The food and owner are wonderful, I just wish there was a bit more room for the seating area. I recommend the Bob Marley bowl

Went here with a vegetarian friend, who is also not a huge fan of the veggie burgers that taste too…read moremuch like meat. It was a risk, because you know how vegetarians can get about cheese (I'm vegan now. When I used to be vegetarian, I'd get annoyed if a meal didn't have cheese in it, or if it had vegan cheese. I've noticed that a lot of my currently vegetarian friends are the same.) , but I figured that he would be cool about it, because he knew that there wasn't much else in the area that I could eat that had a/c. I love my city, but the restaurants need to get their a/c game in order. This is a slightly elevated burger joint. The options are meant to be on the healthier side, so they do stuff like sweet potato fries or a side salad with the burgers instead of potato fries. Here's my tip: get the salad. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how much flavour they can pack into a small but mighty green salad with some dressing on the side. It'll mean that you can avoid eating sweet potatoes (unless you like sweet potato, in which case, you're at the right place). That said, the side salad was excellent. Crisp greens, and a few bonus veg, with a creamy tasting dressing. No complaints, 5 stars. My friend got the black bean burger, and I got the chickpea burger. We got the burgers exactly a said on the menu with no customisation. This was a very VERY good choice. The chefs at Brick City Vegan know what they're doing, and they absolutely season the heck out of the food. Everything tasted so good, and the table fell silent as we demolished the food in front of us in the cool a/c. There was a napkin dispenser on the table, which you will need, because the burgers are generously sauced, and a bit of a mess to eat. Who cares? The food is incredible, and just the right amount of filling. Both of us ate every last morsel, and left feeling satisfied. For both of our burgers, I think it was less than $30 grand total after taxes. Not the cheapest meal, but certainly not at all expensive by vegan standards.

Loved the vibe here…read more Had a business lunch here and honestly it was a great choice. I can't take credit for choosing it. A super comfortable, not too loud or busy atmosphere. I got the Matcha pineapple juice and a Cesar salmon salad. The dressing was super different. It was a tomato Caesar which I've never encountered in the wild. That was absolutely delicious. I'd love to stop back and try some other things. If you're around here you gotta check it out.

The location is similar - a place that wouldn't be on your radar unless you know. I say all that to say, upon pulling up I remembered attending a private birthday party and some community networking events at Blueprint Cafe! We selected our own seating upon entry. What became our waiter offered a high chair for the baby. I get easily overwhelmed by large menus so I just glanced at the board but focused primarily on the brunch menu. I ordered the Irish Cream French toast which came with chicken. I also ordered a pineapple matcha lemonade. The pineapple matcha lemonade came in a bottle, which met my needs (juggling the baby and myself). I loved how refreshing and sweet it was! I really wanted another but didn't want to see greedy. The French toast was perfect. Not too sweet, light and fluffy. It paired well with the savory strips of chicken which came with a secret sauce. I forgot how nice of an addition Blueprint Cafe Lounge was to the Ironbound section. I'm looking forward to returning this summer and using the outdoor seating!

I love oxtail Caribbean-style, and this dish did NOT disappoint. The oxtail was delicious and full of flavor, and the sauce paired perfectly with the rice and peas and a side of cabbage. They were also kind enough to bring out extra plantains... YUM! My husband ordered the fresh roti with curry chicken, and it was huge--definitely big enough to share. He also loved the oxtail egg roll; it looked super crunchy and absolutely delicious. We'll definitely be back! Few tips: - Small parking lot but there's residential streets to park at - They accept Apple Pay - They serve cocoa bread with their patties!!! YES PLEASE! We will definitely be back! Let me tell you how next time I'm in Jersey I'm gonna have to get a catering size order of them patties with a side of Jamaican Ginger Beer and be left alone. Check this spot out!!! It's a must.
