Delicious mescal drink & ocean view

An Ensenada staple!!! BEAUTIFUL VIEWS, service, & all the above!! Been coming here for years & I can't wait to visit next time!

This place is exquisite. Situated directly on the Ocean in Ensenada Mexico. We were going to grab a drink after leaving a brewery just a few blocks down the street. We were the only people in the establishment. Please take note that this is over July 4th weekend & Mexico shut the border of Ensenada and surrounding cities to ensure it was not overcrowded with people who don't reside there. I think that was a good idea. It was interesting. The law states that if we wanted to have something to drinks we had to order food. We had just finished a delicious meal & weren't hungry, so fries it was. Lol. It was worth it. Keep in mind that if you want another drink you are required to order more food. I believe our servers names was Jorge. I apologize if I'm wrong. He was so kind, so nice, & so friendly & informative. We had some questions regarding the closures & he asked his Manager about it (it was where he had originally learned about them from the beginning. The menu I will say looked spectacular. Unfortunately as someone who does not eat meat or fish, there were only a few options on the menu. The entire menu looked tasty delicious & the few vegan/vegetarian options would be worth coming back for. It was currently closed due to COVID-19 however they have a Sky Bar on the rooftop which I can only imagine how gorgeous that view must be. ***Lastly, please be mindful that these are weird times in this world we live in. As we are all trying hard to get back to what is the new normal, remember that if don't want to follow the rules of any establishment (whether a restaurant grocery store, gas station, etcetera) you deffo do not have too; just remember they also don't have to serve you in any capacity that they don't want. Love you all.

Came pretty late in the night . Got the shrimp risotto. Sooooo good. 9ne of the best risottos I ever had. Wish they had desserts because yelp reviews made them look so good. Will definitely come back to try the desserts.

This is our favorite spot south of the border. The view is spectacular without the ocean breeze making you too cold. The staff is super accommodating and go above and beyond with their service and the food is fresh and delicious. We enjoyed some wine and fresh shrimp. The decor is so inviting. We can't wait to come back to enjoy more menu items.

Planta Baja is one of the standout restaurants in El Sauzal, which has an up-and-coming restaurant row just north of el centro Ensenada, MX. The food here is delicious and fresh, with large portions, and is plated quite nicely (yes, IG friendly!!). The views of the ocean are great and the service is impeccable. They also have a nice selection of wines and local craft beers. I dined here last weekend with a few friends and we were all impressed. Normally, epic ocean views translate to weak food showings but consider Planta Baja the rare exception. Can't wait to come back here upon my next visit to Ensenada, MX to try even more of their excellent fare. **Pro-tip:** Pay in pesos using your CC (your CC will give you the best exchange rate MXN to USD). You will save around 10% this way versus charging in dollars. Most restaurants work this way in Baja Cali.

    After sunset, margaritas and dinner.

Views were great! I got the shrimp risotto and loved it!! Everyone who tried it said it was the best thing. I didn't get to try any one else's food but it looked delicious. Good place for dinner and drinks. Very spacious for our group of 10 and service was excellent!

Margarita and House Pasta with Shrimp, bacon, and Mushrooms

Great quality food. Both of our meals you can tell were made with the best ingredients. The margarita was one of the best margaritas in Ensenada.

Salad with some kind of disgusting spaghetti sauce dressing. Be sure to ask about the dressing options.

This is a fabulous little restaurant on the beach side of the highway on the northern end of town. It's a little hard to find with your GPS but its just across the street and south of the Oxxo by Taqueria el Trailero. The food is fantastic and the view is even better. We started with commentary freshly made bread followed by a fish ceviche rich in flavor and color. The charcuterie and meat board had a nice selection with a satisfying range of favors. The salad did disappoint but only because it was served with a dressing that tasted like bolognese sauce. I thought it was a mistake but by the time the waiter told us it was actually salad dressing we'd given up and moved on. The garlic shrimp were fresh, juicy, flavorful and cooked to perfection. Rissoto was awesome but extremely rich and more fit for sharing than trying to eat the whole thing. Hands down best dish of the night was the pork belly. Epic. Dessert was light and fruity and a perfect finish.

Cheese board and pulpo tostadas, yum!

Planta Baja's food is delicious! Their homemade olives are so good that we bought a batch to take home.

    Their hamburger

Amazing place to visit, and honestly a "must go"! They have some American dishes that are cooked amazingly, and it was nice if you're stomach can't handle Mexican food for days on end- so I was very excited when I saw the hamburger! The views are amazing, there's multiple options where you'd like to sit and how enclosed you'd like to be or not The ramps are wooden which I loved, gave the place an amazing feel The pina colada was amazing, I couldn't taste alcohol so it was a great sweet drink We had a group of 14 and they accommodated us so well. They gave complimentary bread which was amazing, honestly better than any Panera, Olive Garden, whatever lol Everyone in our group raves about their food!

