Dr. Doese is an artist as well as an excellent physician. He is very professional, yet easy to talk to and answers questions in an easy to understand way. His transformation of my deformed, painful breasts was truly amazing. He did this 40 years after reconstruction due to breast cancer. He removed the ruptured implants and completely restored normal appearing breasts. Lisa, Lizzy and Amy are all fabulous. If I had a question it was almost immediately answered by Lizzy. Amy was always so kind and helpful. Lisa made it a pleasure just to walk in the front door. I felt like a princess when I was there. Another point is the appearance of the office. Although this would not be the reason why someone would choose an office, it makes the experience truly amazing, all the way down to the stylish gown that you wear once you are in the exam room. My wife has been treated by Dr Dozie for nearly 20 years with a variety of surgeries on her breasts which were all successful. This year Dr Dozie completed a breast lift and implant replacement and the results were outstanding. The procedure was complex and a very long surgery that was completed exactly as planned with no complications. Her recovery went very well and her life is now better than ever. Dr Dozie is not only an outstanding surgeon, but he has a great personality and very good bedside manner which always gave my wife confidence for any procedure. I can't even rate Dr. Allen Doezie's work at all, because after I went in for consultation, his office at Mission Plastic Surgery in Orange failed to provide documentation to my insurance company for over 5 months, even with multiple followups from my primary nurse. Then his office had to appeal my case so they could submit clinical documents they were originally supposed to provide the first-time. After providing documentation, my insurance company denied the appeal because this office faxed in copies of photos which were too dark and grainy for evaluation among other rationale. (Who even use fax machines this day and age?) I'm over his office and the lack of customer service provided. $$$ for consultation went down the drain, because I'm done trying to get his office to do their job and will be taking my business somewhere else. read more

I'm a bit confused.. because I know the doctor, and he does excellent work.. Its his STAFF that is killing his business.. I call yesterday to schedule a consult, and possible referral for Ins to Pay.. Plus I have bee there before, I'm a Past Patient. Everything is go well until they say you need to pay $100 to even talk to the doctor because too many people have come for consults, and decided not to return. I again told them I'm a PAST patient, and it s maybe a referral, & that my wife is also MD, and referrals to there site. At That point they got down right NASTY, and said I did not RESPECT them or there time, They also said I was NAME DROPPING, and Threating because I said I will tell people NOT to referrer to them because they charge a fee just to talk to the doctor : ( WOW, then they hung the phone on me. read more

I was referred to this office by my Gyno who used to share an office with Dr. Doeizie. I tried making an appointment today but his office, Lisa specifically said that she is not willing to check if my insurance accepts Dr. Doeszie as an in network doctor. I told her that normally a physician's office takes my insurance information over the phone and checks with them and then proceeds accordingly. No she says, " I am not willing to spend an hour with insurance to see if we take your insurance or not." So, i will not have a major plastic surgery with this office if the good doctor is treating patients from the get go like this. This review is not about Dr. Doezie's ability as a surgeon because he has not done any procedures for me. I went to see Dr. Doezie for a consultation for reconstruction after a mastectomy on the right side. He seemed very knowledgeable and had a good bed side manner. When I wanted to schedule the surgery I was told that my ins would not cover the reconstruction of the non-cancerous side, which I thought was untrue. So I was told I needed to pay out of pocket for that. I called my ins co and confirmed that they did in fact cover the surgery for both breasts because it is medically necessary for symmetry. I got all the codes and contacted Lisa w the info. It took her a long time to return my messages. I found out that if your ins co covers a mastectomy, it will cover the reconstruction even if there is cancer only in one. It is the law, WHCRA that was signed in 1998, so it's not a new law. Makes me wonder how many people have paid out of pocket for a covered procedure? I feel like this is completely unethical, if you accept ins you should be willing to do all the surgery that is covered by it regardless of what the ins co pays you for your service. Either accept it or don't, but don't tell people they have to pay out of pocket for something that is covered. Being diagnosed w cancer is stressful enough! read more

Could not be more thrilled with my results. I am about 4 weeks post op from breast lift and augmentation. I had more bruising from my IV then I did from the actual surgery. Darcy and Dr. Doezie helped me determine the size of my implants and they turned out exactly as I had hoped. Lisa has been very accommodating with my post op schedule and it is always nice to see her at the office. Dr. Doezie has a great balance of personality that made me feel very comfortable in his care. I came to Dr. Doezie for a lipectomy, or the removal of a fatty cyst, to the layman. It was on the top of my head, and I am forced to shave my head due to recession. Needless to say I was quite concerned about scarring. Dr. Doezie is quite skilled and it healed amazingly so even after a fresh shave (every Sunday evening) the scar isn't noticeable. read more

