The Planet Fitness El Dorado staff is what makes the place. If I were to give stars all my stars would go to the staff, which would be a five. Planet Fitness here had an upgrade. The Spa area which we pay extra for was not upgraded at all. The The reason why I'm posting today is because I went to the Pasadena Fairmont, PF, which was absolutely amazing. I finally know what it's like to sit on a massage chair, hydromassage, that actually massages you and relaxes you. The equipment is amazing. They have a circuit room with updated equipment. PF at El Dorado has taken their circuit out and they have a couple of pieces of equipment there. I'm saying this to say that we pay the same as the Pasadena PF. Please upgrade the Hydro massage the massage chair the red light and you might want to make our circuit room look better now that you've taken everything out. Please note that I've given a four because of your wonderful staff at El Dorado PF. The location would have a five if the equipment was updated in the spa that we're paying for. Thank you. The club manager is not responsible for the updating of the Black Spa area! I don't think Black Spa members should pay for an incomplete service. read more

I was under the impression it was canceled since I hadn't paid it in the last three months and there was no set amount of months on my contract. I also lost my job in that time so I figured it was for the best. They charged me three months late for the annual fee, the monthly fee and a late fee. I explained to them that this was my grocery money for the month and Thanksgiving is next week and they don't give a shit if you starve. If they had actually charged me what I actually owed. This location is leaps and bounds better than the Pasadena location! This location is smaller but the staff are eager to assist and the gym has an overall welcoming, clean feeling! This location also doesn't seem overcrowded as the Pasadena location although, I'm sure that also depends on time of the day. I have heard of security issues in the parking lot but we made sure not to leave anything of value in our vehicle. We are much happier with the experience here! read more

First time coming in today and wow! They are neat freaks!!! I love that. Since I was a virgin to planet fitness, I come to see what was all the hype about. The parking lot be packed and they play my type of music. I met a young lady at the desk (don't remember her name) but she gave me a tour. From top to bottom this place is clean. Almost every section we went in someone was cleaning off the machines. Secondly it's spacey all up and threw here. I love how it's sectioned off. It's a cardio room, 30 min workout room, stretch room, tanning room, hydration room, massage room and etccccc. Plus you can bring a friend for free anytime. Talk about perks!!! read more

Lets see what we have-maybe I change my membership from where I am. The workout area is very simple to maneuver through. The majority of areas are labeled as to what you will be working on. Nice!!! The have something called the Judgement Free Zone... When my took my tour my guide explained it to me. That's pretty cool- their philosophy and mission. Their memberships are comparable with other fitness clubs; however, they have a different spend that adds value to their membership. The club was clean from the front door to the showers. Very impressive. The manager here must be good with people and a good leader because of how the club looks and appears to be ran. read more

I have no baseline to compare this place to as this is the only gym membership I've ever had. In fact, I'd never worked out on a treadmill or elliptical at a gym before coming here with a friend to try it out. I tried at a hotel once and it sucked so bad, I was a little worried about here. But everything seems so new and in great condition. I was a little awkward on everything at first, but hey, we're all beginners at something at one time, right? I signed up online so never really got a tour or anything; just walked in and got my keychain and a t-shirt and was told to have a good workout. So that was a little disappointing to a gym newbie like myself. They do have classes and stuff though, but I have't tried those out yet. They have tons of elliptical machines, and treadmills, plus bikes and a few stair steppers and this one machine that looks like an elliptical but only works your legs. I have no clue what it is but it looks like a good workout! Thet don't have a ton of free weights, but I've never had to wait for any, so it's been fine. They have all the lower and upper body machines, plus a room for abs and core, and a cool circuit training room. Then they have an area with stability balls, bosu balls, kettlebells and ropes. I haven't seen any foam rollers though which I'm a little sad about. I love that everything is so clean and I do see people wiping down the machines after they use them; and some people wiping machines down before they use them. I should probably wipe down the hydromassage bed before i use it, but I don't. And speaking of the hydromassage bed. Oh. My. Goodness. This is so worth the black card membership! It's just what it says it is. A bed that uses warm water to massage you. It is so fantastic! I would get a membership to just use this for reals! They also have tanning, and some light room thing that helps something or another. I should use that and let y'all know. They also have a massage chair that compresses your legs but I haven't tried that yet, either. There's a lot to do here y'all! I love that they advertise as a judgment free zone, and I have only had one issue with a fellow customer talking bad about fat people working out. I see big people, buff people, little people, old people, young people, so many different kinds of people working out here, so if you're self conscious, don't be. So many different walks of life here! It's 24 hours which is awesome, as I like to get up super early to get in and get my workout done, and if I had to wait for a place to open I doubt I would use it much. Then it would be wasted money, then i would be pissed. So, yay for 24 hours! The dish network does go out during storms but I usually have my iPod so it doesn't bother me.They have a lot of tvs and then they have the Planet Fitness channel that plays music and has random motivations come across. I really enjoy working out here, and it's the perfect place for people who feel like they might not fit in at other places. The only downside...so much purple! But, for a hydromassage bed? Watch out for their cancellation policy. I have gone to this gym off and on 3 times. Paid the annual maintenance charge 3 times. (45/each time) Today, I went to cancel and told by Robert, the very rude Club Manager that couldn't cancel until I paid $10 in late charges. I was stunned and angry. I asked them if they had been paid for the month before, and yes they had been paid. I looked at my credit card statement and they were paid around the 20th same as always. It's my word against theirs and I think they were just trying to make some money before I quit the gym. Unbelievable. I will never, never, never go to another Planet Fitness again. read more

