? Take my word if you plan to work out with the weight don't fart bc they will sound the alarm on you! Go to LA Fitness ! Update:I've gotten to know the people running this gym, and the manager in particular is just amazing. I still think they could do a way better job with adding equipment, but they are very nice and the place has a great atmosphere. I'd love more equipment and some key storage still! --------- I joined this gym because the LA Fitness up the street just got too out of date and nasty to go to anymore. The price isn't bad to join, either. I've since gone to probably 20 different Planet Fitness clubs in numerous states, and I can say with no hesitation that this is the worst one, hands down. They have no kettlebells, ropes, or any of the other cool equipment better equipped gyms have. Just endless rows of elliptical machines and treadmills that are absolutely never full. Their equipment is really dated, too, with no phone-compatible features or anything. Apparently someone had their keys stolen here, so the solution? Well, remove the key rack entirely so now you have to carry your keys around with you while you work out. Great solution! How about little mini key lockers on the wall or something? read more

I've been going to this Planet Fitness location since I joined January of this year. I went to the Buford location once and let me say they have way more updated and versatile equipment. I came from One Life Fitness and there was sooo much room to do different things, I mean sandbag weights, fireman weights, an actual turf to do mini sprints and weight walks. Here...there is just 4 rows worth of elliptical and treadmills. I wish they had more space to do more free range workouts especially when dealing with cardio. Cardio is the best way to burn fat and doing the same thing everyday becomes tiring. I'm amazed at how the other gym had a lot more to offer than this location. I understand they are privately owned, so my advice to the owner - Please update your equipment and create more space for people to workout. The little corner on the right hand side of the building isn't even enough for 4 people to lay out mats and do workouts (which happened today) All in all, the gym is alright. I've been to better, but hey a workout is a workout right? On a more positive note the hydro massages are awesome! read more

My husband just tried to cancel his membership because he is not going due to the COVID pandemic. They make it nearly impossible to cancel. Can't do it on the website. Can't do it over the phone. You MUST go into the facility to cancel. I mean I get it, under normal circumstances this makes sense - but you'd think they'd adjust their policy until the pandemic is somewhat controlled. They are basically forcing us to pay the fees or take a risk to go into their facility. Bad policy. You'll get your $9 per month for the time being, and then never have our business again. read more

Thieves. Back in Feb of 2020 I damaged my lateral quad. It had nothing to do with the Gym but I wouldn't be able to use the facility. I went in on a Saturday and canceled (or so I thought) my membership. Then COVID hit. At 67 and being diabetic going to a gym was definitely out. In December I realized I had been being charged the monthly membership fee. I called one evening and was told I had to speak with a manager, but the manager wasn't in. Managers are only in Mon thru Fri from 9 to 5. Between my commute and time at work I am not available between 7 AM and 7 PM. I went on line to find a corporate phone number only to find they couldn't (wouldn't) help me. There was a customer service button but you can't send any e mails. I found something that said if I couldn't be there in person I could send a certified letter (what is this 1950?). Bottom line they keep taking money out of your account. Then when you do cancel they take another months payment. What would have happened If I died. they would still take payments until the bank account closed. read more

Pizza on the first Monday of each month?? Nice. The staff is very friendly and come across sincere when greeting you. Several stations around to clean off the equipment pre or post workout. The only thing I'm not a fan of are the elliptical machines because they don't elevate and the audio connection for the tvs is for an outdated iPod. However, lots of cardio machines, free weights and machine weights. Always clean, from the locker room to the workout floor. Lots of tvs. read more

The regional manager, Mike, called me from his personal cellphone to "ask me about the situation". I put that in quotes because he was doing most of the talking. He relayed to me the explanation Dominique and the trainee, Oakley, gave regarding the photo, and then explained to me that, "Dom's a really good guy" and that, "Everything was a big misunderstanding." He didn't ask for my side of things. He didn't take the few words I did get to insert into the conversation seriously. It honestly sounded like every newspaper article I've ever read about a woman accusing someone of sexual harassment. I'm genuinely concerned for the other female patrons of this establishment, because I can assure you if you have a problem, the management won't be doing anything to help you. read more

