Aw yessssss... we bought a golf cart. We just stopped by -I swear just to look!- and left proud owners of a brand new black on black gas golf cart. We are now one of the cool kids in the 'hood, watch out! Mike is super nice and helpful. He will go out of his way to explain the pluses and minuses of gas vs. electric and which cart he feels will best suit your needs. We got a good deal and he delivered it within a couple hours. We've already been on a few long rides around the hood and the lake and couldn't be happier. Now all it desperately needs is some flare- flames or rally stripes something!. Their shop is full of refurbished and new (and older models that are a deal) and all carts come with a good warranty and a honest handshake. I really had a positive experience with Mike. He is a straight forward, no nonsense kind of guy who is upfront about everything. My old cart had been sitting for about 4 years outside without use with the exception of rodents finding a happy home. They chewed up wiring and the seat. The carb was wasted and I had no clue if this thing was ever going to get going. It sat around for four years because it stopped running for me and I had no idea what had caused that. Like I said Mike was completely honest from the moment I brought this thing in. There were no surprises as far as expectations or as far as pricing. Mike contacted me at every step along the way to let me know what he was finding and what my cost would be to go forward. Mike fixed the cart for what I consider a fair price and gave me a killer deal on a custom seat he made for me to replace the chewed up old one. No doubt I will continue as a customer if I ever need any further repairs done or want to buy a new one. I appreciate business owners who are honest with you from the get go and who let you know what you are dealing with throughout the entire process. Quick back-story: In February 2021 I sent my EZ-GO electric cart to a place in Plano. They had the cart for two months, and when they returned it the work wasn't done to my satisfaction. After a few months of arguing back and forth about it, the place in Plano agreed to pick it up and try to make it right. After four more weeks, it came back wrong yet again. Out of sheer frustration, I called Mike's Motor Toys. Like every other shop in DFW, Mike's place is very busy. It was nice to learn that unlike other shops, Mike won't pick up your cart until he has time to work on it -- so that means it won't sit around in the shop for weeks or months on end. Now, keep in mind that Mike does NOT typically diagnose problems over the phone -- and that's a smart policy. Still, I explained the problem with my cart and he listened. And then, he did something truly remarkable. He told me what I could do to fix the issue on my own. He did more than that, but I don't want to over-sell my experience because he certainly didn't have to help me at all. Long story short, I got my cart running on my own with a fairly simple fix. It still needs a little more work, so now I know where I'll be sending it! Read Buddy F.'s review -- Mike is a salt-of-the-earth guy who tells it like it is. The good thing about that is that you'll always know what to expect. I'm looking forward to letting Mike work on my cart soon.
