Left full and more than satisfied with leftovers! For 4 people, we got the choice of 3 spreads and Mixed Grill (beef & lamb gyro, pork gyro, chicken souvlaki, bifteki) with the side of Lemon Potatoes and Grilled Veggies. Would recommend not ordering Tzatziki only because it will come with the complimentary pita chips and your Grill platter. Really loved the crispiness of the Pork Gyro, sweetness of the Bifteki, and of course, the juiciness of the Chicken Souvlaki.

Picked up two bowls for dinner, along with a couple of spreads. Both the chicken souvlaki and chicken gyro bowls were delicious, and the spicy feta was top notch. The disparity between the amount of meat in the gyro versus the souvlaki bowl was a bit disappointing - definitely didn't feel like the chicken souvlaki bowl was worth the price given the amount of chicken. Would come back, but definitely would also order differently next time. (Also, the vegetables in the bowl were large chunks - be prepared to need to cut them down prior to eating)

It has been a while so decided to give this place a try. I def had a better meal and see the lemon potatoes are so much better! Delish! You can mix the souvlaki which I liked, I got 2 chicken and 1 pork. The pork souvlaki actually was better than chicken. The tzatziki sauce was good, and the pita was really good. Usually I don't care for pita but theirs was good! The salad could use a little more love like throw in a little feta. The souvlaki sticks were on the smaller size. But overall def had a better meal! Will try their gyro platter again next time!

Very welcoming decor, brightly decorated in blue and white ( just like a restaurant in Greece). Staff very friendly, our server Nikki was amazing. Very delicious food with generous portions. Next time we will try their brunch menu. There were four of us for lunch one ordered Greek eggs Benedict ( sorry, no photos) and it looked amazing. We will definitely come back.

3.5 stars overall. Restaurant looks quite new and very clean in the decor. The dining room is very well lit and looks semi casual overall. There is a back dining area for bigger groups or for when the front gets full. We were lucky to score a table near the semi-open kitchen counter area so we could kind of see the action. The wall is still high but we could see the plates coming out. Our experience was hit or miss this visit. The Ouzo Charred octopus we ordered had two temperatures, warm to hot so that was a little off. And it was overcooked, quite chewy, which led me to think that this was octopus reheated. I hope it was not the case. The Ouzo itself had a nice dry-anise flavor but the octopus not tender, didn't save the dish. I also ordered the fried zucchini chips, which is usually one of my favorite guilty pleasures dining at Greek places but I didn't care for the batter on these. The kolokithokeftedes were just not crispy as expected. Onto the entrees, my dining companion did not enjoy her shrimp skewers, it was grilled to a nice color but slightly under seasoned. To be fair, she just returned from Greece so she may be judging more harshly. I had ordered the keftiko, which was a tender, slow cooked lamb entree. This was good but had a gamey after taste. I didn't mind since I like lamb but for those on the fence, this dish is not for you. The herbd and spices I enjoyed along with the side salad and fries. We passed on dessert even though we were curious. The waiter was quite attentive and that we appreciated. Plates were good portions and while I'm not running back, I'd return to try something else. I love Greek food afterall and I didn't get to order the gyro which is really a better barometer for testing out this place.

I came here for brunch today and everything exceeded my expectations. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the food was so good I can't wait to come back. The Greek music playing makes you feel like you are in Greece along with all the decor.

Plateia GR is like a block from my friends' house in Bayside. We picked it up for dinner on a Monday. I ordered a Gyro with feta and no tomato. My friends ordered a chicken plate and a gyro plate. I love all the Greek food in Queens. Super generous portions too!

First time visiting here as a group. All the food we ordered arrived fresh and delicious. Desserts were also fresh, and their coffee was excellent too. Service was outstanding as well.

4.25 This will probably become a regular spot for Greek/Mediterranean food in our rotation. Plateia GR just opened recently and took over the location of a place wifey and I used to order from, Kalamaki GR. We were hoping this place would be just as good, and it did not disappoint. From the outside and in, I love how Plateia GR brightened everything up. The white exterior paint (even the sidewalk design) and the interior decor make the place feel livelier and more inviting. The service at Plateia GR was okay. Our server, quite honestly, wasn't the greatest. It took a while to get our order, and he didn't seem to pay much attention to us afterwards. The busser and one of the people behind the counter seemed to take better care of us, so kudos to them. After our initial order, we wanted to try something else and the person behind the counter noticed I needed something and put the order in. The food, however, was pretty good. They bring out seasoned pita with a generous portion of really good tzatziki. I love how their tzatziki has a strong garlic flavor. We ordered the Plateia Chips (fried zucchini and eggplant), Gyro Platter (beef/lamb) with fries, a Chicken Souvlaki Platter with rice, and an order of lemon potatoes. The Plateia Chips were great--the breading and seasoning complemented them well. The chicken souvlaki was done perfectly; it was juicy and flavorful. The fries, lemon potatoes, and rice were solid. The gyro meat, however, seemed a bit dry. A nice touch at Plateia GR is their branding. The disposable paper tablecloths and their bags are stamped with their logo, which adds a nice personal flair.