I joined this gym expecting a great experience don't be fooled. Any gym but this gym is a better gym. The rude young kids they have working here are rude and disrespectful. They say judgement free zone but that's a joke this gym is full of judgement. I decided on the black card so i could use the additional services like the message chairs and bring a guest, so that's a $22 month membership. Now the message chairs here are horrible and when bringing a guest the guest has to give a id have a picture taken even if under age 18. That's a joke this is a gym not a military base. LA Fitness let's you take up to 2 guest and doesn't harass them with the 3rd degree. Next this gym is pretty empty and the message chair here is only for 3 min. And they are not allowed to give you more than one token at a time even when gym is empty. I have to walk up to desk every 3 min to ask for token, relaxing right? I've never been in that chair with someone next to me. I was also told i was banned from the gym when bringing my 16yo son because i didn't want him to have his id info and pic on there file, for what no other gym requires this but they say it's for liability, i wonder how the other gyms do it then. Can't wait to cancel I'm stuck for 3 months. Management don't bother responding asking me to talk to management because i did already and the girl did nothing. read more

I like the gym. The staff is cool. One of the things I like is that they learn your name so when you come in it's "Hey Pierre, have a great workout". Starts the day off right. I come in early and the people in the early morning are great. There aren't a ton of free weight equipment but the ones there always well kept. The "hunk alarm thing" is pretty funny. I don't know how or why it goes off but when it does, everyone in the gym stops and looks around. Then you find the person that set it off and look at them like the kid who reminded the teacher we had homework last night. Pretttty funny. Planet fitness is more for people who are beginning their workouts. Not really for people who are bulky or want to get super big. The machines just don't have a ton of weight. I'm a pretty skinny guy and I can max out some of the machines with ease. Not an issue just an observation. My only thing is I wish there was a bigger stretching area. It's kinda compact so if it's busy, it get a little awkward stepping over someone doing yoga. I've been here for a couple months so I'll stay for a little while longer until I feel like I need a more "competitive" gym, for a lack of better words. Also, to the people mad about pizza, get over it. Pizza is the bomb! If you hate pizza, you hate me. And I don't know what I did to you. :) read more

