Regardless, I appreciate that they have a great selection of plants, and I particularly love shopping their small plants selection. They have a pretty solid batch of what's in season for a more affordable price, and I've had much better luck raising them as opposed to their bigger plants. The staff is knowledgeable and efficient. They also have workshops and plenty of supplies, so it's a nice one-stop shop (and I'm trying to keep this review separate from their restaurant). Their pots selection is also generally good, although they can be just as seasonal as the plants. Overall, I recommend checking out Bowood Farms, if not just for the nice little stroll.

I love being able to learn techniques and tricks, i get to create a keepsake and can take what I've learned with me! After I moved from the area I honestly figured I wouldn't find myself back at Mid Rivers to go but today ended up doing just that as my husband needed to go to another store there. I have wanted a Monstera for quite awhile and happened to see one that looked really healthy and full in the window display. I was glad that I stopped in! The owner immediately said hello upon us entering the store and let us know she was there if we had any questions. The prices are amazing for the quality of product she has. It wasn't too long ago monstera were hard to find and triple the cost, especially for the size, fullness, and finistrations the lot of Monstera has. I also saw a few syngonium (possibly strawberry) and really nice antherium and so many golden Pothos. Had I found a scindapsis exotica or pearls and jade or marble queen I would have walked out with several more. I do live in an area that has several amazing small greenhouses so I won't honestly go out of my way to drive across St Louis to St Charles but next time I am visiting family or find myself at Mid Rivers for a specific reason, I will certainly stop back in and support this cute little gem.

Ordered flowers for my mother's wake with my dad. We ordered a large arrangement for the casket and…read more2 for the side podiums. We also added another arrangement to be displayed on a tripod. The flowers were delivered but they missed the second arrangement for the podium. My dad was already upset considering the event so I tried to call the florist to inquire. It was a Sunday and the shop was closed. We had to display a different arrangement that was sent by family friends but it didn't match what we ordered. In general, the flowers arrangements were pretty but the quality of flowers were just ok and they weren't as full as expected. We also noticed some were already brown on the edges at the wake-day of delivery. I feel like they didn't use the freshest flowers. The arrangement on the tripod was much smaller than displayed in the photo book and had lots of welted flowers. We also paid $215 for that arrangement and it wasn't nearly as full as the picture in the book they showed us. Overall, disappointed. I did reach out on Monday and the shop employee was apologetic and issued a partial refund to my dad for the missing arrangement. Not happy that we had to reach out, instead of the shop, to inquire about our missing flower order. Not sure if adding to the order caused confusion. Wasn't given any type of reason but also didn't care by that point.