Amazing food! Excellent service. Pork tacos, Fish tacos and the Chefs new dessert creation was a masterpiece.

Perched on a cliff above the Pacific with nothing but open ocean in front of you, this is honestly one of the most iconic spots in all of Valle and I will die on that hill (pun very much intended). Getting there is part of the experience. You park at the bottom, hop on a shuttle, and ride up a winding dirt road to the bar. The drivers are so fun and honestly the whole shuttle vibe is its own thing. People are dancing, singing, already in a great mood before they even arrive. Instant friends every time. Once you're up top, the drinks are flowing and the sunset views are absolutely unreal. I haven't done a full meal here but the chips alone deserve their own Yelp page. Homemade, crunchy, covered in cheese. I could have just eaten those and been completely happy. Oh and one more thing, and I'm being completely serious: please go to the bathroom. Even if you don't need to. Especially if you don't need to. The views from the restroom might be better than some restaurants I've paid full price to eat at. Bar Bura is one of those places I'll keep coming back to no matter how many times I've been. If you haven't gone yet, fix that immediately.

She recommended a milk punch cocktail that incorporated Sotol, which is kind of like tequila but instead of fermenting agave, it ferments Dasylirion and is made only in Chihuahua. Then she recommended a cocktail that leverages a Mexican produced corn liquor in a Negroni but with gin subbed with mezcal. Both of these cocktails are bartenders choice and not on the menu, but the fact that they can execute such innovative cocktails so we'll speaks to the level of dedication bartenders at this bar have. Renee even gave pointers as to where I might be able to buy some of the bottles they use and for a few other bars of similar caliber to visit nearby. Instead of ending my trip at Nortico as previously planned, she helped me find a really cool new bar in Tijuana! Highly recommend.

I ordered the Pepino Misionero which is a cucumber drink. I loooooooooveeee my cucumber drinks! This one felt like a mojito in that there were muddled ingredients in it. I loved the drink but I typically don't order mojitos because I find them difficult to drink and I hate getting the leaves in my mouth. I had the same difficulty with the Pepino Misionero. The ambiance is modern with both indoor and outdoor seating. There is a gorgeous fire pit right in the middle of the patio which gives off nice heat without making your hair smell like firewood. It's the perfect place to grab a few drinks before heading down for your dinner reservation at Mision 19 but it's not a place I would seek out just to drink at for the night. The prices are very similar to the prices you would pay for cocktails in the states. Not overly expensive, just more expensive than other drink prices in Mexico. It was a bit dead when we arrived since it was fairly early in the night so I'd be curious to feel the vibe of the place when it's more packed.

Exceptional Hosting by Keagan at Side Bar and Gaslamplighter!…read more If you are planning a corporate event, team-bonding outing, or just looking for an unforgettable night out in San Diego, you absolutely need to visit Side Bar and Gaslamplighter. Our team was in town for our quarterly QBR last quarter, and we went out afterward to let loose on the town. We randomly came across Side Bar on a Thursday night and met Blake the manager who introduced us to Keagan, who completely transformed our entire trip. He was the ultimate curator! He immediately assessed our group's vibe, realized we were out for team bonding, and invited us right in, securing a fantastic VIP booth for my team. After a few shots and grooving to great music, he personally ushered us over to Gaslamplighter for a change of scenery, where we spent the rest of the night enjoying amazing drinks and live karaoke. The experience was so incredible that on our second night out, after hopping around various other bars in the Gaslamp Quarter, our team unanimously decided to end our night right back at Side Bar. Once again, Keagan took flawless care of us. He hooked us up with another booth and a few bottles. We happened to be celebrating a team member's birthday that night, and Keagan made it unforgettable. The staff brought out the full VIP treatment with bright sparklers and "Happy Birthday" signs to close out the night in style. What makes Keagan so special is his attention to detail. Even while working a packed club and making his rounds to ensure everyone was taken care of, he constantly circled back to check on our group. He made every single person on our team feel incredibly important and looked after on both nights. We walked away with fantastic pictures, amazing team memories, and a strong desire to return. Shout out to Keagan and the exceptional teams at both Side Bar and Gaslamplighter; memories were truly made! I highly recommend these venues for any group outing in downtown San Diego.

The place has a nice vibe and our table came with a liquor bottle of our choice, champagne and a cute board+slide show of our bride. The only reason why I'm giving it 3 stars is because I don't like how they allow everyone to the back once it gets busy. We had people trying to get on top of our reservation and there was a lot least 2-3 areas where people threw up around us that wasn't cleaned. It became VERY crowded and honestly uncomfortable, it didn't seem like there was any staff moderation for people being overly intoxicated or over capacity. The place is beautiful but I just had better experiences even at smaller venues.