Moved here from Alabama where I really enjoyed my Planet Fitness. Was gonna keep my membership here in Roswell...until I realized they had no wifi. No wifi in 2017 in a major gym? Sounds more like Planet Cheapy Cheap. And to make it worse...THERE IS NO SOAP IN THE SHOWERS. Let me repeat: THERE IS NO SOAP IN THE SHOWERS. This wasn't just a one day thing: the staff at the front desk confirmed the owner has chosen not to put soap in the showers. My name is Tonya. I'm a member at the planet fitness at 1570 Holcomb Bridge Rd. Roswell Ga. My clients and I have had a membership for 1yr and 4 months now. This is the only location that we attend because my clients live 10 minutes away. Since I have been a member and coming to this location the within the past year. There has been a high turn over rate and the level of respect, professionalism has went out of the window. I feel like I'm in prison every time I go to this gym. Today I came in and started to workout on the treadmill machine. I don't change in the locker room and haven't for over 5 or 6 months now. It was nasty floors and smells so I change into my workout clothes before coming to the gym. So I'm working out on the treadmill and a guy (new) never ever seen him before, came to the treadmill next to me and said that I needed to get off the treadmill and take my call or talk on my phone in the lobby somewhere then walked off. So I stopped my machine and walked over to the desk where he and one of the manager Frasier I believe was standing. I asked him so you walked over and interrupted me from exercising to tell me to not talk on the phone while on the treadmill. He said yes, I said the hell. I asked him where does it say I can't talk on my phone while exercising. He shrugged his shoulders and said I don't know, then turned and walked over to the Frasier lady and bent down to ask her a question. I asked again, show me where that states that at. NO ONE addressed me or gave me an answer. The assisted manager who is very unpleasant, not friendly, messy and unprofessional approaches the counter and proceeded to tell me to not talk to his employee like that. I told him to mind his business and that I asked a question and wanted an answer. He proceeded to tell me that he is the manager and that it was his business. The whole time the upper manager Frasier stood and watched. The gym manager Dominque approached me from behind and begin to intervene the situation. I explained to him what took place. And told him no one showed me anything. Dominque then said that it was in the locker room and a couple other places in the building and in your agreement. I said I had never noticed it. Then I asked Dominque how did the employee know I was talking on my phone? I may have been singing and just holding my phone. Or talking to myself holding my phone. I have 2 clients that are special needs that talk to themselves and sometimes pretend the are talking on there cell phones. They attend this gym as well and was there witnessing this. I could have issues no one knows about. And why does this rule apply to some and not all? I see other members working out on there phones. Or are they? They could be singing or talking to themselves. Who am I to worry about or bother people who pay to exercise like me to worry about if they are on there phones or not. No one complained or stated that they was being bothered or heard me on the phone or talking to myself. Everybody has phones and overall are on them. But only a few get harassed. I defiantly wonder is it because I'm Black. I see the employees on there cell phones, hanging out laughing and talking loud behind the counter. Especially if no manager isn't around. They employees sometimes greet you and or have certain people they greet. It's not welcoming at all. The employees are lazy and act like you owe them something. I'm really sick and tired of not being able to exercise in peace or feeling welcomed or comfortable. Dominque is the Only employee that greets, get to know the members on first name basis, smiles and works hard. The only one. And if he's out or not around the desk you will know. It's like playtime for the rest of the employees. This is NOT a friendly or professional environment. This facility treats you like you are in prison and like they are doing you a favor by being here. My clients who are special needs ask me to consider going to another gym because they are disappointed with the services. We are paying customers and deserve to be treated equally and respected. As I went to the counter to get info about how to contact someone about the issues that I have. The new guy looked in my face and laughed about the matter. Something needs to be done about the false advertisement of planet fitness. There is no way a person should have to pay to be controlled , disrespected and mistreated. I thought this place was ok until I had to cancel my membership for personal issues and was told one price but when I went In to cancel they told me more then twice the amount to cancel. The managers were rude and had no customer service skills and refused to work with me. So I had to contact the corporate office. Terrible customer service. Rules kept changing with no notifications to customers. My 18 yo has his own account and wanted to take his 14yo brother to work out. This is not allowed, and a parent has to be present. Inconvenient but my younger son really wanted to work out, so I drove up there. I took my membership card to the "manager " at the front desk to check in. Was then told I would need a birth certificate to allow him to work out. Ridiculous! Gave it 2 stars bc its a clean gym. But I Came here to try out a new PF in the area. This a nice gym if you want to bring a pillow and take a nap-Snoozeville! This gym's energy is dead as DISCO! I had a energy drink turn my music to its loudest volume and no luck. I left after trying to workout,the yawning overthrew the spirit to exercise. I went to the Roswell Planet Fitness who informed me that the balance was due that month because the payment did not go through. At this point, I had not received an email or phone call to let me know that it did not. When I checked, they had my card number on file but the expiration date had changed. It had not expired but had the date extended due to the re-issuance of the card to a more secure card. The clerk confirmed this. When I presented my card, they stated there would be a $10 late fee and even if they didn't charge the late fee then, that it would still need to be settled at some point in time in order for me to continue at the club. At no time did I get a call requesting new card information or to inform me that the charge did not go through. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in Planet Fitness at this time. For one thing, if I had a call or an email, I would have told you of the new expiration date which I was not aware of and thus avoided the non-payment. The crew was unsympathetic, unapologetic to a member who had been paying and willing to keep paying who only had a mishap with a credit card expiration date. read more