Dr. Doezie is the absolute best at what he does! I went into his office for a consultation on a breast lift. I already have large breasts and after having kids and nursing them, they were droopy, flopped like fish and went in two separate directions. On top of all of that, I was having major neck pain, especially in the summer time. From the moment I stepping into his office, I was completely at ease. I was adamant about not wanting an implant and to be honest, he never suggested I get one. He said I didn't need it, and we could do the lift and get back some of the volume I had lost. Dr. Doezie is very patient, explains everything in detail and is easy to talk to you. He performed the surgery about 5 months ago, and I could not be happier! Please be aware of hidden charges and staff being unprofessional and rude. My Daughter received her first mammogram and was diagnosed with breast cancer, at the end of January she had emergency surgery since the cancer was fast moving. My Daughter lives in Idaho, I live in Laguna Hills, a friend referred me to Dr. Doezie, as I was looking for a second opinion, I phoned to see if Dr. Doezie would be able to conduct a zoom meeting, they said yes. No one ever discussed a consultation fee or any fee that would be charged for the zoom meeting. My Daughter had the zoom meeting; however, due to her condition with the mastectomy Dr. Doezie said he would not be able to advise her as to what he could do for her without seeing her in person advising her that if she is ever in the area to please see him in the office. As of today (a month and half after the zoom meeting) my Daughter received in the mail a bill for several hundred dollars. I phoned the billing department, billing said that they would have Dr. Doezie's office call me back. Dr. Doezie's office did phone back, I believe Liz or Lisa was her name; she began to lecture me on how Doctor Appointments work, as if a 60/year old woman does not have a clue as to how Doctor Appointments work and plastic surgery consultations work (not all surgeons charge a consultation fee). After the back and forth I was advised rudely that they would be sending the bill to collection. As a business owner I would not want my front of office staff addressing potential clients in this matter. I certainly am not going to feel the pinch in paying the bill, but by law they are to advise you of their fee(s) upfront and typically they collect any fee(s) prior to your appointment. I tried to phone the office back after being hung-up on but they wouldn't pick up the phone, I did leave a message for Dr. Doezie but never received a call back. Being in Southern California, there are a lot of reputable Plastic Surgeons, no need to give an establishment with front office staff that are extremely rude your business, I would hate to see how they address patients that may have difficulties with their surgery or if they may not be extremely happy with their results (plastic surgery is very subjective), again, this confrontation was over a consultation fee, go elsewhere. read more

I had been wanting a breast augmentation for several years and my was heart set on having the implants placed through the armpit. I knew I had to do extensive research to find a surgeon that specializes in this due to the technicality of it. I was recommended to Dr. Doezie and did not look any further! During my consultation, Dr. Doezie and his assistant Darcy took time to educate me on everything I needed to know about breast implants and breast augmentations! Darcy was so personable by helping me try on several implant sizes and deciding which size we liked best - it felt like a fun shopping outing, haha! I had my surgery done at Mission Surgery Center and it was such a wonderful experience. The nurses at the surgery center were so friendly and took great care of me. Dr. Doezie utilizes the "pain pump" which dripped numbing medicine into my chest area for several days post op - this was a huge luxury to have and I was so grateful for this because many surgeons do not do this; my pain levels were very low and I did not need to take much pain medication at all! I had a post op the day after my surgery and Darcy showed my mom how to do the "exercises" to prevent scar tissue from forming and to help the implants drop into place. Although this was the most painful part, I am so glad Dr. Doezie emphasized the importance of doing these exercises because I could not be happier with how my breasts turned out. The implants fully dropped into place about 3-4 months later and they are absolutely perfect. My scars are tiny & look like an armpit crease - everyone I show is so amazed by how tiny the scars are! I receive so many compliments on how wonderfully placed and perky my breasts are. So I am going on 14 months after the surgery. I am just as pleased as I was right after. Couldn't have made a better decision.

Unfortunately I was diagnosed with breast cancer and was left with a very difficult decision with regards to the action I would take. Dr Doezie and his staff were all so helpful, kind, and compassionate with me and spent all the time I needed answering question after question on each of my appointments. I can't specifically rate Doezie because he never made it into the exam room. I was referred to him by my primary provider (following an accident leaving a larger scar on my face). When I scheduled the apt, I was asked to come in 15 minutes early to complete paperwork. I was 20 minutes early and completed the paperwork in a few minutes. After sitting in the waiting room for a total of 25 minutes I was escorted into an examination room where I was completely ignored for another 30 minutes. I walked out into the lobby to see if there was perhaps an emergency and/or maybe I should reschedule, the lobby was vacant. I called the office I was standing in and got no answer. I walked out to my car and redialed the # and counted 12 rings before they answered the phone. I must say that the person (Darcy) that initially greeted me was quite polite/friendly and the office was clean & comfortable. These are the only reasons Dr Doezie gets two stars instead of one. read more

We love our little girl and our dog so much so this was a very difficult situation for us. It has been over 2 years since my breast augmentation and full tummy tuck and I could not be happier. From the very beginning I was impressed by Dr. Doezie. He answered every single one of my questions with patience. I imagined being asked the same questions day after day can be annoying, but he never made me feel that way. The surgery and recovery were (scary of course), but his calm nature relaxed me completely. And the results! Amazing! I held off on a breast augmentation for years because I hate that fake boob look and feel. But my boobs feel so real and no one even realized I had a boob job (I had previously worn padded bras). The most anyone said was, "your boobs have been looking fantastic lately"! For so many years I wished I had bigger boobs and now my only regret was that I did not do it much sooner. As for my tummy tuck, it is a bigger surgery with a longer recovery, so it was definitely harder, but I would do it again in a minute.
