They have breakfast sandwiches, paninis, and even kids options (Nutella and Granny Smith apple? Yes please!). I had the Roasted Turkey, which I learned was their best seller. The bread was lightly toasted and the sandwich had incredible flavor. They make their own pickled onions in house and I highly recommend you try them. Service was friendly and efficient. Our family was visiting Bend from out of town today, and while we drove through downtown, we saw a decent crowd at Planker and reasoned that people don't line up for bad sandwiches. Because it was so crowded, we got our order to go. It turns out that our order was missing a bag of chips and the side of Lil Mama's peppers that we ordered, and the bread was a little soggy from the sauce. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt--it was busy, they were rushing through orders, and they can't really control that seating is limited for COVID-19, so I can't judge too harshly that our experience wasn't perfect. Overall, this is a quality sandwich. I wouldn't say it's my favorite, but the flavor is great, the employees at the shop were courteous, and the menu has great options that makes me want to give this place another try. read more

All orders are prepared at the time of order and the food is fresh, hot, and flavorful. We ordered the smoked ham and cheese Panini with apple chutney and the warm Roasted Turkey. Both were very delicious and filling. The ham and cheese with the apple chutney was the perfect balance of salty sweet comfort food. Have a stressful day...give it a try...it will definitely put a smile on your face and satisfy your stomach. We go thr grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup and the Cuban. Sandwiches were on the small side for the price, but taste was on point. The grilled cheese and tomato soup was my favorite - just the right ount of cheese to bread ratio, paired with the slightly acidic tomato soup and really crunchy chips. The Cuban was good as well, but their picked were super super and there were a lot of them in the sandwich. Recommend asking for it on the side so you can adjust to your taste. Finally stopped in after years of wanting to try these highly rated sandos (try to avoid downtown if possible). It definitely did NOT disappoint! I was glad my son was willing to split some sandwiches so we could try multiple items. We split the Roasted Tri Tip and the Pork Belly. The pork belly is pretty much a Cuban sandwich minus the ham. So good! What's not to like about pork belly? The amount they use is perfect, giving you the satisfaction of pork belly while not feeling too indulgent for a midday meal. The amount of mustard the put on the sandwich is pretty assertive, but just how I like it (a wee bot much for my son - wuss). The bread was soft, yet crispy, and perfectly pressed. The Roast Tri Tip surprised me, as I ventured into this thinking I would prefer the Pork Belly. In the end, I was at a loss to decide which I prefered. The think that hooked me on the Tri Tip sandwich? other than the slightly sweet caramelized onions, yummy tri tip, and the generous portion of Gorgonzola sauce...? The bread! I always appreciate good bread on a sandwich and believe it can make or break a sandwich overall, but it's been a while since I was this excited about the bread on a sandwich. If you're ordering take-out, you either have to occupy one of the few seats to wait or stand to the side and get in the way of those ordering behind you. It's a small shop. Food: Sandwiches are the draw but they also serve a few breakfast items (all day) as well as burgers, pannini's and salads. None of the sandwiches are vegetarian but some of the other choices are. - Meatball sandwich, pretty solid. This is a messy affair, as it should be. I'd order this again. - Warm turkey sandwich, also good but maybe too salty for my tastes. And I'm not thrilled with the kaiser roll. - Soft drink selection is a bit eclectic. They got our order wrong - one of the sandwiches was missing, and we couldn't tell if we were charged for it because we didn't receive an itemized receipt, just a credit card receipt. After reading rave reviews on Yelp I got the meatball sub and it didn't disappoint. A nice level of spice, not overwhelming but very flavorful and a good size portion. My wife had the tuna club and I we agreed it was one of the best tuna club sandwiches we've ever had. I can't say exactly what it was about it that made it so good. It didn't have celery and I think that really made for a nice change for the usual. The flavors were great and all came together perfectly. The same was true of the chicken salad sandwich. My kids had the cheeseburger which they liked as well. The only reason I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is that they messed up the order for my youngest. She was really excited about the apples with nutella but they gave her the peanut butter and honey sandwich instead. This may seem like a strange mixup but those are right next to each other on the kids menu and I'm guessing they just didn't look carefully. She was really sad and when it comes to takeout you really have to double and triple check to make sure you've got the orders correct. Otherwise it can really ruin a takeout meal. The wife and I were on a short trip for the day and decided to spend some time in Bend. There we decided that we needed to get some lunch. Many choices when on Wall St as there is I think more restaurants than at an International airport at the food court. Planner caught our attention and in we went. First impression is this place is SMALL. Now I'm a big guy, so cramped places don't always work well for me. However we went up and ordered anyway. I had the Italian sandwich, which has a couple of different Italian meets, olive spread, Parmesan and Provolone and topped with Mama Lil's peppers. Heated and melted just right, this sandwich was a big success. My wife had the pork belly which is done Cuban style, Swiss, pickles, mustard on a pressed sourdough hoagie. The belly was delicious and my wife who is a big fan of pickles thoroughly enjoyed it, however for me there was just a bit too much pickle. Small, and not a deal killer by any means. Small hole in the wall, local beers on tap this is a great place to spend a lazy afternoon in Bend and have yourself a great sandwich.
