I've had a very frustrating experience with the billing and management at Planet Fitness. My agreed monthly payment is $25.05 due on the 17th of each month. However, I am consistently being charged $40.05 on or before the 17th. The additional $15 is being labeled as a late fee -- yet it's being added before my payment is even due. Management claims my bank is declining the payment. I contacted my bank directly, and they confirmed there are no declined transactions on my account. They would absolutely be able to see if that were happening, and there is nothing showing any payment attempts being rejected. The most concerning part is how this has been handled. The manager was rude and dismissive during our conversation. While I was speaking with her about this billing issue, she stopped twice to have separate conversations with other people who walked up, even though she was in the middle of discussing my account. It felt unprofessional and disrespectful. The only solution offered was for me to come in and manually re-enter my banking information, which was already done months ago. That is, confirmed, not the issue. I also contacted corporate and was told there is nothing they can do about the late fees, which now total over $100. I simply want accurate billing and the removal of late fees that are being added before the due date and once that is done, I want to cancel this horrible membership. I've been a Black Card member at Planet Fitness specifically for red light therapy and tanning -- I work out at another gym and this is the location closest to my work, so convenience matters. Four weeks ago, I notified staff that 10 bulbs were out in the red light therapy unit. Since then, I've brought it up multiple times on multiple visits, and each time I was told "they'll be fixed next time" or "maintenance is coming." Fast forward to today -- nothing has been fixed. In fact, the problem has gotten worse. There are now approximately 20 bulbs out, meaning only about half the unit is functioning. I have photos documenting this. Today was the last straw. I was again told they might be fixed by the end of the week because the manager is on vacation. That's unacceptable. My membership fee comes out every month without fail, yet the one service I maintain this membership for is consistently unavailable or partially broken. Promises without follow-through don't cut it -- especially when this has been ongoing for over a month. This is not a cheap amenity, and it's not being maintained. The equipment is very inaccessible to short people. I almost fell off of the glute bridges machine multiple times, and the machine for working out calves adjusts but not short enough to use properly. I am in immense pain because the way it was put strain on the back of my knee rather than my actual muscles. Layout sucks, you cants find anything without hunting. Looks like they got some new equipment since my visit last weekend which was nice! But I had another bad experience yet again, after my workout my mom & I asked to go on the massage chair and were told there was somebody in there and it would be a 10 minute wait so we asked if we could do the hydro massage instead and were told the internet was down. Well if the internet is down, how are you able to check people in? As we walked up the employee was talking to a friend who clearly wasn't there to workout, so it seemed like she couldn't be bothered by us and wanted to socialize instead which really sucks because since I came last weekend my mom signed up for her own black card to use the spa services as well. This location is almost always packed. The treadmills are falling apart. I've had one with a torn off cup holder, multiple ones have been out of order almost every time I go, and today one just randomly shut off on me mid run! The guests here throw their bags on the floor, sit and talk on the phone while hogging equipment, throw their gym stuff on machines they aren't even using.. the amount of unaccompanied minors is crazy, a lot of the times it feels like a high school hang out spot. They need to crack down on the etiquette here and do better equipment maintenance. Most of the workers are very welcoming and friendly however. read more