I started with Planet Fitness at this location and do like the way it is laid out. However, I have been going to the Pasadena location for some time now and while I don't like the layout as well; the staff, cleanliness and overall maintenance of the machines cannot be beat. With that said I do go to the Webster location on my way home from work and the staff is almost always standing and visiting behind the counter with no one cleaning the machines. The dust and grime on the machines are horrible. There are multiple machines that are in desperate need to be maintained. In my opinion this is a direct reflection of the management being oblivious to the lack of cleanliness in such a location. I think I may start going out of my way on the way home to go to where I know it's clean - Pasadena. read more

I was reluctant to shift from my local Y when it closed due to Covid, but I am glad I did. I am one of those who views a workout as a semi-spiritual experience, and the PF in Webster fits the bill. I especially like the 30-minute rotation and their business model as a whole. An ideology is essential to an exercise routine, and PF's no-judgment and "save the planet" motifs inspire one to press on. Clean, spacious, welcoming staff, clean showers and RRs. (No pressure either, unlike some places.) I would recommend PF to anyone who wants to begin or continue working out in the pandemic and beyond. All levels should be happy here, and I am thankful PF stayed open (with typical restrictions) during the recent chaos in our world. read more

As with all of these franchises, you get what you pay for. It's worse than buying a timeshare. No communication between staff and upper management, no communication between middle management and upper management.... rude, no customer service skills, they make it impossible to cancel. Always crowded, loud, equipment is constantly unavailable.... you're way better off buying equipment if your own and getting a workout buddy. read more

This Planet Fitness is one of the best I've ever been to! This one is freshly opened and in a great area, just not during traffic hours. The layout of the place is nice, open, and every room has plenty of space. There are lockers outside of the locker rooms by the front desk for those who don't wish to go back there. Inside of the locker rooms there are ample units to store your things and they maximized the space as almost a maze of lockers. The locker itself will fit a gym bag without having to turn it over, a small gripe of mine when I have to squish or place my bag oddly. Plenty of changing rooms and restrooms to handle high traffic. Lots of cardio machines to use and the standard amount of smith and weight machines, and a fixed weight area. They also have the standard 30 minute workout and ab workout rooms where you workout in a single room alternating equipment. The unique pieces of equipment that I've seen so far is the rope pulley in the 360 circuit room. It is a nice nice workout and gets the cardio up. The heavy rope also in that area was well, heavy. It was different in that is had a jacket over the rope making it more heavy than normal for nice cardio. There are a handful of stair masters, important to note as they're not at every location. There is also a step on scale in the locker rooms. Employees are great and friendly. The man at the front desk helped me with getting in even though I left my card, as I'm from a different gym he told me exactly what to do in order to obtain the right information. He had us register my SO as a guest as well, and informed us that each individual franchise needs to have him on file if he is to workout. The place is EXTREMELY organized. They stay on top of re racking weights and even have individual holders for the stabilizer balls. There was not much out of place and if there were anything it would get fixed quickly. There is not much to say as I regularly review Planet Fitness gyms. Still a great place to workout if you are just starting out and has everything you need to stay healthy, great monthly price with a reasonable annual fee. read more

