When we went in only to look around and get an idea of costs, we met Ken. He just showed us around and explained the various colors, wheels, lifts, seats, and fun options. In 45 minutes, we had determined exactly what we wanted and asked him to work up a cost. We bought it without searching anywhere else because our experience was like the previous reviews we read. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Ken, the owner, as he was out of town yesterday when I bought my custom cart--but he took the time on his own vacation to work out a deal with me over the phone. My husband and I are completely shocked to be the first ones posting a yelp review for Plano Golf Carts! Anyone looking to buy one needs to choose them, no question. We had SUCH a wonderful experience from start to finish with our customized refurbished golf cart. The owner has done such a fabulous job creating a shop that runs on integrity and transparency. Mike is an incredible asset to have, with such knowledge in the business!! To be quite honest, Mike is the main reason we opted to go with Plano Golf Carts over a well-known, bigger, local competitor. The local competitor was going to be cheaper in the end... but we truly could not tell you how different our experience was at each place. At PGC, Mike was able to answer every question and give us perspective about each aspect of the cart customization. He even let us see firsthand, some differences between items in their workshop. Having someone like Mike who can wear both hats; sales in the front of house AND works on the projects in the back... that's amazing and made us feel so confident about the project. We knew we could trust PGC would do an honest and great job with our cart... and we were absolutely right! (The other golf cart retailer had a much different approach... sales rep in the front couldn't answer any questions with specificity; the front was organized with a nice "showroom" type layout but no real insight into how the refurb projects operate.) We are so happy with our experience at PGC and could not recommend them more. Yes we paid a little more... but the peace of mind that comes with going with a business you can trust is priceless.