We had a delightful lunch yesterday at this new Greek restaurant. The décor was lovely and really transports you to the Greek isles with its traditional Greek blue and white color scheme, shutters, painted sidewalk and blond wood floors and tables. We were greeted as soon as we came in and the owner even came over to chat with us during our meal. We got: Choice of 3 Spreads ($16): we choose the Tzatziki (cucumber yogurt dip), Kopanisti (spiced feta dip) and Eggplant dip. It came with toasted pita bread. Our favorite hands down among the 3 dips was the Tzatziki. It was tangy and creamy and yummy. Pita Sandwich ($14): this comes in your choice of protein (10 options) and we got one each with Pork and Chicken Souvlaki. The sandwiches had tomatoes, onions, tzatziki and French fries. Very hearty and filling. We thought the Chicken Souvlaki was good, but we loved the Pork Souvlaki. We ended up ordering an extra stick of Pork Souvlaki meat as a result. French Fries ($9): delicious, crispy and fresh. I wish it came with a dip but alas we had to make do with ketchup Single Pork Souvlaki Stick ($4): perfectly grilled, smoky, tender pieces of pork. We ordered this because the pita sandwich didn't have enough meat for our liking. It's nice not to have to schlep to Astoria for good Greek food. And soon they will have an outdoor patio area in the back of the restaurant. Another good reason to come and visit them.

I was exuberant for the occasion of goodness to patronize, at long last. What gives you hope. There is an outdoor seating patio that occupies the entire sidewalk and half the street. The weather was gloomy cloudy, but not raining which enable my party of two to dine outdoors. Our table was uneven wobbling and shaking minimal the entire meal which reminisce "Lisa from Temecula" sketch from "Saturday Night Live," but not as violently aggressive shaking. Customer service is average attentive. Oddly, our appetizers arrived first and my wine did not. We had to request my wine which should be distributed first without request or reminder, thus the four stars. This restaurant was not entirely busy nor crowded for a Friday early afternoon. Nick's Bistro is a small cafe with a modern aesthetic appeal. I enjoy and prefer to be well-cultured expose to all international cuisines without judgment and an open mind for appreciation and global awareness. I am not knowledgeable with Greek cuisine, but I do know that Astoria is the locale for the go-to restaurants. I enter with a empty stomach. I exited fulfilled. Business cards and candy were available for grabs. Nick's Bistro is easily accessible via MTA NYC Transit buses Q53 SBS/ Q52 SBS and then Q54. Dramatic irony: this business name is also the name of my former love - not the same Nick, certainly not the same man. My foodie synopsis: Lamb gyro sandwich, $12.00 The meat was soft, but fresh and Tzatziki sauce was heavy. I do not consume lamb often, but once in a blue moon I would not exclude lamb to consume. The pita bread was the highlight which was fresh, soft and cooked with a good consistency without burning or harden. The gyro contain very pauacity minimal vegetables of lettuce, half cherry tomato and red onion. I always prefer red onion. I prefer regular tomato. This sandwich ate my fill to sustain hunger pangs the entire afternoon. Gyro sandwich is always my default Greek entrée of choice. Oddly, this entrée is price higher than listed on their website for $9.00. I do not believe their website is updated for price. Caesar salad, small $11.25 It was fresh and delightful filled with Parmesan shaved cheese. This portion is actually medium size. The croutons are thankfully not hard, but I never like croutons at all. I am always enamored with the lettuce. Ruffino, Chianti, 2019 red wine $12.00 This wine is one of my favorite reds, but it is difficult to find at most restaurants or cafés not widely offer. It was a joyous delight. It is exactly as is dry, very medium-bodied smooth finish Italian red wine from Tuscany, Italy, crafted from indigenous Sangiovese grape. It highlight bright cherry flavors and surely tasted. I was floating in very high spirits. Chicken rice soup, pint $6.95 Served luke warm but not piping hot with steam visibly emitted. It was also served with Oyster crackers. It was enjoyable and warm the heart. Greek Omelet, over easy egg whites $16.50 It was served with Greek feta cheese with vegetables yellow zucchini and pita chips. I highly despise Greek feta cheese and the same for Greek yogurt because both are extremely heavy, thick and too rich. I do not see any tomatoes. This entrée did appeared well prepared and well cooked but no runny yoke. My neighbor thoroughly enjoyed this entrée. Every time I think of omelet it bring flashbacks from past long-haul international flights major airlines of standard airplane food popularity for in-flight breakfast, often served with potatoes, sausage, or roasted vegetables. Nostalgia brew. Omelet? Flight attendant, I'll take the Continental with pastries, toast and fresh fruit please. Then followed by Bedtime Care Bear make me fall asleep again.

I sat by the window, which gave me a peaceful view and made the experience feel even more special. From the moment I arrived, I felt so well taken care of. The server Eduardo was kind and attentive, the space was elegant yet comfortable, and the whole atmosphere was inviting. I ordered a delicious fish dish FRIED FILET OF SOLE, tartar sauce and lemon served with potatoes and green beans - fresh, simple, and perfectly cooked. For my appetizer, I chose TZATZIKI Greek yogurt, cucumber & garlic - flavorful and unique! They also brought out fresh bread with garlic oil, which was a lovely touch. At the end of the meal, they surprised me with a complimentary dessert. It looked like a delicate, nut-free baklava, served beautifully with fresh pineapple and orange slices on the side. It was light, sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal. Prices were average for the area and definitely worth it for the quality and experience. Take a look at the pictures - they really say it all. If you're in Forest Hills, don't miss this charming spot.
