Anyway, I just booked my 2nd trip through Amy and Planet Hoppers so this is a good reminder. My first trip was less than a year ago for my honeymoon all over Northern and Central Italy. We had an initial phone conversation to go over details, budget, and our likes/dislikes. It was really helpful. A few days later, Amy came back with an itinerary. After some feedback, she made some quick changes and gave us another itinerary. This continued on for maybe a week....about 4-5 revisions and she was more than happy to give us more time and help if we needed it. Wrapping up was really easy and she made everything so seamless. Perfect for a bride planning her wedding. And just today, I wrapped up another trip with Amy for Australia in the Fall. She was very knowledgable, warning us about the opposite weather and giving us suggestions on how many nights to stay and in which cities. I didn't expect that since we already had our own stops in mind, but it ended up being very helpful and we went with her recommendation. We just returned from our wonderful 2 week break, one week of which was spent in an all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic, and the second week in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I worked with Amy on my most recent trip to Brazil/Argentina - I normally do most of my trip planning myself, having traveled to quite a few countries in all of the continents except for the Antarctica and South America (until this trip). My husband and I asked Amy to help us plan a six-week trip through Europe for June and July 2012. This was our first trip to Europe. Amy was very patient as we finalized our itinerary and decided which cities to visit and how many days we would spend in each city (we ended up choosing 11 cities in five countries). Amy suggested some changes to our itinerary to make our travel time more efficient. She also worked within our budget. When we communicated that something was out of our price range, Amy gave us other options that better fit our budget. Amy made all of our flight and hotel reservations. She also arranged for the purchase of our Eurail Passes. She also included suggested train times and connections for each leg of our trip. Amy responded very quickly to our emails, usually within a couple of hours or so. All of our communication was through email. Amy also scheduled 1/2 day tours for us in most of the cities we visited. This was not something that we had asked about because it didn't even occur to us to do this, but it ended up being really helpful. On the first day in each city, the 1/2 day tour gave us a good overview of the city and its sites. From there, we figured out which museums/sites we wanted to return to. This was good for us as first-time visitors to Europe. Our trip was very smooth. We had no problems with any of our flights, hotel reservations, or scheduled tours. All of our hotels were very clean and conveniently located. At one point during the trip, we emailed a question to Amy about the next leg of our trip. She responded very quickly. Also, she sent us an email the day before our trip wishing us good travels, and we received another email from the day we returned to welcome us back. I appreciated that. Since this was our first trip to Europe, it was very helpful to have Amy's guidance and expertise. We had a lovely time in Europe, and I think it would had been much more stressful had we tried to arrange for all of our travels and hotels by ourselves. We found Amy while looking for a travel agent to help us plan our honeymoon to Greece. All the 5 star ratings caught our eye. She had to be pretty good, right? We're so glad we took the (not so big) leap of faith and contacted her. Our honeymoon turned out better than we could have hoped! Amy came up with an excellent itinerary based on our brief outline of where we wanted to go and how much we wanted to spend. We only asked to change one hotel. There wasn't anything wrong with the one Amy picked, we just found one we liked even more while researching. And they really came through on the one big problem we had... when I left my glasses in our rental car. To give a bit more background, I forgot all about the thanksgiving break and that I was supposed to take my family out to some place special. My family and I were planning a 2 week trip to Asia and I came across Planet Hoppers on Yelp (Thanks, Yelp!) Amy was great to work with, asking the pertinent questions upfront and really making sure to give us options while keeping our budget and timing in mind. We mainly used Planet Hoppers to book our flights and hotels, but I'm sure if we had asked Amy to help with any excursions and activities, she would have been great. I also feel like we got a really good deal; whenever someone found out how much we were paying, they made it a point to say how affordable it was. The only hiccup came up when we were in South Korea. We got to the airport, ready to take off for the next destination, but it turns out the airline had changed the flight schedule. This was done 2 weeks after our flights were originally booked (we had booked 7 months in advance), but we didn't find out about the change until we got to the airport as the flight was departing. It worked out fine, since we were able to get on a later flight, but a heads up would have been good. Moving forward, we ended up checking our flights a day or two before to make sure we were on schedule.