I've been a member at Planet Fitness for a few years now. This location is convenient to my work, so I transferred my membership here last summer. The employees were a huge help in that process, and they're constantly pleasant, polite, and welcoming. They make a point to remember their members and greet them personably, and even noted that they hadn't seen me for a bit and were glad I was back! That gives the whole experience a more personal feel, which adds to the trip there. It's clean, well-maintained, and there's plenty of equipment to work with. read more

For the most part the staff is very friendly but they don't always seem to be very knowledgeable about memberships.... .. Especially Silver Sneakers. It is always clean and they have a variety of equipment, although it would be nice if they had rowing machines. Nothing but rap music all day, all night. C'mon, you know there are additional genres of music you can work out to! Mix it up a little for all of your clients. I actually sent an email regarding this a few months ago and they didn't even bother with a response. No wi-fi! Seriously, this is 2017. All of the other local gyms offer free Wi-Fi. I like to listen to I heart radio when I work out... So I can choose my on genre For the money and location it works for me but they could make it better. read more

I have been coming to this gym for two years and have never regretted it. Everyone is friendly and I've never seen a broken machine. My last gym constantly had broken machines and juice heads grunting and hogging everything. Planet fitness also offers the massage tables and tanning for such a low cost! I'm a new resident around Roswell & came to this gym for the first time. I can honestly say out of all the Planet Fitness franchises I have been to, it's sad the closest one to me is not a very pleasant one. First off, the employees don't greet you the way I have always been greeted with a friendly smile & a warm welcome. Customer service needs improvement. Second off, women's locker room needed a little more cleaning. I went up to the front after my workout and noticed one of the employees was just sitting down at one of the tables in front of the gym eating his wings like there weren't guests around. Another employee was eating at the front of the counter while guests check in. Just go to the back or the employee room to eat during your break! There could be more equipment as well, like kettle balls and smaller thin dumbbells that I have seen in all the other gyms. I understand you come to a gym to workout but there are also other factors that affect your workout like a simple smile & "enjoy your workout" or a "hello" could make someone's day. What else are employees there for, if customer service is there last priority? Anyways, this gym definitely needs improvement in their employee & sanitary section. read more

Pretty new facility so all the machines and restroom amenities are in good working condition. I've been coming here about once a week for a few months or so and while it still never gets crowded there are definitely more people signing up. Staff is friendly. It's definitely a no-frills gym, but it's inexpensive and they do have a lot of equipment. I enjoy going there to use the arc trainer and the weight machines so it suits my needs right now. read more

These guys are inconsistent with application of the 'rules' one day it's okay for someone to wear spaghetti strap tanks, another it is not. And carrying on a conversation on your phone for the ENTIRE time you're on the treadmill - also okay, who cares if you annoy everyone within earshot. I'm surprised by the low ratings for this gym. Sure it's a no frills place, but for the price, I get more than expected. I go in the morning, and it's always clean. I joined the gym a year ago, went 3 times and never went back until about 2 months ago. I was just overwhelmed. When I finally went back the manager suggested that I meet with the fitness trainer and maybe start off with some classes. I met with the trainer, whom I didn't particularly care for, but scheduled some classes to take the next week. I was hesitant to go back because, like I said, I didn't have a great first impression of the trainer. So I waited a couple of weeks and finally went in for a class. I was pleasantly surprised to see a new trainer there. His name is Ozkar and he has been fantastic since day one! He has shown me so much and is very encouraging and motivating during the classes. I have learned so much from him about workouts, nutrition and how to get results! The entire staff is very friendly, always greeting everyone by name when they come in and when they leave. I go 4 to 5 times a week now and I just renewed my membership for another year! Great job, Ozkar! Thank you for making me WANT to come to the gym!