I've been a member of planet fitness WEBSTER location for 7 years, and I've NEVER dealt with such disrespect in my life! I'm in the customer service industry, and it's sad to know that a manager can be so rude and escalate the situation. The manger Ivan here is the absolute worst! On top of him being very rude, he let me know that there was nobody else in a higher position above him that would assist me in that it would just go right back to him. he also stated that if I was unhappy with his gym, I could cancel my membership after being a member for seven years that's pretty disheartening. All of this came about because I had asked them if they could lower their fans. It is very hard to sweat it to get a good cardio in when you have two helicopter size fans on full blast. I didn't think that I was being unreasonable and I really didn't feel that the end result would be him telling me that he was gonna cancel my membership. The price tag is what draws me to this place. Plenty of cardio machines and all are brand new. I wish they had more space for free weights, but you get what you pay for. If your goal is to lose weight, this is definitely the place for you. Plenty of machines with no waiting around. If you are looking to bulk or get lean, I would suggest paying a little more at another gym that invest in free weights. This is a good first gym for most people, though the area is pretty sketchy. read more

I've been a member at planet fitness for almost 2 years and never had a bad experience .... I'm there at least 6 days a week at 3-4 am and know the staff very very well and consider it a home away from home. but today was the worst and most intimidating experience I've ever had at ANY gym I've been to. Today was my day off and decided to go in a little later than usual today around 10 am , I noticed this female trainer "shooing" ppl out and interrupting a ton of people's workouts, i thought it was so rude how she was approaching numerous people around the gym yelling and clapping her hands at them & telling them they need to get out of the area because she has a training going on , or even tapping on people and saying "you need to go" . Then while I was in the ab area she came up to me and approached me very rudely and said "you need to get out of this area" she was literally in my face almost like trying to come off "intimidating" there's a nicer way to approach someone and redirect them to other equipment, not just tell them that they need to go! I pay for my membership and am fully dedicated just as much as her clients are and i shouldn't be shooed out and treated less because I'm not taking her class. I see all her clients and most look super uncomfortable , she doesn't spot them or interact with them at all and I felt she broke the whole "no gym intimidation rule" that planet fitness is all about. There's a brand new 2 story fitness connection opening up soon next to my job by the end of the month , but I chose to stick with planet fitness but because of this i am now cancelling my membership thanks to this horrid experience I had , I feel super threatened to go back because of her nasty attitude and approach towards me . It was enough to down grade and make someone feel like they're not welcomed to something they're paying hard earned money for . Sorry planet fitness , it was good while it lasted but now I'm taking my fitness journey elsewhere. I will never forget this experience !!!! read more

The gym itself is great, however when attempting to cancel they make it very difficult and inconvenient. I moved out of state and forgot to cancel before leaving. They originally said I had to come in person to cancel. Then stated I could send a certified letter meaning I will have to pay to have that sent and wait for it to get there which more then likely wouldn't get there before the 10th costing me another month. I've fulfilled my year commitment. I'm not sure why I need to go in person just to say I don't want the membership. The manager was very rude when I spoke to him and asked if anything could be done. I would of continued the membership if there was a gym closer to me here. However I won't be using any planet fitness in the future due to this poor policy. read more

planet fitness has become a very good support for my exercise routine and is very Affordable

The associates at the front counter are not friendly or welcoming. They are usually too busy chatting with each other. The circuit is NOT closely monitored, like the sign says that it is supposed to be. People do NOT follow the rules of the circuit. They jump in front of people that are trying to use the circuit correctly. Then they proceed to do 3-4 sets, with several minutes between each set. You can start at any number that you want, but you are supposed to clean and switch when the red light comes on. If you don't, it throws off the people behind you. People are using the machines in the circuit because they don't want to wait for the one's on the main floor. If Planet Fitness is going to make the rules of the circuit and state that it will be monitored, then they should be responsible for speaking with the individuals that are not following the rules. It should NOT be the responsibility of the members that are following the rules. When this problem was brought up to one of the staff members, he said that they will try to have a member back in that area during busy times to clean and monitor. That was about a month ago, when it was said. I go to Planet Fitness 4-5 times per week and have NEVER seen a staff member back in that area. Planet fitness, you made the rule, so YOU need to be responsible for the follow through. I'm disappointed with the poor business management at Planet Fitness, thus far. read more