I began attending this Planet Fitness Gym at the end of February 2024, I thought it was a good Gym to attend at first but then. I always brought my Gym bag on the floor due to a Medical History I have in case of an emergency. Several people also did the same and have their gym bags on the floor. Fast forward to December 2024, I was harassed several times about my gym bag after several months past by and after talking to Nikki D. I was told she would get back to me regarding there policy but I never heard from her regarding their policy. I went in to cancel my membership early December but Jesus wasn't able to cancel something simple that probably would take about 15 minutes. The Assistant General Manger "Saqueyah Moore" had to come and cancel but even she couldn't make that happen she had to involve Nikki D it took 45 minutes to cancel my membership. Even after canceling my membership they went ahead and charged my bank account and then charged a credit card for a full year after canceling my membership. I'm still dealing with all of my refunds. All of this over having a gym bag on the floor where people bring in gym bags to a gym. Who would have thought? They have homeless individuals come in the gym to use the shower but instead they steal peoples belongings from the lockers even with a lock, they also break in peoples cars and take their belongings. They also had an incident were a member of Planet Fitness was in the shower and a homeless person not just stoled there belongings while in the shower but he also stoled his CAR from the parking lot. If you're thinking of signing up with them anytime soon I would think twice and pay the extra money and know your belongings will be secured and safe and won't be harassed as I was. 1. Gym Bag 2. Came in at 9:00 pm 1/22/26 I wasn't greeted and was stared at while admitting my pass. a African American lady with giant hair told me I haven't paid so loudly with a laugh ; making me feel uncomfortable. she then tried to charge my account so I could get in but it wasn't accepted and that's fine . I usually don't do reviews or complaints this specific incident forced me to. I walked in last night at around 9:15pm and explained to the chick azhazd that works there that I have a membership but it is set for a different location and I'd like to upgrade my membership she asked me to scan in from the app then I scanned in through the phone app and she looked and it said my location was set at the Sacramento location. She responded saying yea you can't come here can you step to the side and call your home branch and they can change you but you also won't be able to change it back till 6 months after I responded saying yea I could do that but I'm here already can I just upgrade and just pay here or a one time fee to get in I don't even need to workout I'd just like to shower cause I just got off work she responded in a nonchalant, rude manner "sir I need you to step to the side it's nothing we can do you gotta call your main ranch. This place is kinda crazy I recently switched over from another gym for the lower price and I'm now understanding why I paid for the price at my other gym. There is one specific employee that works here and is the only one that gets on people about the weirdest things. I know it's policy but if that's the case it's weird! I came in some ugg boots just cause I was going to do some lifting no cardio and she said she couldn't let me in because they are house shoes and there's a policy against house shoes? But crocs are ok!? And then she got on someone for carrying a bag with their stuff. Apparently you have to put your stuff in a locker? I'm sorry I prefer my stuff near me. It's just too much, I don't think it's a big deal if someone carries their gym bag with them or wears closed toe shoes to the gym. Another thing you can't do is wear jeans to the gym or work boots???? If that's what someone is comfortable in then let them? This planet fitness have old machines, this Vacaville branch always asking for feedbacks but never listen. They have to rearrange their equipments where the cable machines need be moved behind the smith machines facing the mirrors so people won't hog the smith machines just to be on the mirrors (not using the smith machines). This is the only gym I know that the cable machines doesn't have mirrors to see your form. People here stay on smith machines for hours even they use only dumbbells because of the mirrors. The managers should do a better job. Then at peak hours (around 7pm-8pm) the staff decided to clean the dumbbells and dumbbell racks, took the staff a good 30-45 minutes to do all of them ruining a lot of members workout. See the photos with members waiting for the dumbbells to be back in place, the staff can do this not on peak hours (after 10pm for example), also at this very moment all the paper towels dispensers are empty?! wow the staff decided to clean but not putting out paper towels on the dispensers?! Plus the staff never greeted us nicely. Management needs to do a better job. Update: Business Manager responded to talk to the branch manager? Are you kidding me? I said that at the beginning that they ask for feedbacks all the time but never listen. Why don't you the one do that, talk to your branch managers. I tried going in with my little brother in he's 14 I was then told he had to leave and he wasn't allowed in when google says you need to be at least 13 with guardian consent then which my parents already gave consent just didn't fill a form out I'm 18 years old and asked if I could sign it and even my parents asked the same thing when I told them why wasn't I allowed to sign him up and go in I'm paying 25 a month just to not even be able to bring my brother a 14 year old Freshmen in? I'm super disappointed and I am actually canceling my monthly membership. I've probably kept this membership longer than I should've. But so many factors were keeping me here. The other night I came in to quite the disappointment. My favorite part of planet fitness was a 30 minute circuit workout. There was a dedicated station to work out my entire body in 30 minutes. Good- prices. Compared to InShape the prices are great. I don't mind the extra drive from my house either (I live closer to InShape). The circuit is nice but people don't use it how you're supposed to. They mostly use whatever machines they want in there but so far people have been pretty respectful of space and sharing. I love the perks of the hydrobeds, tanning, and the red light therapy with the black card membership. I utilize those a lot. This place is also less crowded than InShape. Bad- sadly, right now this list is longer but not enough to make me look for another gym. -No pool, hot tub, sauna, or steam room. I didn't use those enough at my other gym so it's not a deal breaker for me. -cleanliness- not the bed. Some of the machines smell like people that heavily smoke have laid on them for an extended amount of time. They provide spray cleaner for machine wipe down, but provide cheap brown paper towels so they tear easily and don't get the machines properly cleaned for the next persons use. Hence the cigarette smell. -Not a lot of equipment- it appears they have A LOT of cardio equipment but their free weight area is definitely lacking compared to InShape. -staff: So far, they're nice enough. I was grateful they didn't give me a tour as a new person, because... how embarrassing. But sometimes a little quick walk thru tour of the black card area (red light, tanning etc) would've been helpful. I made multiple trips to the front desk to ask questions about the equipment back there. Maybe it's a younger generation work ethic thing though.. who knows. -hydrobeds: my first 2 weeks the hydrobeds didn't work. They've since been fixed, but when attempting to use one, it wouldn't work so I had to use the hydrobeds that lays flat. Not a big deal I guess. -red light therapy: they have a 12 minute limit which is fine. I've noticed a few of their lightbulbs are out and some are dimming/flickering. They likely need to be replaced. Like I said, I'll continue there because of the black card perks. They also offer first responder discounts which is awesome. Overall, you get what you pay for. read more

Good value, friendly staff, clean facility, and great place to workout! I've been to a few different gyms around the area, but so far this has been my favorite spot - not just because it's the cheapest, but because it's the best deal overall. For $10/mo ($15/mo for no commitment or $22.99/mo for the black card), you have access to all the cardio equipment, weights, 30min workout, abs/stretching area, and locker rooms. I usually stop in right after work, get in a quick workout, then head home, so I don't really take advantage of the showers and everything. I always switch it up when it comes to cardio and love that it's never too packed that you have to wait for a machine. If you upgrade to the black card, you have access to the VIP spa area that offers tanning rooms, the total body enhancement machine, hydrospa massages and the massage chairs. If you're looking for a gym that does the job and doesn't break the bank, definitely check out Planet Fitness. My only suggestion is to add in some rowing machines. ;) read more

I like the place except all the young people that just hanged around on a machine. Do your set and get OFF. Some may not see this as a problem but the Aqua massage beds have been down for over a week waiting for IT to fix a wifi problem. That seems pretty dumb to be so long. Fix it! What a great find! I came to this gym as a guest of my son-in-law when my gym was not in the area. This place was large, properly ventilated, had tons of machines, and was very clean. I love that there is a area dedicated to abs as well as a section for circuit workouts. I am told the pricing is really good. I can get a great membership for $22 per month and there is another good one for $10 per month. There are personal trainers and group exercises. Sorry I didn't take pictures. read more
