Fabulous place to eat. My partner and I have been eating here for 13 years. In that time, there might have been 3 occasions where a dish that I normally liked was a little off. Renate, the owner and chef, is simply adorable and her food is DELICIOUS! It is buffet style. There are usually 3 or 4 meat dishes, 6 to 8 vegetable dishes, basic salad, several different kinds of desserts. The price includes your choice of coffee, tea, lemonade or water. Canned sodas are available for $1.00 each. There are some specialties of the house that you must try - homemade cornbread dressing with homemade cranberry sauce, banana pudding (closer to a mousse), bread pudding, Rouladen, Rollbraten, Hershey pie and many more. I visited Plantation House and Garden on Friday October 26, 2018, to enjoy their Octoberfest buffet. I drive a bit to get to their restaurant (have been multiple times before), but I consider the time and expense well worth it. The food, as well as the service, is very good. The restaurant is quite busy sometimes, but despite this, they bend over backwards to make sure you have a good experience (they aim to get you seated quickly). The staff is very friendly, personable, and attentive to your needs (clearing tables, asking if you need anything, etc). Yes, all of those were MY choices indeed. It was also MY choice, and as you said, something I fought for to voice my opinion. I did that, and that was good enough for me. When the officer's asked what was wrong with your place, I told them, and they CHOOSE NOT to visit. Thank you for your response, even though it was many months late. Good luck to your eatery, but I was passing last week in search of this year's holiday venue, and your sign was DOWN. Wonderful find of a restaurant. Nice atmosphere. Fantastic food. Superb service. Spoke with the chef and she even shared some of her recipes with me. Staff is very courteous and efficient. We have enjoyed many meals at the Plantation House since we have discovered its existence. Both the food and service are excellent and I absolutely love the home atmosphere. I feel like I am at my Grandparents' home when we are there which makes it hard for me to leave. I recommend this restaurant to anybody who wants some good home cooking. read more

This is probably my favorite place to eat. If you're going to a buffet I recommend this one. The service here is amazing and they have a tremendous variety of foods. I go here every Sunday it's a tradition. I like how all the waiters/waitresses are really friendly and how delicious the food is. read more

Well I've ate there and it was great. I've never been to a place with suck good fried chicken. Way better then kFC and churches.
