Daniel Kim is extremely concerning, in my experience. For approximately six months, I repeatedly reported serious symptoms and did not receive appropriate follow-up care. My condition eventually progressed to sepsis. I have medical records and lab results documenting the infection and the progression of my condition. During this same period, more than $6,000 of my own funds were withheld for about six months. The money was only returned after I sent a formal demand letter indicating I would file a small claims case. I have documentation of the returned check. Throughout treatment I was prescribed large amounts of opioid pain medication while my underlying medical issue remained unresolved. I ultimately developed NECROSIS / (tissue death) in both breasts and required mandatory explant surgery. I am now permanently disfigured as a result of the complications and delayed care. Another serious concern was that I previously had breast mesh associated with complications, yet there were plans discussed to place additional mesh. Given the problems I was already experiencing, this raised significant concerns for me. Because of these events, including the prolonged lack of response to worsening symptoms, the financial dispute, and the outcome of my medical condition, I cannot recommend this provider. I was wanting to build a little confidence back after losing weight after baby and I was recommended by an employee to DR Kim. I went in for Botox and some lip filler, the filler didn't go so well the first pass on my top lip was uneven. When I looked at it I let him know and the nurse in the room also said yes this side looks fuller so another pass on the top then a pass on on the lower lip. Dr Kim then leaves immediately after not informing me of any after care, though it was a little weird but I guess he needed to move on. I wait for the swelling to go down and here we are my bottom lip is fuller on one side . When I called they said yes we can get that fixed come in for a touch up. when I go in Dr Kim said yes I do see what your talking about but he can not fix it unless I pay for more filler. he sits there with a smile and a condescending grin and completely brushes me off. Now I'm just stuck with botched lips because he doesn't take pride in his work and can give a shitless about messing up my face. I think 10 years after a procedure is a great time to write a review. Dr Kim performed an eye-lift and forehead lift on me. I felt the forehead lift was unnecessary, I had absolutely no wrinkles- and still don't. The result was that it changed my hair line, taking 10 years before my bangs grew back in. The assistant who removed the stitches in my eyes was very clumsy, I was pulling out the forgotten stitches for days, net result was scarring. The laser resurfacing (for an extra charge) was temporary at best, the procedure had to be repeated three times and really didn't make much difference. I had a consultation with Dr Kachenmister this year about a tummy tuck. He told me all about his limitations... and a high price to boot. I ended up going to the plastic surgeon that my dermatologist recommended. The quality of the procedure was fantastic and a better price (even in Newport). A very professional office also. I'm a 65 year-old male and a retired tech executive. I elected to have facial and neck plastic surgery performed by Dr. Daniel Kim in May 2018. I had already researched several Orange County surgeons and various procedures online and spoke with several friends who have had plastic surgery in the past. My granddaughter fell off our sofa, hit the edge of our coffee table and sustained a gruesome laceration at left eyebrow level. She was visiting from Seattle, leaving the next day with her mom, and this accident was absolutely horrific-at least to her grandma! We rushed to Mission ER; almost in a panic. Every single person we came in contact with (including the gentleman helping with parking) was so kind to all three of us. Dr. Lee came in to examine my granddaughter less than 2 hrs. later. He was so gentle, kind, and wonderful to not only my granddaughter, but calm and encouraging to my daughter as well. He and his team of wonderful nurses/assistants stitched her up internally and externally. Mind you, she's 3 1/2 and was very scared when she arrived; with a gauze bandage & tape on her nose. After the surgery, she looked 1,000% better, and felt good, too! They were able to fly home the next day, and will have her stiches out next Monday (11-20-17). I am so very thankful that she didn't lose an eye, and ever so grateful to Dr. Lee and the wonderful treatment she (& my daughter & I) received with everyone we came in contact with. After receiving a referral from my primary care physician (for my daughter) I called to schedule her appointment. In the phone call I made sure to inform the front desk person that I was calling about my infant daughter who has a webbed foot, and that it was not an orthopedic issue. The person answering my call assured me that this was fine and scheduled the next available appointment for 3 weeks later. This morning is the appointment for the consult. I receive a call from the office, assuming it was to confirm my appointment. I have also taken the day off of work. She informs me that the Dr has just looked over his appointments for the day, and asked her to call and cancel, since he does not perform this type of surgery. He saved my life. Dr Michael Lee saved my life today. I was suffering from an undiagnosed infection caused by another top surgeon in Orange County. During my ER stay, Dr Lee came to help me. He explained everything in detail. His bedside manner is tremendously respectful. I was very embarrassed and shy, but his presence helped me feel at ease. BIG MISTAKE!! About a year and a half ago, had my tummy tuck with Dr. Daniel Kim. first the tummy tuck, 6 months later liposuction to get all the fats he was not able to get rid of the first time. every time after the surgery I asked him why my tummy is still not flat and I dont have a waistline, he answered " its too soon and it takes about a year for your body to show and I need to wait for all the swelling and bloating to be gone" His other answer was " if you dont have a flat tummy is because of your inner organ fat " !? I went and got 2 other plastic surgeon opinions on his job and this is what I got from both of them: 1- " Are you sure the guy who did this job on you was a real plastic surgeon? " 2- " I do a much tighter job on tummy tucks and get all the fat and extra skin from the sides so they have nice curves, something that your Dr.( Dr, Kim ) didn't do on me! After 2 surgeries and almost $20.000 later, I went back to him last month KNOWING what I will be hearing from him and not asking him to do anything for me, but just to be comfortable with my own conscious that I have given him another chance to either offer to fix it or at least admit his horrible job. I got my V line botox injection done by Dr. Lee and the result was phenomenal!!! My friends have been complimenting me and saying how refreshing I look. :D Not only the dramatic result, but Dr. Lee took the time to answer all my questions with a warm, big smile. He has excellent bedside manners. I was very comfortable with my first visit with him and I can tell he really knows what he's doing.
