    Brisket melt waffle

The great southern box food hall is a nice place to hang, especially when the weather is nice outside. However on hot days, it's best to chill inside. The inside is just as nice as the outdoor area but with the comfort of good A/C and good vibes. As expected, we know going into these food stalls that the prices will be premium due to the expected high rent that these places probably pay. So when we saw waffle sandwich bar, we thought the prices seemed reasonable. The brisket melt waffle sandwich looked reasonable at $18. With taxes and the service fee that all restaurants charge at the hall, it came out to $20. We were expecting a generous based on the price, but we were extremely disappointed with the 3 slices of chopped brisket in the sandwich, and the small size of the waffles. The flavor was good but I'm worried this place won't be able to survive as I am usually pretty forgiving with restaurants but I had to be honest about our experience here. I hope if they continue charging these prices that they'll be a bit more generous with their portion size going forward.

Simply amazing churro waffle sticks with dulce de leche and ice cream topping. Absolutely delightful! The Waffle Sandwich Bar also sponsored a Bachata dance class for free this afternoon. A super-neat place to hang out, and maybe pick up some dance skills occasionally.

Located in the Great Southern Box Co. food hall, this was my first time trying this spot. One of the major things to note is the amount of gluten, vegan, and dairy free options available. What a win for those dietary needs. Everyone was eager to make recommendations. I was surprised by the quite large menu that includes all day breakfast options. I got two waffles: the Burrata and Turkey and the Nutella and Fruit. Each was made to order and served fresh. Nice portions. Plenty of seating throughout the hall.

Churro waffle with vanilla ice cream and dulce de leche on the side!!

It is a family owned restaurant founded by New York natives who noticed a gap in Central Florida for high quality, authentic New York style diner food. The original location opened on Universal Boulevard in the Lake Cay area, near Universal Orlando and SeaWorld. The restaurant quickly became popular with both locals and vacationers looking for an alternative to the standard hotel breakfast buffet. Following the success of the Universal Boulevard location, the owners expanded to additional Central Florida locations, including Lake Buena Vista and Dr. Phillips. The Diner has gained attention for its creative twists on classic comfort food. One of its signature dishes is the Bennyffle a combination of Eggs Benedict served over a waffle. The menu also features specialty cereal pancakes, including Fruity Pebbles and Oreo Crunch, along with classics such as chicken and waffles. In July 2026, the Universal Boulevard location even became the center of a viral national news story after a family of seven including children reportedly walked out on a $298.47 breakfast bill. The story highlighted how hard family businesses work and how an incident like this can affect them. I recently met up with a group of friends at The Diner for brunch. The Diner can get crowded, and they do not take reservations. I am grateful that one of my friends arrived very early to wait for a table for our group. The diner offers a selection of coffee drinks as well as alcoholic beverages, making it a festive spot for brunch. Since I had a long day ahead, I stuck with coffee and ordered the signature chicken and waffles. The combination was delicious. The crispy, savory fried chicken was the perfect partner to the soft, buttery waffles, while the warm, sweet maple syrup contrasted to the salty chicken. It was a very large portion and I really enjoyed my meal. The service was excellent, and the staff were very accommodating when we needed several separate checks. I loved my visit to The Diner, and the experience was made even better by sharing brunch with a great group of friends. Good food, friendly service, and even better company made for a memorable morning.

After searching yelp for a breakfast/lunch place, The Diner seemed to hit the mark. They do not take reservations and your entire party must be present when your table is ready. I arrived early and put my name on the list so by the time everyone arrived, our table was ready! Heather was our server and she was amazing. She made our experience here easy & stress free. The 6 of us were able to chat, catch up, eat and drink in a timely manner. We were not rushed which is always a plus. I ordered the Belgium waffle with a scrambled egg & an ice mocha latte. Perfect amount of food for me. Ariel ordered the fried chicken and waffles which was huge. A few ordered the chicken Caesar wrap which looked very good. I would definitely go back the next time i am in town. *Prices are moderate *Plenty of parking in the lot ~ and that's all I have to say about that...

I stopped in the afternoon just to see what they had and if it would be worth the wait. The menu was surprisingly huge for such a small coffee shop. I decided on their seasonal peanut butter latte. Finding a seat was a little bit of a challenge because of how crowded it was, but I was able too. It was very loud from all the people and blaring music, so this place would not be ideal for a quiet work session. I was surprised by how friendly everybody was in there, including the staff and patrons. The peanut butter latte was amazing. Even the girl next me said it was good before I got to try a sip. The cold foam was the best part, super sweet and peanut butter flavored. The latte itself wasn't overly sweet, which I really liked. I love that this coffee shop has a good mix of original artisanal flavors and yummy classics. I can't wait to come back for more seasonal drink!

My partner had the best breakfast, too. He ordered the short rib, and it was incredibly tender and flavorful. The potatoes were perfectly crispy, just the way we like them! It was bagged nicely and well organized. The omelette was a generous sized portion with plenty of tender chicken, peppers, and cheese. My plate came loaded with crispy hash browns (bonus points for the ketchup swirl art), over-easy eggs, toast, and sausage patties. Nothing fancy, just solid diner comfort food done right. The waffles were golden and fluffy with that classic WH flavor you cannot really replicate anywhere else. We also got one topped with chocolate chips for the table, a solid move if you like dessert-for-breakfast energy. Coffee flowed, syrup poured, and my plate looked like the kind of meal you would see in a road trip montage. Service was friendly and quick. The place had its usual kind of organized chaos vibe. Tables are close, the grill is sizzling non stop, and you might have to tune out the chatter around you. Honestly that is part of the charm. Overall, this Waffle House hit the spot. Nothing groundbreaking, but if you are craving a no frills greasy spoon breakfast that will actually fill you up and make you happy, you are in the right place.
